Amazing
XXushushu## Environment
The location is absolutely stunning, directly facing snow-capped mountains and a picturesque hillside. The view from our room window was simply gorgeous. It's also conveniently located right next to the train station, and you can even watch trains pass through the beautiful scenery.
## Facilities
Although the hotel is historic, it's impeccably clean and well-maintained. It beautifully combines classic charm with modern conveniences. Parking is available but costs 25 CHF per day.
## Service
Overall, the service was quite good. However, on our second day, housekeeping didn't replenish our complimentary water bottles, seemingly because we hadn't finished the ones from the previous day. When we finished them and called reception for more, we were initially told there would be a charge. After we explained that the water hadn't been refilled during cleaning, they promptly sent some up free of charge. Interestingly, the mini-bar drinks are complimentary. On a lighter note, the cleaning staff accidentally left a cleaning cloth behind, haha! Each of us also received a complimentary voucher for the evening lounge, redeemable for a drink while enjoying live piano music – a really nice touch. The pool was wonderfully empty, but unfortunately, the sauna was out of order that day.

Is pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel that left a lasting impression. From its impeccable design to the delectable breakfast, my experience was delightful overall. Although the weather didn't quite cooperate during my stay, the hotel's fantastic service more than made up for it.
The hotel's interior design is simply stunning. Every aspect of the decor exudes elegance and sophistication. The attention to detail is evident, and it creates a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the premises. The architecture and furnishings are tastefully chosen, providing a luxurious and comfortable ambiance for guests.
One of the highlights of this hotel is undoubtedly the breathtaking view. Unfortunately, I encountered some bad luck with the weather during my stay, which limited my ability to fully enjoy the surroundings. However, even through the mist and rain, I could sense the beauty that lay beyond the hotel's windows. I can only imagine how magical it would be on a clear day.
The service at this hotel is truly exceptional. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in every interaction, making the stay truly enjoyable.
breakfast was simply delicious! The array of options available was impressive, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. this hotel left a lasting impression on me. The well-designed interiors, the mesmerizing view (even through the rain), the exceptional service, and the mouthwatering breakfast made my stay truly remarkable. If you're looking for a hotel that combines elegance, comfort, and impeccable service, this is the place to be.
AAngelaYauThe hotel is uphill at the other end of grindelwald, not too close to Grindelwald station and Coop, fortunately the door is bus 121, 122, 123, but at first I saw Google map that it was a 15-minute walk from the train station only, but I knew it was quite hard to push luggage up the slope
Fortunately, it is close to Pfingstegg and First cable car stations, and Jungfrau must either take bus 121, 123 or train to Grindelwald Terminal station, change to the Eiger Cable car, or go to Grindelwald station and take the Train to Kleine Scheidegg
Although I live up to 4/F, the room has no air conditioning, so insects have entered the room🫨
But the scenery is beautiful, the room is big, the worst thing is no refrigerator, can only cook the noodles in the room
Breakfast itself thought there was very little food, but you can order hot drink and egg separately, which is quite good
Although seeing hotel restaurant dinner seems to be praised by many people, but too expensive, the cheapest is the 4-course menu d fine din, have to over CHF100
FForever64Our room was on the second floor, and it seemed the hotel was undergoing a phase two expansion, as our window view was dominated by scaffolding. What's more, the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. We stayed in mid-August during a heatwave, and the staff could only provide us with a fan. Fortunately, the evening temperatures weren't too high, so we managed. The room's amenities were also incredibly basic. For a room costing over 2000 a night, there wasn't even a bedside table. It really just underscores how high prices are in Switzerland. On the plus side, the location is very convenient; you can spot the hotel right from the train station exit. The staff were also quite pleasant.
MMy Beautiful GaiaIt is a hostel so you should expect what you paid for … over all the front staff Julian and Isabelle were the nicest, the lodge is just a doorsteps to the Grindelwald Terminal … there is a transport village bus card which the front desk will give you so that you can use this to go around the Main Village and just right around Grindelwald ..
— the bad side, in mixed dorm the room is very tiny for 6beds it’s not really very comfortable specially when someone walking around with his boxer shorts 😞 … the facilities are pristine but they don’t provide towels in room you have to ask this in front desk - it’s the cheapest place in town but it’s the loveliest the bar grill is so relaxing while sipping with your ginger ale … the breakfast can’t complain it’s all delish with all those bowls of yogurt and freshly brewed coffee yum
AANHUAThe hotel is on the way to the First cable car, Bort station, more than 1,600 meters above sea level, from the Grindelwald train station by car, about 20 minutes, the mountain trail 18 bends, test the car skills but the scenery is beautiful, the snow mountain is in front of you. It is said that the navigation information of Apple Map is not allowed, and it is very crazy to ask for help from the hotel. Finally, it depends on Baidu map (the domestic SIM card cannot be used on Google). We have 2 big 2 small booking triple rooms (the youngest is only 3 years old), there is no problem with staying. The room is not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Dinner is good, 4 people 80 yuan to get. There is a children's playground next to them and the children have a great time. In short, the scenery is first-class, self-driving is still convenient and comfortable, recommended.
__yt00310110****The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and shops conveniently nearby. The view from our room's balcony was like a beautiful painting, with the majestic Eiger mountain right across. Plus, the First mountain cable car station is just a hundred meters directly opposite the hotel entrance. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, satisfying even my 'Chinese palate'. Most of the hotel staff provided great service across all departments. Housekeeping cleaned our room thoroughly every day, and the young, handsome guys in the self-service restaurant were particularly warm and proactive, making our dining experience very pleasant. The only downside was a female waitress at the hotel's cheese fondue restaurant on the first floor. She wasn't wearing a name tag, was petite, had a ponytail, medium build, and appeared to be around forty years old. Her attitude was absolutely terrible and incredibly rude! It was barely 6 PM, and over half the restaurant was clearly empty. I politely started to ask her in English, 'There are three of us...' but before I could even finish my sentence, she rolled her eyes at me, waved her hand dismissively, and loudly and impatiently blurted out in broken English, 'Full, full! It's completely full! Can't you see, there are no seats left!' It was absolutely infuriating. I've traveled to many countries, both domestically and internationally, and this is the first time I've encountered such an awful hotel staff member! And it felt very obviously discriminatory! Honestly, the fondue restaurant itself smells pretty bad, and encountering such a terrible waitress instantly diminished the beautiful scenery and our good mood. I still recommend staying at this hotel, but I advise caution when considering the smelly fondue restaurant on the first floor because of that particular waitress!
AAnonymous UserLocated quite far uphill and far from train station, you will rely on bus 122 to reach / leave the hostel, which only operates until around 6pm. The view from the hostel is not bad, with quite a large outdoor area. The building itself is an old wooden structure and it is very easy to hear the noise from other rooms. Only two toilets / shower rooms per gender per floor but so far it is ok. Just be reminded that there is no individual electric socket for each bed and the lamp above the bed does not seem to work.
TTravel bear around JapanWe are staying in Grindelwald for a couple of days and we spent one night in this hotel.
The location is a bit far away from the train station and it’s exhausting to carry heavy luggage over the slopes between station and hotel.
The price is reasonable and the balcony view of Eiger is stunning. The hotel looks quite old where no ventilation system can be found in washroom. Wi-Fi signal is poor and we were unable to connect it in the room.
We appreciate the breakfast as the food quality is good but seems the number of staff is limited. They are required to work in the reception for check in/out enquiries and at the same time busy rushing to the breakfast area to clean up the tables and food.
DDariaThe hotel was located in the middle of the hill, just like many of the hotels in Grindelwald. There was free bus in the area so it was easy getting up and down. Yet, the bus service stops at around 6 or 7pm, and you will have to walk up the hill from the train station for about 20 minutes. Also, potentially because it was in the middle of the mountain or it was winter, it felt very dry in the middle of the night. It would be nice if there can be a humidifier in the room.
However, the view of the room is absolutely worth it. You can look at mountains like Eigerblick just from your room and the breakfast buffet, and it is extremely breathtaking.
The breakfast buffet included was decent, with fruits, bread, cereal, some hot food and drinks. In particular the eggs were very nicely done.
The bathroom looks a bit old-fashioned and narrow, with slightly insufficient lighting, but overall it was clean and good.
The service was generally good. We were greeted with great smiles and friendliness by the reception and staff at the breakfast buffet.
Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it:)
