Grindelwald Hotels with Breakfast

The views are absolutely stunning, and the hotel's facilities are excellent. The staff are also very welcoming and helpful. Getting around is super convenient too; it's just a few minutes' walk to Grindelwald station, and the hotel even offers a shuttle service to the train station.

This hotel is quite popular, and I managed to snag a south-facing balcony room for two days by booking a month in advance, then booked a north-facing room for the last day. The south-facing rooms are marketed for their Eiger views, but since we were on the second floor, most of our view was blocked by an old hotel undergoing renovation across the street. If you can get a higher floor, the south-facing rooms would be great. What was surprisingly good was the north-facing room on the last day; it also faced a beautiful hillside, got excellent, unobstructed sunlight, and had a very peaceful and lovely vibe. Plus, the rooftop terrace offers stunning views of both the north and south sides, so there's no need to be too particular about the room type. The hotel's location is definitely its best feature; it's incredibly convenient. Sometimes you can see the train arriving and still make it downstairs in time. After a day of hiking, it's amazing to step off the train and right into the hotel! For this price, it offers great value for money in Grindelwald during summer!

The room was small but clean. The hotel is right next to the train station exit, and there's a bus terminal directly in front. Just a short walk down the hill diagonally opposite the hotel leads to a hiking trail towards the scenic Grund station. The hotel provided a free bus ticket for one stop, and I took the 123 bus which offered the most beautiful views. The restaurant on the ground floor was very busy, and a thin elderly lady working there was very enthusiastic and nice. It was a bit noisy at night due to many people drinking and chatting downstairs. Sitting on the large terrace on the 5th floor in the evening, enjoying the mountain view, was very pleasant.

Such a cute little hotel right by Grindelwald train station! Only thing is that it is up a really steep hill, no joke to climb up while dragging your luggage. Rooms were very roomy and clean. They kindly upgraded one of our rooms to a bigger room, which was really generous. Breakfast was simple but satisfying and delicious. There were cows at the patch of grass next to the hotel, which amused us greatly. Would recommend.

Loved that we could still see the mountain from our room! Like that the hotel restaurant offered 10% discount to guests! The cheese fondue was great! Service staff were generally friendly and accommodating - one of the nicer staff we met throughout our switz trip One small feedback: Need to request kettle from front counter - wish they told us before we came up so we didn’t need to specially go down to request for it.

各方面都挺好的我們住了兩晚，酒店就在first山的半山腰Bort這個纜車🚡上下點，其中有個遊樂項目Trottibike的起點就在這裏終點在山腳，我們要在first玩所以定了這個酒店，酒店不大總共10多個房間，房間沒有空調，夏天上半夜有點熱，下半夜就沒問題，冬天有制暖器。如果入住這裏大家一定記得提前在下午五點前check in，因為我們要在山下的小鎮格林德瓦坐纜車上來的，纜車最後一班大概在下午5點-6點，除非是自駕車，不然晚上上來酒店很麻煩。大家如果喜歡安靜且希望窗户直接可以看first景色的話這裏就挺好的，酒店下面吃自助早餐的位置也很好對着雪山，房間價格還行，下山做纜車衹有一站，從Bort到山下十多分鐘。對了酒店旁邊還有個適合小孩玩的小樂園。

We stayed at Grindelwald for four nights. The hotel lobby offers complimentary coffee and tea, and outside of breakfast hours, the hotel restaurant is freely accessible to guests. You can use the microwave and induction cooker to prepare food, but you'll need to bring your own pots. We dined at the restaurant next door five times in a row, and not once did we have a complaint. It seems 'white people food' didn't overwhelm our Chinese palates. A friendly tip: definitely don't order rice with Western meals; the undercooked rice in Switzerland is truly awful – we fell for it more than once. The train and bus stations are just a two to three-minute walk from the hotel, making transportation incredibly convenient. Prices in Switzerland are exorbitant; a typical steak at a restaurant costs around 500, a fish dish about 400, and a bottle of sparkling water 85. For two meals a day, food alone can cost 1000 big bucks. Compared to back home, everything here is simply expensive. The hotel provides luggage storage. After speaking with the front desk, they'll give you a key so you can store your luggage yourself, lock the door, and then return the key to the front desk.

The location is at Grindelwald Terminal, not Grindelwald village itself. This is basically the transfer point for Jungfraujoch, which is convenient if you're heading up there. However, there are no shops around, so it's quite desolate. It might suit those who prefer peace and quiet. If you want to go to First mountain, you'll need to take the train to the next stop. The good thing here is that the hotel is a short walk from the station, so you don't have to drag your luggage up any hills. If you're hoping to see the 'Dreamy Hillside' (Eiger North Face views), I'd recommend choosing a hotel closer to Grindelwald station. The shower drain was clogged; the water nearly overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Also, there's no fan in the room, so it could get quite stuffy and hot during the summer.

This is an accommodation that made me cry and laugh during my trip to Switzerland :) First of all, if you look at the facilities, it is clean and nice since it was recently opened. There was an elevator and a kitchen available, but there were almost no dishes or appliances. There was no problem with cooking at all. The location is a very far walk from Grindelwald Station, or a short bus ride away. 🌟Throw away the idea of ​​walking with your luggage on the first day.🌟 This is a vertical hike that you can never climb without carrying your luggage. Be sure to check the bus schedule before taking the bus (it's convenient to use the SBB app). Your accommodation will give you a Grindelwald guest card, so you can ride the bus for free. (I had a Jungfrau VIP coupon, so I didn’t use it.) The reasons I cried were: 1) As soon as I arrived, there was no one, so I called and waited for about an hour, but no one answered and didn't come. There were people staying, so I had to wait in the lobby. I had another number on my laptop, so I called, but no one answered. 2) While I was waiting, a man called and asked why I was calling. When I told him I wanted to check in, he said I was fully booked for today, so what did I mean? I told him my reservation number and he said he would understand. Later, he came running in from outside and asked for my passport. Didn't say a single word of apology. (I was very angry here.) Anyway, in conclusion, he said that there was a reservation history on Trip.com but not in his system, so he had me check it and said he would do something about it since there were no rooms available. However, his attitude was not that he was sorry and was trying to do something, but rather that he was annoyed with me. 3) In the end, they gave us our room keys condescendingly, as if they had made it very difficult for us to get a room, and we were very upset that they were sorry for waiting for an hour and that there was no compensation, but we wanted to rest in the room quickly, so we brought the keys up. However, as shown in the picture, they gave me a room without a terrace... Obviously, the room I paid for had a terrace on the reservation screen, and I made the reservation with that in mind, so when I went to argue with them, they said that the room I had reserved was that room. (I was told that it was given to me because I had created a room, but when I went down and inquired, I found out that the room was originally assigned...) 4) Then, while showing a picture of the reservation screen on 'Booking.com', he enthusiastically emphasizes that the room may or may not have a terrace. The problem is that I paid through 'Trip.com' and the room type I booked on Trip.com is not available. All photos showed a terrace. When I said that, he got very angry and told me to cancel it for free and to leave if I didn't like it. To be honest, these words sounded very threatening to me, and I was so intimidated by the man's attitude that I was afraid that he might do something to me. I sometimes wonder if they are speaking in such a threatening manner because I am a woman and Asian. [I notified Booking.com's customer service center of my move, and now the reservation screen for the room I selected also includes a photo of a room without a terrace.] Anyway, for this reason, I started my trip to Switzerland very angry and depressed. ㅠ ㅠ This room does not have a terrace and has a tree view, as someone left in a Google review... lol Next time I go again, I think I'll just choose the room one level up because I'm worried about getting this room. Also, the toilet and bathroom were attached together, so it was shared by 3 rooms. Please note.

The Chalet Jungfrau in Grindelwald has an amazing location; you can see the 'dreamy hillside' right outside, with expansive views and absolutely stunning scenery. It's a shame the main building's view is slightly less spectacular than the annex. Overall, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, leaving you fully satisfied and starting the day on a high note. The only minor downside is that the facilities are a bit old and dimly lit. Overall, it offers good value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the 'dreamy hillside' and is looking for good value!
