We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

Traveling to Wuyishan during the off-season was wonderful; the autumn scenery was absolutely stunning with everything golden-hued. I specifically chose a guesthouse to better appreciate Wuyishan's natural beauty. Shuizhuang No. 8 Guesthouse is truly nestled within a park, offering distant mountain views and a close-up look at the river while you sip tea and admire the ginkgo trees right outside your door. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the surroundings are also quiet and comfortable. It's conveniently located with great transport links, and both the dining and accommodation are excellent. The service is warm and courteous, and the staff are very prompt in providing assistance. I'd highly recommend staying here over a hotel!

The courtyard is beautifully furnished, the room is clean and tidy, the breakfast is also very good, very close to the entrance of the South Gate Scenic Area, convenient access, the proprietress is warm and polite, and she came to the station to pick us up on the same day. When we checked in, we upgraded a large suite for free. The next day, Very happy to promise us to use her kitchen, let us have a very happy trip for the last 3 days, if you come again, you will choose Xiyu Yueting, and I will recommend it to friends.

Environment: The lobby is clean and bright, with comfortable sofas and a separate tea-tasting area. The indoor temperature is pleasant. Facilities: The room lights are smart-controlled; simply selecting 'bright' turns on all lights and opens the curtains. The lighting arrangement and brightness create a warm and cozy atmosphere. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, with a full set of toiletries. The entire room has underfloor heating, providing a comfortable temperature. I really liked the comfortable sofa, and the two tables, one high and one low, meet different usage needs. On the bed, there are two types of pillows provided: silicone and cotton. I enjoyed sleeping with the silicone pillow and hugging the cotton one. Both the mattress and duvet are very soft, ensuring excellent sleep quality. Hygiene: The hygiene is excellent; I had absolutely no worries or concerns about cleanliness. Bathtub and toilet seat covers were also provided, which was convenient! Service: Every time I left and returned, I was greeted and my needs were actively inquired about, giving me a feeling of being cared for by family back home. When I was tasting tea, I was also given an introduction, making for a great tea experience. Before I arrived, they even sent me a comprehensive guide to Wuyishan and its surroundings, covering food, accommodation, and transportation, which was very practical. The 6th floor is an observation deck. If the outdoor temperature were a bit more comfortable, it would be perfect for working or chatting outside.

The hotel is located very close to the south entrance of Wuyishan, making it convenient to stroll and eat at the pedestrian street. The hotel service is warm and the place is clean and hygienic. The owner is very kind and upgraded our room for free. He also gave us two small packets of authentic Da Hong Pao tea. The hotel has complete facilities and amenities. The hotel's own back garden is beautiful, and there is a bookstore with a large floor-to-ceiling window facing Da Wang Peak. The sunset view in the evening is absolutely stunning. It was a truly wonderful experience.

The service was excellent, exceptionally attentive and thoughtful, with a quick response and great attitude. There's even a dedicated tea room for hotel guests, and the facilities are comprehensive. I was very satisfied. The hotel also has adorable cats and dogs, which greatly enhances the experience. They even offer slow-brewed tea for hiking trips. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance. It's very close to nearby attractions, the old street, and the Impression Da Hong Pao restaurant.

The owner and his staff were really friendly. He also provided assistance, information and tips for the scenic attractions. His photography work is displayed in his home stay and also on the tv of the complementary Wuyishan bus service. It’s in a natural surrounding so expect one or two insects to come by. Breakfast is simple — I (and a passing wasp) love the tea eggs so much I bought extra for lunch and dinner. They sell Dahongpao ice cream too and it’s cheaper for guests compared to the ones outside. He also sells tea leaves. And I bought some because the taste of the samplers were good. The only gripe I have is with the shower — water pressure is not good but that’s not the location’s fault. It took a while for me to finally turn the knob to the magic spot where water temperature is just right — not too cold and not too hot. But hey, I’m paying to stay smack in the middle of the scenic area.

Choosing this hotel in Wuyishan was absolutely the right decision! We were traveling with elderly family members, and the front desk staff proactively helped us plan our sightseeing routes in the scenic area. They also recommended some authentic local restaurants tucked away in the alleys, which we thoroughly enjoyed and found to be delicious. Our room was spotless every day, and yesterday when I requested extra hangers, they were delivered within minutes of my call. My mom especially loved the Wuyi Rock Tea eggs at breakfast. We had such a comfortable stay that we extended it for another two nights. I've already recommended it to my friends, and we'll definitely be staying here again next time!

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients. It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch. The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.

Overall, I am satisfied with the old-fashioned style. The room is clean and tidy with complete facilities. Some suggestions: First, after booking a room, you have to go to the door by yourself, unlike other B&B owners who will contact you +V to remind you of things to pay attention to. Second, the house is not far from the north and south entrances of Wuyi Mountain, and is only across a bridge from the dining area, but you need to explore there by yourself. Third, when I was staying upstairs at night, I met two people chatting and walking around. The room was not soundproofed and the noise was very loud. I was woken up at around two o'clock in the middle of the night. I went out to look for the service staff, but no one was on duty. I could only stand in the yard and shout. Later, I ran upstairs and knocked on the door to remind them before they went to sleep quietly.
