👍👍👍 I had a wonderful stay at Tongmu Youmingju Homestay and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tongmu area. The homestay is located in a beautiful and peaceful natural setting, surrounded by mountains and forest. One of my favorite experiences was enjoying excellent local tea while sitting right next to the river, breathing the fresh mountain air and listening to the sound of the water. It is the perfect place to relax and experience the authentic atmosphere of Tongmu. The hosts are exceptionally kind, welcoming and always ready to help with anything. They made me feel like a guest in their home rather than just a customer. The homemade food was another highlight. Every meal was fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious. It was some of the best local food I had during my trip. As a tea enthusiast, I especially appreciated staying with a family that truly understands the local tea culture. Their knowledge and hospitality made my visit even more memorable. I genuinely enjoyed every day of my stay and was sad to leave. I will definitely come back, and from now on this will be my permanent place to stay whenever I visit the Wuyishan and Tongmu area. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

Traveling to Wuyishan during the off-season was wonderful; the autumn scenery was absolutely stunning with everything golden-hued. I specifically chose a guesthouse to better appreciate Wuyishan's natural beauty. Shuizhuang No. 8 Guesthouse is truly nestled within a park, offering distant mountain views and a close-up look at the river while you sip tea and admire the ginkgo trees right outside your door. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the surroundings are also quiet and comfortable. It's conveniently located with great transport links, and both the dining and accommodation are excellent. The service is warm and courteous, and the staff are very prompt in providing assistance. I'd highly recommend staying here over a hotel!

The hotel is very close to the scenic area. They offer complimentary tea-flavored quail eggs, biscuits, and candies, plus a free fan and a multi-purpose cup holder. We were lucky enough to get a free room upgrade to one with a small courtyard, perfect for drying clothes. The room was stocked with lots of snacks, mosquito repellent, insect bite relief, iodine cotton swabs, band-aids, hair ties, hand cream, and other useful small items. The guesthouse has a private chef, and the food is delicious and very reasonably priced! There are also cats and parrots in the lobby.

Whether you're already passionate about tea or just starting your journey, Buzhichun is the perfect place to stay in Wuyishan — a city deeply rooted in tea culture. The room is spacious, super clean, and thoughtfully designed with minimalist touches. The natural colors and materials create a calming atmosphere that feels like home — perfect for slow living. The bathroom is large, spotless, and well-equipped with amenities. I especially loved the beautiful natural light in the room. On the ground floor, there’s a vibrant tea shop where young locals drop by, creating a lively atmosphere. You'll find historical exhibitions and curated objects that offer insight into both Wuyishan and the rich heritage of Chinese tea. And don’t miss meeting Xiaobai, the friendly resident dog who’s always happy to greet guests. The 6th floor features a cozy tatami-style common room, complete with a go board and a tea table overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views — an ideal place to unwind. What truly sets this place apart is the host and the staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and always ready to share tea with you — each time you return from a walk or come downstairs. I stayed two nights and tried at least 6–7 different kinds of Wuyishan tea. Even as a solo traveler and a foreigner, I felt included in conversations and easily connected with other guests. Pro tip: If you know a bit of Chinese, it’ll help you dive deeper into the stories behind the place. But even if you don’t, the language of tea will still make you feel at home. Meticulously kept property at the northern end of the Wuyishan tourist area. It's a quieter area, which is 10 minutes by car from the tourist area and the Southern entrance of the Wuyishan Scenic Area and 5 minutes from the northern entrance. It's quite serene and away from the crowds. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again.

Tucked away in the mountains, this hotel offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, with its overall design exuding an elegant oriental charm. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the guest rooms provide breathtaking mountain views, and the bathtub by the window is perfect for a relaxing soak. The entire room is spotless, and the King Koil mattress is incredibly comfortable, ensuring a dreamless night's sleep. The butler service is attentive and polite, responding quickly to any requests. Guests can enjoy complimentary local rock tea. The hotel's amenities are excellent, and it's conveniently located, making it an ideal retreat from city life. Definitely worth recommending!

Our family stay with the kids was fantastic! They even upgraded us for free, which was a nice surprise. The room was really spacious, and the bed was huge. Plus, the hotel thoughtfully provided children's amenities. There are supermarkets and snack stalls nearby, making it super convenient for getting around with little ones. The staff were also very friendly towards the kids. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay and definitely our top choice for family travel!

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients. It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch. The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.

Choosing this hotel in Wuyishan was absolutely the right decision! We were traveling with elderly family members, and the front desk staff proactively helped us plan our sightseeing routes in the scenic area. They also recommended some authentic local restaurants tucked away in the alleys, which we thoroughly enjoyed and found to be delicious. Our room was spotless every day, and yesterday when I requested extra hangers, they were delivered within minutes of my call. My mom especially loved the Wuyi Rock Tea eggs at breakfast. We had such a comfortable stay that we extended it for another two nights. I've already recommended it to my friends, and we'll definitely be staying here again next time!
