FFong Suk HingGiven that this is a transit hotel, my only priority was to get some sleep, so I didn't pay much attention to other facilities. The room furnishings were basic and outdated.
When I booked on Trip.com, I wasn't aware that the hotel had North and South wings. As a result, the wheelchair attendant mistakenly took me to the North wing, and then we had to travel all the way back from North to South, an ordeal that wasted over an hour. Although the hotel's confirmation email did include some information about the location, the wheelchair attendant simply glanced at the hotel name and said 'OK, OK', and I myself had no idea about the two distinct wings. This confusion was entirely due to Trip.com's oversight.
The next day, I had arranged for the wheelchair attendant to pick me up at 2:00 PM. However, they only arrived at 2:38 PM. With boarding closing at 2:40 PM, I was extremely anxious, especially since the boarding gate was at the opposite end of the airport, an 8-minute drive away. We ended up being among the very last passengers to board.
LLuiz Mattos 2591The hotel instalations are in fair condition, but some little problems have got to be resolved.
The shower, keeps changing the temperature of the water, goes from cold to extremely hot constantly, so you have to get in and out of the shower so you don't get almost burn or frozen.
They do provide a safe on the room, but you cannot set your own combination, they have one fixed combination for each room, and it won't change regarding whos in the room. That means if the room is occupied for one person today, the combination will be the same for everyone occupying that room. It's fixed and very easy to be spread for the whole hotel staff.
The person attending us at checkout, I wouldn't say rude, but not very pleasant to deal with.
The mattress was very soft, it caused us some back pain.
The breakfat is very oriented to a specific ethnicity. You have not other options if you does not belong to that ethnicity.
But, anyway, besides all still a very good option for a quick and affordable stay.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located next to metro station, there are also small eateries and big supermarket nearby. There are all basic amenities in the room. Only downside I ve noticed is some unpleasant smell.
SSofia TrufanovaHonestly, I was pleasantly surprised by Al Liwan Residence. The room felt more like a small flat — huge living area, big fridge, microwave, dishes, everything you need for a few days. I liked that the area was quiet, and I always felt safe walking around.
The pool is not very big, but it was never crowded, so I could actually relax there. The only minor issue was that the water pressure in the shower wasn’t very strong, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.
The staff were very polite and helpful throughout my stay. For the price point, I think it’s great value.
KKosuke369The location is good as you can walk to famous sightseeing spots such as Musharaib Downtown and Souwaqif, and the nightly rate is not expensive, so it is recommended.

GGuest UserOverall, the hotel is not bad. The staff is friendly, the administrators are polite. The rooms correspond to the photos, I stayed in a standard and a suite. The only downside is the cockroaches... I won't say there were many of them, but they were encountered regularly. The location (close to the museum, metro) and the price allow me to give the hotel a solid four.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very quiet and the whole is very clean, but there is a smell in the room. This taste should be something that the old hotel will not be able to get rid of.  The restaurant next to it is also convenient to buy more things or a very good hotel for the place. Next time will 
LLivesofrealexpatsFor the price this was a decent hotel. It’s location is close to the airport and you get an apartment, the staff is incredibly friendly and there is a store across the street to get important items. I recommend this hotel 100% for a layover but nothing else.
For a layover it’s great, for a vacation not so much.
