Very Good
TtrpcOne of the few hotels in Big Sur that allow you to book a one-night stay on a weekend so this is a huge plus. No reception nor staff on site when you check in - keys are left in a key box outside your assigned room (which you will be informed of a couple days before your arrival). If you need help during your stay, your only option is emailing them.
Rooms are dated but clean. No dining options on site so either eat before you arrive, bring supplies, or be prepared to drive >20min for the nearest restaurant.
Breakfast is left in a cabinet by the parking lot for self help. You get a slice of cake, boiled eggs, fruit and bottled juice.
In short, you're paying for location.
GGuest UserThis is a neat and convenient hotel in a quiet neighborhood. 24-hour coffee, cocoa, tea and other drinks are provided, beautiful courtyard, convenient indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and indoor luggage. It included breakfast, but it was concise and delicious. There is also a shopping center right in front of you, so it was easy to buy food or drink. Above all, I would like to thank the friendly staff infinitely.
HHarunobuWe stayed with our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children). The room was clean and spacious, and we had a comfortable stay. It is a little far from Fisherman's Wharf and the Aquarium of the Bay in the center of Monterey, about 15 minutes by car.
KKayra CangozWe stayed one night in this beautiful hotel. The room was very spacious. Actually there is also a little kitchen inside the room. The breakfast variety was enough. There were boiled eggs, waffles, jam. There were lots of parking spaces. The beds are comfortable. Stuff were nice.
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful and in a good location. It is close to the beach, Cannery Row, and the aquarium, and can be reached on foot. The hotel has its own parking lot, which costs $19 per day. The free breakfast is quite rich, with fruits such as oranges, bananas, and strawberries. You can also make your own waffles, which is a good experience and tastes good. The room is relatively large, and there is a fireplace that can be lit and is very warm. You need to prepare your own toothpaste, toothbrush, and slippers.
GGuest UserIt's a bit pricey, but the location is great. It's only about a 15-minute drive to 17 Mile, Fisherman's Wharf, or Carmel-by-the-Sea. The surrounding environment is simple, just a typical resort town, quiet and comfortable all day long. The front desk staff were very welcoming and quick at check-in. There's a Walmart just around the corner, making shopping very convenient. McDonald's Mexican restaurants and Chinese restaurants are also within a 10-minute drive.
EEric N.Great location! I had a conference at the Monterey Conference which is less than a 3 min walk! Only thing was that there was no AC, I’m so used to assuming that hotels always have AC, but it was my bad for not checking ahead of time. I asked for a roll out bed, and they were able to provide that, depending on availability at no extra cost. Had a good stay! Quite historical hotel.
RRUIBreakfast has a buffet waffle, which is not bad, kids love it. It is near Carmel town and the beach. It is worth a visit if you take the No. 1 road. The video is the beach and the photos are the hotel and the town.
HHoweeThe room was quite spacious and came equipped with a coffee maker and a microwave. I was assigned a first-floor room, and an elevator is also available for convenience. Overall, it's a nice hotel. The only minor issue was when I went to make coffee, I found a used coffee pod from the previous guest still left in the machine.
