"This should be the most satisfying hotel I stayed in during this trip. The facilities, environment, location and sea view of the room are all amazing. The hotel's breakfast is not a buffet, you have to order it yourself, which is very good. You can choose how much you want to spend. The breakfast is very delicious and the service is very thoughtful. It was a bit cold in the morning, so we sat on the terrace. The waiter turned on the big warm light for us. With the sea breeze and the sea view, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with our beloved family. I really hope time will stay at this beautiful moment."

Immerse yourself in panoramic ocean views at InterContinental The Clement Monterey on historic Cannery Row, steps from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Perfectly positioned along Highway 1 on the California Coast, the hotel overlooks Monterey Bay and features whale-watching views, a tranquil spa, waterfront dining, and 12 versatile venues for meetings, events, and unforgettable weddings. Blending modern luxury with coastal charm, it’s the ultimate Monterey escape.

"Every employee was exceptional, helpful and friendly. The location is great except for getting in an out with a vehicle. The rooms were very nice, the bed was comfortable and clean. The two issues I had with the room were promptly corrected by maintenance (bad toilet flush and light bulb which was very loud). The restaurant was good, though the server was not exceptional. You feel welcome at every area within the hotel, every employee greets you as you pass. Only bad thing that I can say is that, I am allergic to dogs and could tell from the moment I slept in the room that there had been a dog or pet in the room prior. This lead to some discomfort that I was not prepared for. A bit of warning should be given to those with allergies so that other arrangements could be made."

The soul of the Monterey Peninsula comes to life at Kimpton Mirador, where laidback coastal luxury meets meaningful connection. The hotel sits in harmony with the historic homes, walkable streets and renowned landmarks of Pacific Grove. Spanish Revival-inspired architecture, warm and welcoming interiors, a verdant courtyard, and our breezy on-site restaurant, The Caledonian, capture the spirit of this seaside getaway, making our boutique hotel the perfect home base for your adventures around the vibrant Central California Coast.

"This new hotel's rooms were quite satisfying in every aspect. Our family of four had plenty of space, and the decor was modern. While not a huge hotel, the service and facilities were good. It's about a 10-minute drive from Monterey's wharf and the aquarium. The surrounding area isn't bustling, but it's very charming – perfect for a vacation stroll, whether it's Lover's Point by the sea or the colorful cottages nearby. It's definitely not a lively area, but parking is free. I'd say there are three downsides. First, the shower water pressure isn't great (a common issue in the US). Second, in addition to the $3000-a-night room rate, there's an extra $60+ per night resort fee. Ctrip didn't mention this, and it can be frustrating when you find out later. However, it seems many resort hotels in the US charge this. This particular hotel didn't have many facilities, and since we arrived late at night, we spoke to them and they quickly waived it. But there's no guarantee they'll waive it next time. Third, and I don't blame the hotel for this, I think it's Ctrip's fault. Ctrip stated that breakfast for two was included. When we got to the hotel, it was à la carte. We initially asked the restaurant staff how to order the included breakfast and if there were any restrictions. The staff said there were no restrictions, but actually, there's a $50 per person limit, so be aware of that. For two breakfasts, that's $100, which is usually enough. For breakfast, I found the steak to be just okay. I'd recommend the oatmeal bowl and the English muffins (their specialty). The omelets were also good."

"The interior of the room is the same as the picture. It was a good size and clean. There are similar inns side by side around. And 15 minutes walk away, there's a shopping center. But the sound insulation is not very good, our room is on the second floor, there seems to be noise between floors I'm very careful when I walk Breakfast is really simple, so I don't think you should expect it. Still, I had a good night .^^"

"The sea view room was nice, but it wasn't in the same location as the front desk office; you had to cross the street. The parking lot wasn't large, but the elevator was convenient. The front desk staff only came out after we rang the bell; they seemed to be sleeping. We rang the bell several times before they came out, and their attitude wasn't very good. They deducted money from our bill without explanation, and the deductions were in whole or odd amounts (the same as the room rate), causing a lot of confusion. Only when we asked at checkout did they say it was a pre-authorization and that it would be refunded. It's been over a week since we returned home, and the pre-authorization hasn't been canceled. The room was quite large, clean, and had a distant sea view. On the second day, before checkout time, a staff member knocked on the door several times, which was very annoying."

"I originally wanted to go to the small town of Monterey to participate in the music festival, but I missed it. I booked a hotel at random. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in. The entire room was decorated in a very romantic way and the service was thoughtful. There are many restaurants and small bars in front of the hotel, it is worth staying. But those who booked on Ctrip should pay attention. When placing an order on the website, in addition to paying the room fee, the amount marked to pay xxx yuan at the hotel is wrong. The hotel charges about 100💲 for a single room."

GGuest UserCarmel is a beautiful town and the hotel is in the town centre, so the location is perfect. Room was a little dated, but reasonably clean. On the night we arrived to check in, staff was super friendly and helpful. He gave us detailed instructions regarding our room and parking, also local restaurants recommendations. His service was a 5 star! On the morning of departure, we vacated the room and checked out at 9am. We went for a stroll in the town, and returned after an hour. When we returned at 10am I asked the staff (not the friendly staff helped us check in) if I can use a restroom. Knowing we just checked out, the staff bluntly replied there isn’t public toilet in the hotel, so we’d better use the one in the local park. When we asked if we could go back to our room to use the toilet as it’s still early. His said the cleaners were already in. We then walked to our car which was next to our room, only to find the cleaners hadn’t been at all. Zero hospitality, disappointed.

WWozhoudaiannuoFacilities: There is a fireplace in the room, love is miserable! Hygienic: It looks very clean! Service: The service is very good and the reception is warm. The breakfast is a bit rudimentary. Hotel location is very good, you can walk to the beach. Be sure to go to the beach to watch the sunset in the evening, beautiful. There is a restaurant near the hotel, you can eat if you are hungry.

TtrpcOne of the few hotels in Big Sur that allow you to book a one-night stay on a weekend so this is a huge plus. No reception nor staff on site when you check in - keys are left in a key box outside your assigned room (which you will be informed of a couple days before your arrival). If you need help during your stay, your only option is emailing them. Rooms are dated but clean. No dining options on site so either eat before you arrive, bring supplies, or be prepared to drive >20min for the nearest restaurant. Breakfast is left in a cabinet by the parking lot for self help. You get a slice of cake, boiled eggs, fruit and bottled juice. In short, you're paying for location.

There are no attractions around the hotel and it takes 40 minutes to walk by the sea. As a temporary accommodation, if you are on vacation, you will be free from entertainment and leisure. Hotel Wi-Fi is not good, maybe I live on the far side, there is almost no net in the room. The hotel has coffee, bread, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, but it is simple but can be eaten. The customer service was not particularly clean. When I went in, I found black stains on the sheets. The front desk sent me sheets to let me change, saying that the waiters were off work. In short, I feel like a hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very clean. When I took a shower, I was surprised that the white shower curtain didn't have any stains. I booked an ordinary motel with low expectations, but the sanitary conditions far exceeded expectations. The refrigerator and microwave were fully equipped, and the bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast is packaged and taken away by yourself. Each bag contains milk, fruit, cheese, etc. You can take cereal and coffee as you like. In short, it is quite good to stay for one night while passing by. There is a gas station below the hotel, and there doesn't seem to be much noise. Maybe some truck drivers will stay here, but it's quite friendly.

YYUEThe biggest advantage is that the room is big and the bed is very comfortable, but the room facilities are like an old house in the 80s. Breakfast is only a simple breakfast such as coffee and yoghurt. Even the eggs are not likely to be expensive. Carmel is worth more than two hundred dollars.
