Best Western Salinas Monterey Hotel ★★★
"The location is good, the parking lot is right in front. McDonald's is right opposite, so it's convenient to find food."
Kimpton MIRADOR PACIFIC GROVE MONTEREY by IHG ★★★★
"The hotel had an extremely strong formaldehyde smell. The room was quite large, but there was absolutely no service. Check-in took half an hour. The pre-sale permit was used up, and then it was used up again in the middle of the night without any notification. I don't understand why they would use it again in the middle of the night after only one day, when the 286 yuan charge had already been applied for at check-in! I asked for a kettle downstairs three times, but it never came. The front desk never answers the phone, and the staff were extremely rude! Every single one of them was terrible!"
Inn at King City ★★
"It's much worse than in China, so I can only make do with it. However, I slept very well one night here, probably because I was too tired from traveling. This can be regarded as a travel experience, a motel!"
Best Western Park Crest Inn ★★★
"Very close to downtown Monterey and close to various attractions. It's just that the refrigerator in the room is too noisy at night, but everything else is fine."
Best Western Marina State Beach ★★★
"You get what you pay for."
Best Western Plus Monterey Inn ★★★
"The bathroom had a strange, unpleasant smell from the renovations. However, the hotel's location was excellent, about a 15-minute walk to Monterey Marina. The town itself is small but bustling. The hotel provided a hot breakfast, and the staff were friendly."
Monterey Beach Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel ★★★★
"Unbeatable sea view, directly facing the beach 🏖️, and super good breakfast."
Red Lion Hotel Monterey ★★★
"The room was quite spacious and came equipped with a coffee maker and a microwave. I was assigned a first-floor room, and an elevator is also available for convenience. Overall, it's a nice hotel. The only minor issue was when I went to make coffee, I found a used coffee pod from the previous guest still left in the machine."
The Monterey Fireplace Inn ★★
"Great location. I was able to check in 2 hours early ☺️ Very friendly! Good value for money."

Monterey Bay Lodge
"The environment is good, with a swimming pool and gardens, but the service is very poor and even more unfriendly to Chinese people. We booked the room three weeks in advance and paid the room fee. When we checked in, we found that they had assigned the noisiest and worst room (No. 116) to us in advance. When we asked to change rooms, we were told that they could not change rooms when they were fully booked. In fact, it showed online that they still had no room. There are rooms of the same type hanging... It is not recommended to choose"
The Quail Lodge
"There were hidden costs. They said it was an amenity fee, which was a bit unpleasant. The bathroom was a bit old and it was quite far from the center of Carmel. This is a good place to stay for someone who is planning a golf trip."
Lighthouse Lodge & Cottages
"Hotel room is in need of touch-up, looks and feel dilapidated. Location is nice, the takeaway ready breakfast pouches is good car trips and the gas fireplace is nice. Location is very close to the kissing rock."
Rosedale Inn
"We had a lovely stay at the Rosedale. We loved the jacuzzi bath and the fire in the room. They both made for a cozy stay. It was quiet and comfortable and the receptionists were both really friendly and helpful. We would happily stay again."
InterContinental Hotels THE CLEMENT MONTEREY by IHG
"my room had a “wall view” right in front of the window… it was a bit embarrassing that as the wall was so close to the window"
Alila Ventana Big Sur - Inclusive Resort
"Beautiful resort and seamless check in. Staff is overall wonderful and kind. The average rating I gave is due to the restaurant server. He seemed new and was given our table against his will. When asked if we could have a wine menu, he said, “yes, if we have one available” which is odd for a resort of this stature- to not have a wine menu memorized or at least a few recommendations at hand. When asked for a blanked which the host had offered and others had received, we received the same answer. This is a very expensive resort. Figure it out. Saying such an odd thing, twice, was off putting. The 2 servers helping other tables were friendly and amazing. Ours made us not want to return to this space again."
Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa
"This is a relatively good hotel in this trip to the United States. It is close to the beach and the surrounding scenery is quite pleasing to the eye. But the balcony is a bit too small and the room is relatively old."
Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa
"The golf course is beautiful"
Best Western de Anza Inn
"Very good hotel. Located near the airport, warm and clean, the facilities are relatively new. The front desk lady is warm and polite, the room is spacious, and the children like it. The breakfast is standard American style, in addition to coffee and bread, there are waffles. The overall cost-effectiveness is high, recommended."
Hilton Garden Inn Monterey
"American-style rooms, and a great location. It's very convenient for driving to Carmel-by-the-Sea or for grabbing food and coffee."
Holiday Inn Express AT MONTEREY BAY by IHG
"Everything was fine; it was a decent hotel for a stopover. At breakfast, we saw homeless people from the neighborhood coming in for bread and coffee. They seemed angry."
Motel 6 Soledad, CA
"It's far away from Highway 1, but the hotel is pretty clean. It's close to the highway. There are McDonald's, Starbucks and gas stations nearby. It's convenient to travel and relatively safe. Overall, it's okay. It's mainly convenient."
Carmel Mission Inn
"Good stay, nice hotel to"
Mariposa Inn and Suites
"Monterey is really beautiful! The transportation near the hotel is very convenient. I didn't expect that some of the waiters didn't speak English. The breakfast in the hotel is average and I'm not used to it. It would be nice if there was an option with or without breakfast."
Hyatt Vacation Club at Highlands Inn
"The hotel boasts a superb location, capturing the essence of the Cameron region. Nearby attractions and shopping are easily accessible by car. The accommodations are much more spacious than those in the town. Rooms feature fireplaces and an abundance of firewood, creating a particularly warm and festive winter atmosphere. Each night, a band provides music and dance music for guests. The rooms have kitchens, making it easy for families with different tastes to cook their own meals. Nearby supermarkets offer a wide variety of goods."
Stargazer Inn and Suites
"Very nice motel. Excellent welcome. Our room was spacious and clean. It's very close to the beach."
