SH2502✨ A hidden gem in Taizhou: Fuchen Yin 府城隐
What makes this hotel truly special is its incredible story — a beautiful transformation from an old 财神庙 (temple of the God of Wealth, so yes… extra good fortune vibes 😉) and a historic printing factory into a serene luxury retreat.
Tucked away in a quiet residential alley and accessible by buggy, the hotel feels like a secret escape from the busy world. The moment you step inside, you feel a sense of calm. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with generous spaces to unwind, relax, and simply enjoy the moment.
My favourite corners? The library, where I spent time getting lost among the books, and the piano area, where I happily played a few tunes. These little details made the stay feel more like a home away from home rather than just a hotel.
The breakfast was an absolute highlight — a celebration of Taizhou’s local flavours. I loved discovering so many regional specialties: 🍵 青草糊 — a refreshing grass jelly dessert with a wonderful touch of peppermint that made it even more refreshing
🍜 姜汤面 and 芋头面 — comforting local noodle dishes
🍰 三色糕
🍚 乌饭麻糍 (with red bean filling)
🥟 扁食
…and so many more delicious local treats that I wish I had a bigger stomach!
They even helped me buy the famous 海苔饼 — the whole reason I came to Taizhou — and it arrived piping hot. Truly the kind of thoughtful service that makes a trip memorable.
The hotel facilities are exceptional. From the beautifully designed spaces to the thoughtful amenities, everything has been carefully considered. The bed deserves a special mention — probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. They also provide turndown service, luxurious toiletries, and a complimentary minibar (which, by the way, included local rice wine 🍶 — just saying 😉).
A huge thank you to every member of the Fuchen Yin team for making my stay so warm and memorable. The combination of history, design, local culture, incredible food, and heartfelt hospitality makes this one of the most unique stays I’ve experienced.
Definitely a place I would love to return to. 🤍

Nora F.This hotel deserves to have a perfect 10 out of 10 rating, and I don't understand why it doesn't have that because it is perfect. The pictures do not do it justice because it is luxurious and it gives luxurious treatment. It is beautiful, very clean, and has everything you need for your stay. The food is so delicious that if the chefs adopted me I would let them, just so I could eat their food everyday. The entire staff including the owner which we were lucky enough to meet is so warm and kind. I'm not sure how much the owner is there but he was there the entire time we were there and would attend us himself when he could. We had our own butlers who were fluent in English and were so communicative with us and anything we needed they would quickly attend to it. The owner also speaks some English himself. I wish I was as fluent in Chinese as they all are in English. The location is also perfect because it is near all the scenic areas and the towns because it's just a very short Didi ride away. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious. I could go on and on about how wonderful this hotel is, but if you get a chance you must experience it for yourself. This is one of the absolute best hotels I have stayed at and I am so glad I got to stay here for our first China visit.

The hotel is right by the old Zhexi Street in Tiantai. After arriving at Tiantai Mountain Station by high-speed rail, the hotel thoughtfully provides a free shuttle service. The moment I arrived in Tiantai, I had a great feeling. The distant mountains stretched endlessly, and the water was a vibrant green. The old street seems to be a retro district built along the banks of the original stream, but with its pavilions, waterside structures, ocher stones, and the winding, cascading stream, the giant stepping stones spanning both banks, and the ocher-colored rock slopes peeking out of the water, it's a very well-designed area. Xi Ye (the hotel) is located right on the bank in the core area. Just a few steps to the right is Rong Xiaoguan, to the left is Starbucks, and diagonally opposite is BaWangChaJi. As soon as you enter the hotel, the whole world seems to quiet down. A huge floor-to-ceiling window overlooks a lush green view. There's a pond with koi fish swimming, and two or three clusters of azaleas blooming. The design of this hotel immediately captivated me. Entering the room, it was a spacious 50-60 square meters, with welcome snacks, a minibar, afternoon tea, turndown service with a late-night snack, Le Labo 33 toiletries, custom boat-shaped slippers, a black hotel-branded canvas bag, and even a small wooden prayer bead bracelet. All these details spoke volumes about the hotel's thoughtfulness. I will definitely come back. I love Xi Ye, and I loved the two local eateries I tried; it felt like every chef there was a hidden master, with every dish full of deliciousness and surprises. I came to stay at Xi Ye for Guoqing Temple, and for Xi Ye, I'd be willing to come to Tiantai again next time.

The room layout at this hotel was a bit… questionable. The dirty windows really detracted from the view, and the gaps around the door meant soundproofing was pretty poor. The breakfast was just okay, probably due to the large crowds during the Spring Festival. However, a pleasant surprise was that the hotel staff cleaned the car windshields for guests – I've never encountered that before, and it was a really thoughtful touch.

Well, in recent years, I've rarely encountered hotels that require a 100 RMB deposit. It's as if all the goodwill I've built up is meaningless; it's hard to leave a positive review. When I pay the deposit in cash, the staff is very considerate, explaining that if I pay in cash, I have to wait for the room attendant to check the room before I can get the deposit back on the spot and leave. I can understand that, but I'm surprised that only Guifu in the area still operates this way. I'm not nitpicking; I genuinely just want to understand.

CowboyJThis was my 2nd time at Atour. It is a new boutique style chic hotel. Very modern, comfortable. They offer many amenities that are usually given at higher price points, such as free coffee cups, free additional room water, self pulling curtains etc. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, AC was cold. They also have a small gym and laundry room. My friend and I even decided to try the breakfast, which included standard items such as toast, eggs, noodles, yogurt, etc I was pleasantly surprised at the front desk when I heard it was included at no charge! I was very happy with my stay and will definitely choose Atour in the future!

The moment I stepped into the lobby, I noticed how fresh the air was – no stuffy smell at all, which was a huge plus. The front desk staff, Xiao Zhi, saw me with my luggage and immediately offered to help, even giving me tips on travel routes. Their service was truly thoughtful. Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise; the food was genuinely good and authentic, not just a perfunctory buffet. Plus, they offer a free shuttle service to and from the station, which saved me a lot of hassle and is incredibly helpful for anyone traveling with luggage. Overall, I have no complaints about my stay, and I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in the area.

Guest UserI booked Yunman when planning the trip from Thailand to China.
There are so many hotel choices on Trip. I'd like to share why Yunman becomes my final choice.
1. The pictures shown on comments.
- From those pictures, I can learned so many things, like cleaness, small designing ideas. They told me many about how serious the hotel owner take this business.
- Because I can feel the owner's attitude via those pictures. I can sure the other parts will be no problem also.
2. The descriptions other guests said about the staff
- For me, although I don't have many requests to the staff, just hope they can help me checkin well. But the staff in Yunman Hotel, they did great job. Checking-in well is one thing, they introduced me a lot for Taizhou local traditional foods and where I can go for looking. That really satisfied me well.
3. No so chain hotel
- Actually I don't like those chain hotel. They makes me feel cold. I don't know how to express this cold feeling.
Anyway, all in all, Yunman Hotel is an ideal choice for me.

The cleaning lady kept the room very clean and provided excellent service. There were also fruits and massagers in the evening. The sleep was very quiet. As soon as I entered the room, I felt very comfortable and felt like I was at home.

Guest UserThis is our first time staying in a B&B, we have always stayed in hotels before. It was already evening when we checked in that day, and the B&B did not allow cars to enter the scenic area. The housekeeper drove a shuttle bus to pick us up from the parking lot and took us to the B&B. Under the leadership of the housekeeper Xiaoyan, we arrived at the B&B. The colorful lights at night were beautiful, and the dinner arrangement at the B&B was very suitable. The weather was very good the next morning, and the sunshine was very warm! It's a pity that the vacation is over, otherwise I could have stayed a few more nights. To sum up, this B&B has a very good location, the surrounding scenery is beautiful, and the butler Xiaoyan’s service is very attentive. I give him a thumbs up and will come back next time!
