"Here's the takeaway: excellent facilities, but just okay service – a bit of a shame overall. The hotel's public areas, rooms, and pool are very stylish and make for great photos. They've paid attention to the details too: bath salts, disposable bath liners, foot bath basins, multi-purpose charging cables, and wireless charging are all provided, making for a very convenient stay. However, breakfast was a real disappointment. The only highlight was the fresh-squeezed juice; everything else was mediocre. We came to Taizhou specifically for the local glutinous delicacies, and yet, despite egg mochi and other items being clearly advertised on a billboard above the restaurant, none were available when we asked. If they can't provide them, why advertise them and get people's hopes up? Service-wise, the cleaning staff and the pool receptionists were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the front desk staff had a poker face throughout, which was a stark contrast to the warm environment and lowered our first impression. In summary: It's great for photos and relaxation, but don't come here expecting a fantastic breakfast or warm service. I'd suggest the hotel focus more on improving breakfast and staff training at the front desk; otherwise, even the best facilities won't be enough to build a good reputation."

"The rooms are showing their age; it's a ten-year-old hotel that just de-branded from Marriott. The hardware is outdated, and the service needs a serious upgrade. The front desk staff were chatting and on their phones, completely embodying the current laid-back (perhaps too relaxed) atmosphere. 😂😂😂"

"I booked a three-night package deal through Ctrip, and the hotel room was quite spacious and very comfortable. The hygiene and environment were excellent. I'm a bit of a clean freak, so I always wipe down the nightstand and desk with sanitizing wipes when I check into any hotel, and there wasn't a speck of dust here. Also, I drink a lot of water, and the staff were very thoughtful, bringing me several extra bottles. I also dined at the hotel restaurant during my stay; the service was attentive, the food was delicious, and they even gave me a discount. All in all, I was extremely satisfied."

"Facilities: There's a laundry room and a gym with basic equipment. Cleanliness: Very clean, including the bathtub, but they forgot to put a floor towel in the room. Ambiance: I really liked the hotel's design and style; it's quite nice. Service: There was basically no service. When checking in, there was no staff to guide me, so I couldn't find my room initially. The breakfast was bad, not tasty, and all show no substance. The hotel parking is insufficient, sharing a lot with the adjacent restaurant, and there's no staff managing it. Finally, a male manager from guest services had a great attitude and offered a sincere solution. They also gave a souvenir upon checkout."

"Staying at the Grand International VIP Building was a fantastic experience. I initially thought the hotel might be old and dated since it's been around for a while, but the new Chinese-style decor was elegant and grand. The room was spacious and airy, with a large balcony. The bathroom was fully equipped, and they even provided traditional Chinese medicine bath sachets for a relaxing soak after hiking and exploring the old town. The afternoon tea offered coffee, fresh juices, and a variety of small pastries, which the kids absolutely loved. Check-in at the VIP Building was handled separately, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. The location was convenient for getting around, with Ziyang Street and the Jiangnan Great Wall just a short drive away. The butler service was excellent; following the little host for a tour of the prefecture city was interesting and not tiring. The kids said they want to stay here again next time."

"On a whim, my friend and I decided to head to Taizhou for seafood after failing to get train tickets from Shaoxing to Shanghai. We chose to stay at this hotel, which is an older five-star property. From the room's decor and facilities, it's clear they put a lot of thought into the details back then, with many standardized and pre-fabricated elements, which is quite impressive. The breakfast was also excellent, offering many unique dishes freshly prepared in an open kitchen. Compared to other hotels that often serve pre-cooked items, this was particularly commendable. There were even chefs circulating, directly assisting guests and catering to their requests, which was wonderful. We also had lunch at the hotel. The head waiter was very attentive, professionally introducing the dishes to us, and the food itself was superb."

"The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and even upgraded my room. They also switched out my pillow for a memory foam one, just as I prefer. During my stay, they were always ready to assist with any requests and offered great recommendations for local attractions and dining. The complimentary late-night noodle bar was a highlight: the mini wontons and noodles were especially delicious."

"On a business trip to Huangyan, I stayed at the Yaoda Hotel and even got upgraded to an executive suite. It was excellent! I personally think the hotel restaurant here is even better than the Yaoda in Wenling 😋. Although the hotel is a bit older, it still maintains Yaoda's consistent high standards. I've stayed at the Yaoda in Taizhou and Wenling before, and they were both great too!"

"An absolutely amazing stay, probably the best service I've ever experienced at a Ramada! Every single staff member, from the security guard directing traffic at the parking entrance, to the housekeeping auntie, the lovely concierge in the lobby, and the handsome front desk agent, provided incredibly warm and attentive service. It was truly heartwarming. The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the botanical garden, offering a peaceful environment. There's also an indoor parking garage on the first floor, which is super handy. Our room was very spacious with a fantastic view. The breakfast was bountiful, featuring almost all the local specialties. This will definitely be my top choice next time I visit Taizhou!"

The Song-style garden environment is quiet and therapeutic. Breakfast is rich, featuring authentic Taizhou snacks. The heated pool and the gentle, attentive butler service are top-notch. It's a must to come by car, and the lake-view rooms offer an incredible panorama. It’s definitely the top choice for a vacation for those visiting from out of town, and an excellent option for escaping a typhoon!"
