The architecture subtly blends into the peak forests and rice paddies, avoiding over-commercialization. Even the basic room types start from 80sqm, featuring panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony. You can enjoy views of the mountains, rivers, and clouds right from your bed, and the hammock on the balcony creates a perfect atmosphere for watching the sunset. The riverside infinity pool is a must-try – the photo opportunities with the mountains and water in the background are stunning! Also, don't miss the private bamboo raft afternoon tea. It's a great way to avoid the crowds, float along the Mingshi River, enjoy tea, and admire the peak forests, adding a touch of ceremony to your trip. The dining offers authentic Zhuang-style cuisine, and you can enjoy drinks under the stars while watching the sunset. Our butler, Pelina, was attentive and professional, providing excellent service without being intrusive. The hotel is also not far from Detian Waterfall. This is perfect for those looking for a slow-paced vacation. I recommend staying at least 2 nights to truly unwind.

I had such high hopes for the island, dreaming of crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral. But a typhoon decided to linger, and more started gathering, so my trip took a detour – off to Chongzuo. By chance, we stumbled upon Changliu Mountain Retreat. In that moment, surrounded by the mountain breeze, tranquil serenity, distant misty mountains, and lush greenery, I fell in love. It was worth it, and I understood then – the greatest meaning of travel is never about a perfectly executed plan, but rather the unexpected surprises. Every seemingly bad turn of events is just a prelude. Like the wind meeting a mountain, everything was perfectly arranged.

We had a lovely stay at Mingshi Yaju Hotel. The hotel staff were kind and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was tasty and there was enough variety to choose from. The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The amenities inside were great too. We made use of the gym and the pool. During our second day, the hotel let us use their bicycles to explore around Mingshi. Overall the experience was relaxed and enjoyable. Unfortunately there was a little bit of construction happening nearby, but it didn’t generate too much noise and in the evening everything was quiet and peaceful. For dinner was chose not to eat at the hotel, but rather to explore the restaurants around just outside of the park area. I had a great time and would recommend to friends.

I booked a mountain view room, but they upgraded me to a 'Guyu' (Grain Rain) room, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. The butler was very responsive, almost replying instantly. Since there's no delivery service nearby, the hotel's food options were a bit limited. I had a toothache and couldn't eat regular dishes, so I found a hidden menu item at the community canteen: plain noodles. **Bicycle Sightseeing Experience:** For bicycles, you need to book early. When I went to borrow one around 5 PM, they were all gone, so I had to wait for others to return them. **Exquisite Travel Photography:** I only managed to book the midday slot, which was too hot. I decided not to change outfits or do makeup. I just asked the photographer to take a few casual family shots, and the results were surprisingly satisfying.

The room facilities were relatively new and the room was spacious, which was good. However, the following issues significantly impacted the experience: 1. The bathroom drain smelled terrible. I stayed in a room on the second floor, and the entire bathroom reeked of the drain. I had to keep the toilet lid closed and the bathroom door shut to avoid affecting the bedroom. The stench was unbearable as soon as you entered the bathroom. The shower drain was also clogged, and the water temperature control faucet malfunctioned. I couldn't adjust the water temperature to cold and almost got scalded while showering. The water wouldn't drain properly, and it flooded into the bedroom. I had to call housekeeping and the maintenance staff to finally fix it. 2. Security: The balcony door couldn't be locked. 3. Service: The housekeeping staff were quite polite, but the concierge's initiative needs improvement. When we parked our car at the door, the bellhop with lots of bags stood there without reacting. Only when I went inside to get the luggage cart did he slowly follow me to get it. After I finished loading my luggage and went to check in, the bellhop abandoned the cart and disappeared. In the end, the front desk staff helped me push the luggage cart to my room after checking me in, seeing that I had a child with me. The chubby, bespectacled guy at the front desk deserves praise.

Although they both belong to Guangxi, there are still great differences between the north and the south of Guangxi. Taking advantage of the peak shift, from Guilin in the north of Guangxi to Chongzuo in the south, Guilin already needs jackets in November, but Chongzuo still solves the problem with short sleeves. This time I stayed at Huashan Shengmei Resort, which was recommended by a friend. It greatly exceeded my expectations. The Hui-style architecture is rare in Guangxi. The service was also very good. Before I checked in, the housekeeper even organized a group to deal with all my inquiries. The surrounding environment is also very good. , it’s very convenient to go to Huashan, and overall it’s great.
