"Just checked out of Zuojiang Hermit Hotel and I’m impressed. The name “Hermit/薄云” fits perfectly - the hotel sits tucked in the hills with the Zuo River right out front. My river-view room had floor-to-ceiling windows. Sunset + morning mist over the river = postcard view. Service was warm and proactive. Front desk is very helpful. Breakfast is good, lots of varieties. If you want quiet, nature, and real Guangxi vibes instead of a generic chain hotel, this is it. Will stay again next trip to Chongzuo."

Chongzuo Yihaoyuan Inn ★★

"It's such a beautiful ancient town, but going through a major refurbishing. Won't finish maybe till mid December. Best to come from January. The whole town was dead but they did try to entertain us with shows. Also, the Leaning tower was close too and River Stone is very isolated. Not easy to get a taxi back to town (not recommended for travelle don't have cars)"

"I had a wonderful stay! The hotel's overall environment is clean and elegant. My room was spotless and just the right size. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, so I slept soundly at night. All the hotel facilities are well-equipped, and the free parking was a huge convenience. The staff were all very kind and enthusiastic, always ready to help with any requests. It's also not far from the tourist attractions, which made getting around easy. Great value for money, definitely recommend it!"

"Our group of eight, consisting of two families, stayed in three rooms during the Spring Festival. Before booking, the description mentioned a location in the Sunac commercial district, which seemed lively and convenient for dining and shopping. However, upon arrival, we were shocked to find the hotel in the middle of nowhere. The entire Sunac commercial district was closed for the holiday, and there were hardly any places to have New Year's Eve dinner nearby. It was also inconvenient to reach Taipingfu and other attractions in Chongzuo. The hotel's location was so-so, but the worst part was the smell of sewage in the bathroom. The entire room reeked of sewage, and the smell wouldn't dissipate. Even the bath towels smelled bad. It was completely disproportionate to the price. This hotel was more expensive than the Longguanglian Hotel we stayed at in Nanning the previous night, but the difference in every aspect was significant."

"The hotel consists of detached or semi-detached three-story villas, each with a balcony perfect for drying clothes. There's an outdoor swimming pool (closed in winter). The amenities provided are of good quality. Breakfast is served in a large conference hall, offering a wide variety of options and plenty of seating. The hotel's location is also excellent, right next to the Zhuang Museum and a 'Stone Forest' where we explored many caves, which the kids absolutely loved."
