5-Star Hotels in Weihai

Staying at the Polaris Hotel was a fantastic experience. From the moment we checked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly assisted by Feifei, the Assistant Lobby Manager. Throughout our three-day stay, Haixia from housekeeping took meticulous care of us every day. When we left, a kind young man from the lobby helped us with our luggage all the way to the car. These gestures truly touched us! We made many wonderful memories during our three days exploring Weihai, and Polaris was the most memorable part. A huge thank you for all your hard work!

The service was excellent and the facilities were well-designed. Our sea-facing room offered direct ocean views. Parking was convenient, with both surface and underground options available. Although it's not a chain hotel, the management operates at that level, and some of the small details were quite innovative. We had dinner on the first floor of the hotel, and the food was delicious. The mackerel dumplings were the best I've had since entering Shandong; they had no fishy taste and even a subtle, indescribable aroma (milky, perhaps?). The Geda soup was generously portioned with an abundance of shrimp, and the addition of some unknown vegetable made it even more flavorful. I'd had a good Geda soup in Qingdao before (with more 'geda' or dough lumps, making it a main meal), but this one was even better. As other reviews mentioned, the breakfast spread was extensive, making me want to try everything, but my stomach wasn't big enough. The only downside was that the room was a bit cold and the heating couldn't be turned up enough. However, after arriving in Shandong, even the most consistently good Atour hotel in Qingdao also had cold rooms without proper heating, so this isn't a deal-breaker. I rarely stay at non-chain hotels because I'm unsure of the quality, but this one was truly excellent and offered great value for money overall.

My trip to Weihai was very satisfying, not because of the scenery but because of the people. Shandong locals are so warm and hospitable! The hotel lobby is very grand. I went to the gym; it wasn't crowded and had all the equipment you'd need. There's also a self-service laundry room, but I didn't use it as I was only there for a short time. The cleanliness, towels, hairdryer, and mattress facilities were all excellent. They even provide complimentary fruit. However, the glass in the hallways needs to be cleaned – it really brings down the hotel's aesthetic. The dinner buffet at 99 per person is a great option if you don't feel like going out in the heat. For breakfast, I ate there for three days and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quantity of options. Parking is convenient, with both above-ground and underground spaces available. It's easy to get around from here.

This hotel's price is let down by its service. The hardware is impeccable; having been renovated in 2024, everything is well-maintained and meets five-star standards. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast is quite varied, but the selection is the same every day. By 9 AM, many dishes are empty, and they can't keep up with cutlery – the chopstick dispenser is often empty, and there are sometimes no cups at the beverage station. The most unacceptable thing is that for the first guests arriving at 6:30 AM, the tables were sticky, clearly not wiped clean from the previous day. The front desk staff's service quality is only comparable to a chain hotel. All the hotel staff are robotic and unprofessional, lacking enthusiasm and proper training. This hotel's room rate is truly hampered by its service quality!

Choosing this hotel was such a great decision! We booked a sea-view room, and the hotel even upgraded us to an even better one with an absolutely unbeatable view. What's more, the staff were incredibly thoughtful and warm. Today, as we were leaving, there was a small hiccup – I left something in the parking lot. Zhang Haonan and Li Wei from the concierge team immediately went out in the scorching sun to help me search for it, and then arranged for it to be couriered home. I was so touched by their actions. They truly represent the quality of the people of Weihai and all the hotel staff. Shandong people are indeed hospitable! I'm already planning another trip to Weihai just to stay at Chengtou Hotel again.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! Facilities: Very new and well-appointed. Cleanliness: Extremely clean. Service: Very satisfied, professional. This was the best service we experienced in Weihai, and they even offered complimentary fruit. Environment: I have to mention this. We brought our child for a summer vacation and were a bit disappointed with Xianghai initially; the public beach was crowded and chaotic. We spontaneously took a taxi here because this hotel has a private beach nearby, which finally gave us that true vacation feeling. Here's what we loved: 1. The beach is less crowded early in the morning, perfect for taking photos of an empty beach. 2. You can buy sausages at the supermarket to feed the seagulls. 3. Lao Xi Seafood Restaurant was exceptionally delicious – the best we had in Weihai, we ate there twice!

This was a holiday trip, and both the hotel's front desk staff and the cleaning aunties were incredibly friendly and helpful! Even though the hotel is a bit older, the room had no strange smells. My only minor quibble is that it's not as high-tech as some newer places, but overall it was great, and the location is excellent. They even have a gym, which was super convenient when it rained and I couldn't go out for a walk. Oh, and the hotel's buffet dinner was absolutely delicious and well worth it! And very clean too!!

The GSM (Guest Service Manager) was excellent! Initially, we were given the wrong room (we booked a sea-view room but got a garden view). However, they actively communicated and negotiated with us, eventually upgrading us to a better room type, along with welcome fruits and homemade yogurt. The upgraded suite was great – spacious, well-equipped, and with a fantastic sea view 👍🏻

The hotel's location is excellent, right within the Xianghai scenic area, just a ten-minute walk to the beach. We booked a family room, which had a great atmosphere and the room facilities were top-notch. The hotel is very family-friendly; the 5th floor seems to be entirely dedicated to family-themed rooms, and there's a kids' play area on the 1st floor. The breakfast spread was quite extensive, and I was particularly impressed by the freshly made Jianbing Guozi (Chinese savory crepes). Overall, it was a very good stay.

Seriously, five stars, highly recommended! This was my first time staying at the Nishi Haitai Hotel, and the experience truly exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities and a well-thought-out layout. The sea was right outside the window; opening the balcony door allowed me to enjoy the ocean view, creating a fantastic ambiance. The resort grounds were quiet and well-equipped, and the staff were warm and attentive. Staying in a beachfront RV, feeling the sea breeze, and watching the tide ebb and flow was a unique experience for a vacation in Rongcheng. I highly recommend it!
