Amazing
DDruchiiHaving enjoyed a previous stay in February, I chose to return this July. I requested an east-facing room and was delighted that my wish was granted. The sunrise view towards the Skytree and the National Diet Building around 4:30 AM in summer is absolutely breathtaking, easily rivaling any dedicated observation deck experience. The Japanese set breakfast was both substantial and delicious, and the serene view of pine trees reflected in the restaurant's pond was incredibly soothing. Furthermore, perhaps owing to its prime location near the National Diet Building and the Prime Minister's Official Residence, the hotel offers incredibly convenient direct underground access to public transportation, yet the street-level environment remains remarkably quiet and tranquil. The staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly, and the presence of Chinese-speaking personnel ensures that Chinese guests will face virtually no language barriers. On a delightful side note, the ambient fragrance used in The Capitol Hotel Tokyu's corridors is utterly captivating – I highly recommend making it available for purchase at the hotel's souvenir shop! I will absolutely be rebooking here for my next trip to Tokyo.
LLazgolfWe booked Park Hyatt very last minute due to issue with our original hotel that we booked in Tokyo. We travelled with a 3 & 4 years old and the hotel was amazing. The playground across the hotel is a big plus. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome and the process was very seamlessly. We left the first hotel fairly early and knew we couldn't get into the room but our plan was to go through Shinjuku and knew we wouldn't be back until later that day. The hotel lobby is on the 41st floor, you can see the entire city view and at night the sight is amazing.
The hotel location is about a 15min walk to Shinjuku station which is not bad and there is a shuttle that runs every 30min as well. Concierge was very helpful with everything during our stay.
Breakfast service was professional and efficient. The staff were very friendly with kids and not snobbish at all. The hotel is an iconic place, most of the time we took a taxi or delivery they know the hotel by name.
I highly recommend anyone that would like to pamper themselves in Tokyo. The hotel is a bit dated by the upkeep of the hotel is very good. Only thing that was a bit annoying was the light switches since it's not modern you can't control some lights individually.

Amazing
__cs58780019****I booked the executive floor, and the sea view from the window was absolutely stunning. The hotel is located in a great area around the port, with a convenient Yurikamome line station right outside, and an airport bus as well. The room was spacious, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options. For a hotel in Japan, this offers incredible value for money.
__M1522179****As an older hotel in Tokyo, while the decor is a bit dated and shows its age, it's impeccably clean. The location is absolutely excellent, with convenient transportation and stunning views. Great value for money.
GGuest UserLocation was fantastic in terms of proximity to supermarkets and restaurants. Close to bus stops (3mins) and Toyocho subway station (12mins), but they have complimentary bus services to Toyocho in the mornings as well. We got a room directly facing Tokyo Skytree and the view was amazing. This hotel serves a lot of Japanese people so service level is top notch. Having said that, staff are multilingual with many able to speak basic English. Buffett breakfast was excellent. Daily housekeeping and cleanliness is kept high. I didn't use any of it's facilities so not in a position to comment on this. The hotel wasn't that expensive given the experience we had and will definitely book this hotel again next time we are in Tokyo.
AAnonymous UserFacilities: I really enjoyed the European-style decor; the hotel is exceptionally well-managed and maintained. The ground floor cafe is a lovely spot for afternoon tea.
Cleanliness: Housekeeping is thorough – just remember to put out the 'Please make up room' sign before you head out each day.
Ambiance: The 32sqm room was spacious and comfortable, never felt crowded.
Service: Upon arrival, the front desk staff immediately offered a wet wipe, which was a very thoughtful touch. They were always smiling and polite, and even delivered my luggage to the room.
Breakfast: The breakfast on the 2nd floor was mediocre, but the buffet in the basement (B1) with both Western and Japanese options was quite satisfactory.
Transportation: The hotel has a direct underground connection to Shimbashi Subway Station, which is incredibly handy when you're lugging suitcases. Shimbashi is a major transportation hub, offering extremely convenient access to the Yurikamome Line, Shinkansen, and various subway lines, making it perfect for shopping in Ginza and beyond.
Location: Additionally, there are numerous convenience stores, pharmacies, food streets, and a lively bar street nearby, making it super convenient for late-night snacks and shopping. Plus, Ginza, including Mitsukoshi Department Store, is only about a 10-minute walk away.

Great
GGuest UserKeio Plaza Hotel Tokyo is situated in an excellent location and is very convenient for getting around. The staff are highly professional and extremely helpful. I was struggling with my shopping bags, and when a staff member noticed me, he quickly came over to assist without being asked.
I would also like to commend another staff member at the information counter, though I unfortunately did not catch his name. When I asked for directions to a train station to visit the Making of Harry Potter, he kindly offered to walk me all the way to the station. As it was my first time staying at this hotel, I was truly grateful for his assistance.
The room I booked included access to the Sky Lounge, which had an awesome view and was an excellent place to relax. Entry was complimentary for hotel guests, while non-guests have to pay. Drinks and Starbucks coffee were also available for free, which was a nice bonus.
I am very much looking forward to staying at this hotel again.

Great
GGuest UserGood service, but maintenance and consistency could be improved.
I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. While the overall service and location are good, a few details made the experience fall short of true 5-star standards.
Pros:
• The washroom is spacious and clean, with strong shower pressure that feels great after a long day out.
• The anti-slip mat is a thoughtful touch since the bathtub can get slippery.
• Toiletries and body lotion are of decent quality.
• The in-room iron is convenient, no need to request one.
• The room includes a small balcony and is non-smoking friendly.
• The complimentary slippers are comfortable and well-made.
• Staff are polite and helpful throughout my stay.
Cons:
• The bathroom mirror fogs up completely after showering — it would be great if anti-fog mirrors were installed.
• My room key card was disabled after the first night, requiring a trip to the front desk for reactivation.
• The cupboard doors are old and difficult to open, making noticeable noise.
• Breakfast is decent but repetitive. During peak times, guests were directed to a temporary seating area where food wasn’t replenished promptly.
• After housekeeping, my used towels were removed but not replaced.
• The carpet feels dusty, suggesting it could use a deep clean or refresh.
Overall:
The staff are courteous and professional, and the basic comfort level is good. However, for a 5-star hotel, the property feels a little dated and service consistency needs improvement. With some attention to maintenance and small operational details, this could easily become a much better experience.
SShokiYuiThe hotel offers a nice night view, and you can see the Tokyo Skytree right from your room. However, the hotel might be a bit old as there aren't many power outlets, which is a downside.
**Location:** It's right by Asakusa Station, about a 10-minute walk to Ginza Station, and there are 7-Eleven and Lawson convenience stores nearby. Asakusa Temple is also just a 5-minute walk away. Overall, the location is great, and there are several high-end restaurants on the hotel's upper floors.

CCleav3rI've always been a loyal fan of Ascott, but the Ascott Tokyo really left me speechless. Upon check-in, we were informed that the entire building would have a power outage on our last day, meaning all guests had to vacate their rooms before noon. What's more, luggage storage wasn't allowed, so we had to drag our five suitcases ourselves to the JR Tokyo Station, about a 10-minute walk away, and pay 5000 yen to store them. The hotel offered no compensation or even assistance with transporting the luggage to the station. Even more outrageous, the power went out twice in the middle of the night that day, causing the washing machine to stop mid-cycle and forcing us to rewash a whole load of clothes. Additionally, the power outage was announced to start at noon, but breakfast wasn't served at all that morning. At check-in, the front desk staff had us register for a new ASR membership and gave us breakfast vouchers, promising they could be used any day, yet when we tried to use them, breakfast wasn't available? What a joke. Please note, we were only informed of this entire power outage incident upon check-in. Why wasn't this communicated in advance? A power outage affecting the entire building is a major event, and the hotel must have known about it well in advance. If we had been notified earlier, we would have had time to choose another hotel. Instead, the hotel's complete inaction left us with no other options upon arrival. This is completely unacceptable in Japan, a country known for its excellent customer service!
