Amazing
DDruchiiHaving enjoyed a previous stay in February, I chose to return this July. I requested an east-facing room and was delighted that my wish was granted. The sunrise view towards the Skytree and the National Diet Building around 4:30 AM in summer is absolutely breathtaking, easily rivaling any dedicated observation deck experience. The Japanese set breakfast was both substantial and delicious, and the serene view of pine trees reflected in the restaurant's pond was incredibly soothing. Furthermore, perhaps owing to its prime location near the National Diet Building and the Prime Minister's Official Residence, the hotel offers incredibly convenient direct underground access to public transportation, yet the street-level environment remains remarkably quiet and tranquil. The staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly, and the presence of Chinese-speaking personnel ensures that Chinese guests will face virtually no language barriers. On a delightful side note, the ambient fragrance used in The Capitol Hotel Tokyu's corridors is utterly captivating – I highly recommend making it available for purchase at the hotel's souvenir shop! I will absolutely be rebooking here for my next trip to Tokyo.
GGuest UserRooms are big for Tokyo, perfect for families. Has a family mart connected to the hotel and was really convenient for quick snacks. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Shiomi station. However, take note if you are transferring trains from Tokyo Station, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes walk to change to the correct line to get to Shiomi station. You’ll get used to the walk eventually though. We had a total of 3 pax, and did not want a sofa bed, we found that the additional bed was reasonably good! There is also a supermarket nearby Shiomi station, really good for buying souvenirs back home.
GGuest UserThis is the second time we are staying at the Grand Nikko Daiba and it feels like home. We love the ambience, the views from our room, the comfort of our bed and an absolutely gorgeous bathroom and amenities like Lamer etc. The room size is much much larger than most hotels in Tokyo for this price point . The vibe is amazing and we find this hotel at a very scenic location with a small mall nearby which allows us many f&b options
DDaehyunjonRoom: This hotel has one of the largest room in Tokyo. Booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids and was given two large double bed which was good for us. I like that the toilet bowl is separated from the shower area. Shower area consist of a bathtub and a standing shower.
Cleanliness: Very very clean I must say. No mould, no grime and couldn’t spot a single speck of dust at common areas.
Service: The staff warmly greets you at the door and there’s a butler right at the door to assist you. Staff were able to speak English. The hotel is quiet and is not over crowded like some of those you find in main shopping districts. To add, they even had a turndown service where they prepare your bed and sleeping gown which is really unexpected for a 4 star hotel.
Food: No comments as we didn’t dine here.
Location: Not located within shopping district but definitely a convenient spot to travel to any shopping areas. Train station was a 3minute walk away. Train rides were about 20mins to those shopping districts. But again it’s good to not stay at those touristy areas as it can be really overwhelming there.
Amenities: Kitano provides quality amenities from individual packed shampoo, bathing gel etc to bathing salts and other common amenities. Amenities provided were fragrant and of quality even better than some common 5 star hotel chains.
Overall: Very very pleased with our 2 night stay and for the price, definitely will be back again to stay whenever we visit Tokyo.
AandydwxThis hotel is a quiet oasis amidst a lively area, with supermarkets, restaurants, and izakayas all around. Although it's a bit of a walk to the subway station, and Asakusa station has a lot of stairs which isn't ideal for luggage, the hotel offers great value for money. Plus, on the 10th floor, they have free drinks and snacks from afternoon to evening, where you can enjoy the Skytree night view while you eat.

Great
WWendy_in_deepOverall Experience:
My stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier was excellent. This is a top-tier hotel that delivers on quality, comfort, and service. The entire experience was smooth and very enjoyable.
The Positives:
· Modern & Comfortable Rooms: The rooms are stylish, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The amenities were great, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep after long days of exploring.
· Outstanding Breakfast: We opted to pay for breakfast at the hotel (6,600 JPY for two), and it was absolutely worth it. The buffet was extensive, diverse, and delicious. It featured a wonderful mix of Japanese and Western options, all of high quality. It was the perfect way to fuel up for the day.
· Impeccable Service: As expected from the Mitsui Garden brand, the staff were professional, polite, and always ready to help. Check-in and check-out were efficient and hassle-free.
· Atmosphere & Views: The hotel has a sophisticated, calm atmosphere. Some rooms offer lovely views of the surrounding greenery near Meiji Jingu Gaien.
The Only Drawback:
· Location Considerations: The only minor downside is that the hotel is situated a bit further from the main tourist hubs (like Shinjuku, Shibuya, or Tokyo Station) than we initially hoped. While it's in a peaceful and nice area, reaching the busiest districts requires a short train or subway ride. It's not a major issue, but it's something to factor in if your priority is to be right in the heart of the non-stop action.
Bottom Line:
We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers who value modern comfort, superb service, and an excellent breakfast, and who don't mind a quieter location that's a short ride away from Tokyo's central stations and attractions. It’s a peaceful retreat after a busy day in the city.
DDonbontungStaying at this Tokyo hotel is like having a 'fast pass' for city travel. Multiple lines, including JR East and the subway, are intertwined nearby, with stations just a few minutes' walk away. Whether you're visiting classic attractions like Senso-ji Temple and the Imperial Palace, or exploring various corners of the city, it's incredibly time-saving and convenient.
The room was clean and bright, with no hidden dirty corners. The space was well-planned, offering both practicality and comfort, making any travel fatigue disappear. The hotel is located in the heart of a shopping district, surrounded by numerous malls featuring everything from international brands to local trendy labels. Between shopping, you can also enjoy local delicacies like Japanese cuisine, desserts, and coffee. Its convenient transportation, excellent location, and comprehensive amenities truly enhance the travel experience, making it an excellent choice for both business trips and leisure travel.
The room is big enough for snowboards! 🏂

Great
GGuest UserIf you're looking for a hotel with a Tokyo Tower view and excellent value for money, the newly opened Hyatt is a great choice. It's directly accessible from Toranomon Hills, right off the Toranomon subway exit, with luxury hotels like Andaz, Edition, and Okura also nearby. I simply wanted to avoid those overly trendy, 'Instagrammable' spots.
Arriving at night, the moment I opened the door, I was struck by the view – that window alone made the room rate worthwhile.
The facilities lost a point because there's no bathtub, and the bathroom setup felt quite basic for a Tokyo hotel. But it wasn't a big deal, as the complimentary minibar made up for it. I also appreciated that they didn't require a pre-authorization, even though I didn't have my credit card on me. The hotel's location is fantastic, though there are very few convenience stores open past midnight nearby.
Everything else was perfect, and the bar on the ground floor had a fantastic atmosphere.
CCleav3rI've always been a loyal fan of Ascott, but the Ascott Tokyo really left me speechless. Upon check-in, we were informed that the entire building would have a power outage on our last day, meaning all guests had to vacate their rooms before noon. What's more, luggage storage wasn't allowed, so we had to drag our five suitcases ourselves to the JR Tokyo Station, about a 10-minute walk away, and pay 5000 yen to store them. The hotel offered no compensation or even assistance with transporting the luggage to the station. Even more outrageous, the power went out twice in the middle of the night that day, causing the washing machine to stop mid-cycle and forcing us to rewash a whole load of clothes. Additionally, the power outage was announced to start at noon, but breakfast wasn't served at all that morning. At check-in, the front desk staff had us register for a new ASR membership and gave us breakfast vouchers, promising they could be used any day, yet when we tried to use them, breakfast wasn't available? What a joke. Please note, we were only informed of this entire power outage incident upon check-in. Why wasn't this communicated in advance? A power outage affecting the entire building is a major event, and the hotel must have known about it well in advance. If we had been notified earlier, we would have had time to choose another hotel. Instead, the hotel's complete inaction left us with no other options upon arrival. This is completely unacceptable in Japan, a country known for its excellent customer service!
AacacacWe like Prince Hotels so we come and stay one of the Prince hotels 2-3 times a year. We know that Prince hotels have been one of the traditional hotels in Japan for long time so it’s a bit old and we can see that inside building is a bit old…but we like the good service and locations.
However this time I was a bit disappointed with the hygiene of this hotel since we realised that cleaning wasn’t done properly. Realised that spider’s silk thread was dangling from the ceiling…and also saw that a Japanese teabag’s package was torn and bathroom cleaning wasn’t clean enough when we entered…
Prince Hotels are classic and I thought we can expect the high hygiene level for rooms but I was a bit disappointed although stuffs at the reception are lovely.
Positive thing we experienced this time was a lady who handled check-in was lovely and kind we could see her hospitality spirit by the way she handled the check -in.
The garden outside was beautiful with leaves of changing colour and it was absolutely pleasant to be at the garden.
Hope cleaning condition can improved and will be able to enjoy a plesant stay in the future.
