MMitangshanzhaOn my first day, I thought the transportation would be inconvenient, but while exploring for a convenience store, I discovered Shinanomachi Station was just a 6-7 minute walk away. It has a Starbucks, supermarket, and restaurants, which was incredibly convenient. We stayed in a triple room with a super spacious balcony. While the room itself was a bit cramped, the shower and the onsen on the 2nd floor were quite good.
Turning left from the hotel's main entrance, you'll find the A1 exit of Kokuritsu-Kyogijo Station on the Toei Oedo Line. Across the street, the A2 exit of the stadium has an elevator 🛗, which is great if you have luggage. From this station, it's only two stops on the Oedo Line to Shinjuku, where you'll exit right by Keio Department Store and Yodobashi Camera. At Shinjuku Station, you can transfer to the Yamanote Line to easily reach Harajuku, Shibuya, and various other landmarks. The Yamanote Shinjuku exit also connects to shopping centers like Lumine, NEWoMan, and Takashimaya. In short, it's extremely convenient, a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. The hotel's breakfast was excellent, and I would definitely choose this hotel again. The staff were also very polite, and registering as a Mitsui member allowed for a late checkout until 12 PM.
Besides the large public bath, the 2nd floor also has vending machines, a microwave, and a laundry room. The Mitsui chain is quite convenient, perfect for those who love shopping in Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya.
Oh, and to get to Haneda Airport, you can take the Oedo Line for two stops and then transfer to the Toei Asakusa Line. Check the schedule for the Haneda Express, and you can take it directly to Haneda Airport without transferring at Sengakuji.
