Great
MMavi____TService at Section L Hamamatsucho was adequate, friendly but not overly attentive. While the decor is on the simple side, the functionality makes up for it. The rooms are apartments rather than hotel rooms, which means they come with kitchenettes and even washers and dryers – a big plus for longer stays or those who like to prepare their own meals.
Location-wise, Section L shines. It's a short walk from Daimon Station, putting you on the train network for easy access to all of Tokyo. Plus, the iconic Tokyo Tower is practically next door! This makes it a great choice for sightseeing adventures.
Pros:
Excellent Location: Close to Daimon Station and Tokyo Tower, perfect for exploring Tokyo.
Apartments, not Rooms: Kitchenettes and laundry facilities provide flexibility, especially for extended stays.
Practical Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with cable, and basic toiletries are all included.
Cons:
Simple Decor: Don't expect luxury finishes, but the space is clean and functional.
Limited Service: Staff is friendly but service is basic, with no on-site restaurant or spa amenities.
Overall, Section L Hamamatsucho is a good option for budget-minded travelers who prioritize location and functionality over extensive hotel services. If you're looking for a comfortable base to explore Tokyo and appreciate having laundry facilities and a kitchenette, this could be a great fit.
BBk64A nice and clean apartment located in a very vibrant area, one station to Ueno JR.
The apartment is well equipped and the sound insulation is quite good even though it's located right next to the JY train track.
There are many restaurants around and Baby Egg is highly recommended for breakfast or brunch.

CCleav3rI've always been a loyal fan of Ascott, but the Ascott Tokyo really left me speechless. Upon check-in, we were informed that the entire building would have a power outage on our last day, meaning all guests had to vacate their rooms before noon. What's more, luggage storage wasn't allowed, so we had to drag our five suitcases ourselves to the JR Tokyo Station, about a 10-minute walk away, and pay 5000 yen to store them. The hotel offered no compensation or even assistance with transporting the luggage to the station. Even more outrageous, the power went out twice in the middle of the night that day, causing the washing machine to stop mid-cycle and forcing us to rewash a whole load of clothes. Additionally, the power outage was announced to start at noon, but breakfast wasn't served at all that morning. At check-in, the front desk staff had us register for a new ASR membership and gave us breakfast vouchers, promising they could be used any day, yet when we tried to use them, breakfast wasn't available? What a joke. Please note, we were only informed of this entire power outage incident upon check-in. Why wasn't this communicated in advance? A power outage affecting the entire building is a major event, and the hotel must have known about it well in advance. If we had been notified earlier, we would have had time to choose another hotel. Instead, the hotel's complete inaction left us with no other options upon arrival. This is completely unacceptable in Japan, a country known for its excellent customer service!
KKurniawan ChandraThis hotel is not new but quite well maintained. Just 7-9 minutes walk to Shinjuku gyoen station and around 15 minutes to Shinjuku main St. Surrounded by night life area and some fastfood like Yoshinoya and Sukiya. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially mr Lorenso. The best things is they have a 25m2 room which you can’t find in Shinjuka area with the reasonable price loke this hotel.

WWEI SONG LEEAlways like the Citadines line of hotel across the globe, although Citadines Shinjuku is no the better one, at it's price, it is considerably good for Japan. Located right at the fringe of Kabukicho, you will be within minutes away from all the action, shopping and food. There is a Lawson located directly downstairs and a 7-11 two doors down. Next to 7-11 is a Takoyaki shop that opens 24hrs which serves decently good Takoyaki (must try)!

LLUCE ·͜·This is just my impression of the room I stayed in.
If you're just staying there, there's no problem overall.
It feels like an apartment-type hotel.
The only things I noticed were 1) the cleaning was a bit poor (there were a few hairs in the bathroom, there was quite a bit of dust in the bedroom, and there were still ice cubes in the freezer)
2) I don't recommend the shampoo (this may have only happened in the room I stayed in, but I think shampoo is especially uncomfortable for women. You might want to bring your own.)
These are the only two things I can think of.
There are no amenities, so you have to bring your own.
There was a Panasonic hair dryer.
There was a kitchen, so basic kitchen utensils were provided. (There was also a refrigerator and freezer.)
There was a washing machine, powder detergent, and fabric softener.
There was an extension cord.
The common areas such as the entrance and stairs are a bit narrow, so it may be a bit difficult to bring large carry-on bags.
The cleaning and amenities (including shampoo) were a bit poor, but other than that I had no particular problems, so I thought it was pretty good value for money.
TTiffany CheongThe hotel is nice and clean and is big enough. The only one thing is the hotel is quite far away from the subway. It takes around 10 min to walk from the subway. It is quite exhausting to walk that far after a long day. Aside from this, others things are good.

GGuest UserCons:
1. They don't provide towel.
2. There is only one 24-hour bathroom, others are not available in the night.
3. Check In is 4 PM, checkout is before 10 AM. It's like they are stealing some hours from you. That's 6 hours difference, can you imagine? They say its because they make sure they clean the rooms thoroughly before check in time. Nope mam/sor, others can do atleast 3 hours but you're stealing 6 hours basically.
4. I booked 4 nights, and only during my last night I have seen someone attended their reception (I never see someone during the 3 days lol)
Pros:
1. Okay it's really cleans, props up to them.
2. Fast wifi and there's a working station (as someone who works remotely)
3. The convenience because there is lots of restaurants around and 7/11
4. Lastly, what I love here is the location which is just 200m away from Mikawashima station. It's so easy to take train, I go back always late because the station is just literally near.
GGuest User1.Check-in was via tab located at the front counter, just need to follow the instructions and will easily get the door pin code. However we had problems previously as the pin number was locked, probably because we have entered the pin before 3 pm check-in time. So I had to call the hotline provided and explained my problem. Luckily the staff who picked up the phone understand English so he gave us a new number.
2.We got a unit with 2 rooms, just enough for my small family. Beds are comfortable, no heater but air conditioning with heater function.
3.Kitchen is functional and all equipments are present.
4.Washing machine is provided but no dryer, it's okay for us.
5.Shower ventilation fan was way too loud comparing to the one at the toilet,, kids are worried about the noise on their head. Please please fix it urgently at all units.
6.Location is okay, there's a famous Halal restaurant nearby about 8 minutes walk called Halal Sakura an Uzbekistan owned.
7.Supermarkets are along the way to the apartment. Food supplies are easy to get.
8.If you are coming from Uguisudani station, kindly exit at North entrance of the station as it is more convenient than the other side.
9.There's one Don quijote store and a kebab (not sure if halal) near Uguisudani North entrance.
Overall it is a great accommodation with an affordable price. Towels, linens, soap and shampoo are comfortable and sufficient. Thanks for a great management. A slight improvement will make it even better.
