We had a really great time here. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The rooms are very clean and spacious, beds are comfortable and sheets are soft. Shower has good pressure and our room had a hairdryer of very good quality. The owner is super kind and he gave us all information about what to do in xingping and Yangshuo. We totally would come back!

New hotel with great modern comforts. Supreme location and even better service. Rooms are futuristic, equipped met voice-controlled AI that operates lighting, windows and more. Rooms are small, but compact and comfortable, providing five-star amenities and service in a locale that has limited logistical support for true modern luxury. As a result, one of the nicest boutique stays during my trip in China. Service is really the big star here: from check-in to meals, laundry and help booking activities, the hotel's human touch and concierge service (also available via WeChat) is absolutely fantastic. From daily things like helping us with laundry and heating meals, as well travel highlights like helping to book great activities at good prices. Friendly, helpful and kind, every moment with the hotel staff they've gone above and beyond to provide an amazing experience. Special recommendation to book the traditional night fishing activity, which was really a unique experience. Hotel also runs a small restaurant close-by which serves amazing local home-cooked food at decent prices, really worth trying some time. Breakfast buffet is also simple, nutritional and great tasting. Moreover, amenities are comprehensive, extras are conveniently grabbed from reception, there's a convenience store open late downstairs and a coffee shop open early in the morning, in the same building. Did I mention amazing location? Right at the Xingping warf, with the higher level rooms overlooking the legendary 20 Yuan-bill-panorama from the room window. Rooms have balconies, baths, really nice. 15 minutes walk from everything, including the ancient town shopping and food streets, as well as all major sights. Literally 1 minute from the ferry across the river, from where you can grab Didi's to explore the other side of the area (don't taxi all the way around, just ferry and didi after). Again, amazing hotel, 100% recommended if you want to stay outside of overly touristy Yangshuo.

The hotel is very close to Xingping Ancient Town and also conveniently located for catching the bamboo rafts. I stayed with my child, and the room was spacious and clean, which was great. The view from the sixth floor is exactly like the photos. It's perfectly situated for exploring the scenic area and enjoying delicious food, all for around 20 yuan. Although communicating in English was a bit challenging, the staff were incredibly kind. My child was thrilled to receive a small gift at check-out.

I absolutely loved Valley House for its location, cleanliness, exquisite taste, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, and spotlessly clean. The views are unbeatable: the Li River is just a few meters away, and the famous mountains depicted on the 20 yuan banknote are right in front of the hotel. You just have to cross the street to rent a scooter. If you walk about 15 meters further down towards the Li River, you can book a bamboo boat ride, join a fisherman to observe the ancient practice of cormorant fishing, or simply stroll and relax along the bank. Every day, they offer a complimentary assortment of fresh fruit, and at the dining area counter, a variety of homemade beverages, such as homemade lemonade, freshly ground coffee, or date and ginger tea, are available 24/7. They also prepare delicious dishes upon request. The menu is quite extensive and includes vegetarian options, but meals need to be reserved before 9:30 PM the day before. The staff is exceptionally attentive, kind, and highly empathetic, something I had genuinely started to miss during this nearly month-long trip. Suffice it to say that every day, after feasting on their delicious dinners, they would offer me a small bowl of red bean paste soup, just in case I was still hungry. And this is just one example among many of the warm human touch provided by the staff at this hotel. Besides five stars, they deserve a five-heart rating. A real gem and, without a doubt, the best accommodation of this entire trip. I will never forget you. 🥰

Super nice place to stay. The lady at the reception who we also think was the owner, was super friendly and professional. She was also speaking in English, which was super nice, as we did not have to use any translation apps like in other hotels. The room was clean and nice, with a balcony. We loved the balcony, as we were sitting during the night and enjoying the sound of nature. The hotel also offers food at the restaurant at the rooftop with a nice view. The location is amazing with people selling things under your balcony, close to the shops and restaurants from one side, whilst also close to the river and all the attractions on the other. Also, this is the exact location where you can go up to Laozhai mountain for the breathtaking view, the hiking route literally starts less than a minute away from the hotel. (P.S. please make sure you understand that the way up the mountain is very steep, with no build steps/stair, we literally climb up rocks - do not go when its dark). Location: Situated across the river from the ancient town, requiring a ferry crossing. Once you're on the other side, if you contact the owner in advance, they'll pick you up from the pier! Atmosphere: The guesthouse environment is excellent, surrounded by natural scenery. The nearby pomelo orchard smells wonderful when it's in bloom. Room: The room is very comfortable. The toothbrushes, shampoo, and shower gel all felt like good quality. The owner even thoughtfully provided disinfectant wipes for the smart toilet – service truly lies in the details! Service: The owner's service is superb! They can also help arrange tour routes, and you even get a discount if you book through them. The recommended restaurants weren't the trendy 'internet-famous' kind, but the food was genuinely delicious. The bamboo chicken received unanimous praise from the whole family!

Heavenly service! A heartwarming breakfast when I wasn't feeling well. My stay was perfect! The room was incredibly clean, and I felt comfortable the moment I walked in. My favorite part was the view from the window; I could see continuous mountain peaks right from my bed – it was like a natural landscape painting. Breakfast was a set menu, and I initially thought it would be fixed. However, my husband wasn't feeling well and didn't come down to eat. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and specially prepared steamed buns, sweet potatoes, and eggs for me. They were very generous with the portions, not stingy at all, and the nutritional balance was great, with delicious flavors. I have to commend the service. From the high-speed train station pickup, I felt their warmth, and all the staff were very attentive. Service: Excellent! The staff were all warm, attentive, and very responsive to any requests. Environment: Superb! If you're on a relaxed trip, you could easily spend all your time at the hotel. On a good weather day, it's just a few minutes' walk along a small path to the Li River, where it's less crowded and the scenery is beautiful. Cleanliness: Pretty good. I didn't find any dirty spots, and all the essentials were there. The mattress was quite comfortable, though the soundproofing was just okay. However, it was still relatively quiet at night, given that there weren't many people around.

What a hidden gem of a resort I found in Xingping! It's perfect for a staycation. The whole environment is tranquil and serene, with a huge central lawn surrounded by stunning mountain and river scenery – every corner is a photo opportunity. The rooms are simply yet elegantly decorated, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer unbeatable views. The balcony has a leisure table and chairs, making it super comfortable to sip tea, enjoy the breeze, and unwind for an afternoon. The infinity pool water is clean, and watching the sunset over the mountains and rivers in the evening washes away all your fatigue. It's also very close to the high-speed rail station. The hotel service is meticulous and thoughtful; there are free drinks in the lobby, and you can even try cultural activities like fan painting and rubbings. The breakfast is delicious, with unlimited refills of Guilin rice noodles, allowing you to experience Yangshuo's local specialties without even leaving the hotel. No need to rush; you can easily spend a whole day just taking photos and swimming at the hotel. Da Peng, the photographer for Xiaowan Travel Photography, was very patient and gave great guidance. For solo travelers, this is a definite go-to!

The ambiance is elegant and utterly charming. The courtyard is a treasure trove of unique and exquisite stones, with every step revealing a new, thoughtfully designed vista. The breakfast area in the courtyard is serene and tranquil, a truly hidden gem. In your downtime, you can relax in the lobby, watch a movie, or play the piano – it's incredibly cozy and healing. Highly recommended!
