very sweet and helpful owner! drove us to the park entrance and was very attentive. she helped us find our way around the small town and cooked us good food:) we also had a really nice balcony with view of the pillars!

The hotel is really nice! Very kind hostesses, very delicious food and everything is really cheap. The view from the balcony is wonderful, it’s at Avatar Mountains! The hostess gives a free ride to these mountains. She gives clear explanations what you should do and which places to visit. Really recommend to choose this hotel for visiting. The guest house is in a convenient location near the South Gate of Zhangjiajie, which is not the busiest gate (East Gate is). We liked this because it meant we didn't have to queue for the free shuttle buses when we showed up in the morning. The lady will drop you off and pick you up from South Gate for free, which is very convenient. The South gate is very close to Huangshi Village, and it's also convenient to take a Didi to Middle Gate for the Golden Whip Stream walk. The owner is super helpful when planning out routes for where to travel. We took a Didi to Middle Gate then a shuttle bus to the east side of the Golden whip stream and then walked the scenic hike to Huangshi village. Sadly we ran out of time to go up the cable car. For the second day we started at South Gate and took the shuttle bus to Yangjiajie. Note it is actually 2 shuttle buses separated by a 15 minute non-stop staircase climb. This route is not recommended if you have young children or elderly people in your party. We then went to Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain and exited via East Gate and Didi'd back to the hotel. In terms of the hotel it is clean and comfortable. Only issue is there are a bunch of roosters, and a very very cute Alaskan Malamute that like to have a choir together in the middle of the night. I would be annoyed, but the Malamute is so cute I can't even remove any stars from this review.

We ate at the boss's house for several days in a row, because the boss's own bacon is so delicious. When we left, we pestered the boss lady to sell us some bacon. I strongly recommend the bacon pig's trotters. It's so delicious that I ate three bowls of rice! The boss's wife also has a washing machine, and the clothes can be dried overnight after washing! The boss's house also has a big Ala, because I have a dog myself, so I am very happy! In short, everything is good! Highly recommended!

And the night of the check-in, the boss also explained the route to me very enthusiastically. You don't need to make a strategy at all. Just forget your brain and follow the boss's route. You can solve it. The next morning, I went to the forest park. I slept late and didn't get up. It was only at 10 o'clock that the boss called my name downstairs and woke me up. Haha. Then the boss was very enthusiastic to make me a pancake and sent me to the park. On the way, he was afraid that I would forget how to go and explained the route to me again. Before entering the park, he was very considerate to remind me to remember to eat before entering, otherwise the monkeys would snatch it (as expected, I saw tourists' things being snatched just after eating and entering) When I returned to the homestay at night, I ordered braised pork ribs. The portion was large and delicious The boss also gave me a big bowl of egg fried rice. It was so fragrant. On the third day, the boss also sent me to the park. Then I went to the noodle shop that the boss strongly recommended for breakfast. It was really delicious. He also explained the strategy to me on the way. Then I met a second-year junior high school student on the way. I didn’t follow the boss’s route at that time and took him to a long detour to see a more remote scenic spot. In the end, the two of us got lost and called the boss to get out. What’s more considerate is that because time is too tight and the child has to catch the high-speed rail, I told the boss the specific time we have to catch the high-speed rail. The boss was also very straightforward to plan for us to see the most scenery and ensure that we can catch the high-speed rail. It’s really considerate. Thank you for the boss’s warm hospitality. On the last day, the boss cooked egg noodles for breakfast, and I also ate the birthday cake for the children made by the boss’ sister. It was delicious.
