Product Range for Wholesale & Retail

Shuibei maintains year-round full inventory of nearly all wearable and collectible jewellery. Unlike exclusive wholesale markets, it openly serves individual retail buyers and bulk resellers with no membership fees, supporting flexible single-piece purchases and large-batch sourcing for Canadian visitors.

Core permanent product categories include:

  • Precious metals: Pure gold, K-gold, rose gold, sterling silver ornaments, investment bars and custom metal pieces.
  • Diamonds & precious gemstones: Full-carat natural and lab-grown diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds and certified high-end stones.
  • Jade & pearls: Jadeite, nephrite ornaments, freshwater, South Sea and Tahitian pearls for retail and bulk orders.
  • Semi-precious stones & accessories: Amethyst, crystal, agate, turquoise and trendy daily-wear jewellery.

Pro Buying Tips for High-Value Jewellery

Shuibei offers transparent, stable pricing for high-value jewellery at a huge discount compared to Canadian retailers. All items follow global market standards with verifiable quality markings and official certifications. Below are key buying guidelines for precious metals, diamonds, gems, jade and pearls:

  • Gold jewellery: Priced by real-time international gold rates plus a low processing fee. Standard Au999, Au990 and 18K hallmarks guarantee authentic purity.
  • Diamonds: Available in 0.3 to 5+ carats (natural and lab-grown). All quality stones come with official GIA or NGTC 4C grading certificates for full traceability.
  • Jade & pearls: Always ask for formal appraisal certificates to avoid artificially treated goods. High-quality pearls feature uniform shape, smooth surfaces and consistent luster.
  • Semi-precious stones: Choose pieces with even colour, clean texture and no visible cracks for reliable quality and long-term value.

Custom Jewellery Commission Process

Custom jewellery is Shuibei’s signature advantage, priced 50–70% lower than Canadian custom work with no hidden charges. Its standardized, permanent process is straightforward for all international visitors:

  1. Submit design requirements via images, sketches or verbal descriptions;
  2. Select metal and gemstone materials to match your budget;
  3. Review and revise custom 3D design drafts;
  4. Complete professional production, setting and polishing;
  5. Receive finished pieces with official quality certifications.

Fixed lead times apply year-round: 3–5 working days for simple engraved items, 7–15 days for complex wedding sets and large jade carvings.

Smart Shuibei Shopping Tips for First-Time Canadian Visitors

Smart Shuibei Shopping Tips for First-Time Canadian Visitors

These universal rules help Canadian shoppers avoid pitfalls and shop rationally year-round:

  • Bargaining etiquette: Retail orders have mild negotiation room, while bulk orders qualify for standard wholesale discounts. Late-afternoon shopping offers more flexible pricing; avoid extreme lowball offers.
  • Wholesale MOQ Rules: No universal 5-piece rule. Silver & small accessories require 5+ pieces for wholesale pricing; gold, diamond and high-value fine jewellery support single-piece wholesale rates, ideal for individual Canadian buyers.
  • Authenticity guarantee: Collect official NGTC/GIA certificates for all high-value items; paid on-site re-inspection is available.
  • Pitfall avoidance: Steer clear of overpriced low-grade jade, uncertified diamonds and unverified raw stones.
  • Cross-store comparison: Prices and workmanship vary by vendor; always compare options before purchasing.

Essential Practical Tips for Canadian Travellers

Essential Practical Tips for Canadian Travellers

Visa, Payment & Connectivity

Canadian ordinary passport holders qualify for 30-day visa-free entry for tourism, business and transit (valid until December 31, 2026), with a minimum of 6 months passport validity required. Only RMB (Chinese Yuan) is accepted for in-person transactions; currency exchange services are widely available at airports and local banks. International bank cards can be bound to Alipay or WeChat Pay for daily payments, while small cash is recommended for street vendors. Local SIM cards or portable Wi-Fi devices provide stable internet, and a VPN is required to access Canadian social platforms and apps in China.

Safety & China Customs Rules

Shuibei is a highly secure commercial zone with 24-hour monitoring. When exiting China, ensure all jewellery purchases meet the “personal use, reasonable quantity” standard to avoid customs issues.

CBSA Rules for Bringing Jewellery Back to Canada

Canadian travellers must fully declare all overseas jewellery to CBSA to avoid penalties. Trips of 48 hours or longer qualify for a CAD 800 duty exemption; shorter trips have lower exemption limits. Purchases exceeding the threshold incur standard GST/HST and import duties. Always retain receipts and certificates for verification, insurance and resale. Bulk identical pieces are classified as commercial goods with higher duty rates.

Final Thoughts

As an experienced Canadian cross-border shopper, I highly recommend Shuibei as a reliable year-round jewellery destination. With factory-low prices, diverse inventory, professional custom work and strict quality control, it delivers far better value than Canadian retail stores. This guide covers all essential rules and tips for safe, cost-effective jewellery shopping in Shenzhen.

This business trip, I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Gooday, and the overall experience was incredibly pleasant. I absolutely have to commend Joy, the concierge. Joy is wonderfully kind and approachable. When I was checking in, she noticed I often work at a desk, so she proactively upgraded me to an executive deluxe king room. The room had an excellent orientation, far from noisy hallway areas, and the soundproofing was superb. Whether I was working during the day or resting at night, it was exceptionally peaceful. The entire room was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the workspace was ample, with plenty of room for my laptop and documents without feeling cramped. The hotel's location is also excellent, making it very convenient for business meetings. Joy is genuinely sincere and her service is attentive without being overly formal or intrusive. Her perfectly timed thoughtfulness really helped alleviate the fatigue of a busy business trip. My overall stay was very comfortable, and I will definitely choose this hotel again for future business in the area.

This hotel has an old money, old-school business vibe. The facilities are a bit dated but still very clean. I stayed in a king room, and the bed was quite comfortable; I fell asleep quickly and soundly, even sleeping until 8 AM, which was unexpected. The breakfast offered a good variety of both Chinese and Western options and was quite plentiful, with plenty to choose from. The location is also very convenient. I happened to be there during a thunderstorm, and I was able to get from the Ritz-Carlton direction through a connecting corridor and subway passage, avoiding the rain. The hotel service was excellent.

I stay at this hotel every weekend when I go to Shenzhen. It's right by the Futian Port, so it's relatively quiet and clean, and I always get a comfortable night's sleep. The check-in process was exceptionally quick and friendly. The entire area boasts convenient transportation and commercial development, making our family trip thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The service at this five-star Hilton is consistently reliable. The kids' area has dedicated supervision, and breakfast dishes are replenished promptly so there are no empty trays. All the in-room appliances and facilities are new and in perfect condition. Plus, there's ample parking. We didn't have to worry about anything, from dining to accommodation and getting around.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Futian Railway Station. Although it's an older hotel that's been open for many years, the facilities and service are still top-notch. The room was very comfortable, and the layout was incredibly practical and convenient to use. It seems like it's been renovated, so it doesn't feel old at all. The front desk staff even assigned me a room with a great view; I could see Lianhua Mountain out the window, a lovely green sight that was very relaxing. I didn't take any pictures inside the hotel, but I did snap one outside the entrance.

It's true that all hotels in Shenzhen, including the Four Seasons, are primarily business hotels, giving off a strong business vibe rather than a resort feel. The location is incredibly convenient, especially its proximity to Futian Station, making it super cost-effective for same-day return trips to Hong Kong for meetings. The service at the Four Seasons is, as expected, impeccable – appropriately warm and meticulous. Cleanliness is a given. There were only two minor discomforts: first, we were initially given a corner room, and my wife had nightmares staying there at night. When we asked to switch, they didn't clearly inform her that the new room would incur an upgrade fee. They quietly deducted it from my deposit, which felt a bit uncomfortable. They could have been upfront about it instead of doing it discreetly. BTW, the Zhuo Yue Xuan at the Four Seasons is genuinely delicious, but remember to ask for less white wine in the char siu.

This is an old hotel that's been around for decades, and you can tell that the furniture used back in the day was top-notch. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, and well-equipped with various facilities. However, with time, it's a bit outdated now; the lack of smart toilets is a noticeable drawback. But on the bright side, the spacious rooms, elegant decor, and comprehensive facilities, along with meticulous cleaning, really allow us to sleep soundly and comfortably without a worry. I absolutely have to give a huge shout-out for the hotel's service and food! 👍 **Service:** It was Dragon Boat Festival, which coincided with my mother's birthday and Father's Day, so I came back to Shenzhen to celebrate with my parents. Since the booking was quite last-minute, I messaged the hotel, just hoping, to ask if they could arrange a birthday setup. The hotel staff readily agreed and did an amazing job with the birthday decorations! Upon arrival, we were informed that both rooms had been complimentary upgraded to high-floor deluxe rooms, and the birthday decorations inside the rooms were perfect! I'm incredibly satisfied! 😊 **Food:** Breakfast is served at the all-day dining restaurant, the Beer Bar on the 3rd floor. IHG members can move to the Prego Italian restaurant for a quieter atmosphere. The continental buffet breakfast offers a rich variety and excellent quality, including a noodle station and made-to-order omelets. The omelets and black truffle scrambled eggs were particularly amazing! For lunch, we used a dining voucher at the Fu Lin Men restaurant on the 2nd floor. Note that the voucher can only be used for à la carte stir-fries; it's not applicable for tea or dim sum, and cannot be combined with member discounts or group purchases. The dim sum at Fu Lin Men is excellent; the shrimp dumplings are smooth and tender, the tripe is crisp, and the stir-fries are consistently good. After using the voucher, the total cost for three people was 210 yuan, which was a very satisfying meal overall! 😋 Great value for money! I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Luohu!

Plus, it's a short walk to Leyuan Road Seafood Street, offering plenty of late-night dining options. The 360 bar is well worth a visit, it's got a spectacular view and they make great cocktails. Lovely pool and gym too, it's an amazing retreat in Louhu and it's so close to the border, which makes it such a worthwhile place to visit. Also, there were 5 different types of teabags to choose from in the room, which was a lovely touch. Came here during the kids' summer break, so the hotel wasn't crowded. It was as great as ever, but somehow always exceeds expectations. The location is super convenient. There's a dedicated shuttle right downstairs that gets you to the beach in 5 minutes. If you're not in the mood for the beach, the hotel also offers both outdoor and indoor swimming pools. In the evenings, there are plenty of delicious food options nearby, which is really handy after a fun day out. The room was very clean and quiet; I didn't hear any noise from the hallway at night. When I opened the floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean in the morning, the waves seemed to crash right into my eyes. The bedding was just the right firmness, and I felt completely refreshed after sleeping. I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk staff; their service was excellent, always smiling, and very patient – definitely a thumbs up. For breakfast, there's a wide variety of hot dishes, and even several types of eggs to choose from. Basic congee and buns are also available. This was a perfect hotel for us to land after a long international flight with young kids; huge hotel and compound which likely had its prime when it was first built 20 years ago; it needs a lot of maintenance and upkeep but the standout of it was its nature park access which is a must with young kids; so beautiful and lots of fun. It would be so nice if it became more popular again so they can restore the place to its former glory. Workers were really warm and friendly; breakfast was a nice touch.

Breakfast variety is acceptable, with most essentials covered. Overall, the hotel service is quite good, but the breakfast restaurant service is very average. The biggest rip-off, though, is the hotel's spa. It's overpriced and the massage technique is terrible. I'd say it's the worst spa experience I've had at a five-star hotel! This was my first stay at the Shenzhen Marriott Hotel, and honestly, it was a mixed bag – some good, some not so good. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were excellent, very friendly and helpful. However, the staff at the entrance and the bellhops were quite disappointing. They weren't proactive in assisting guests, and for a hotel, the first impression often comes from the entrance staff. This really detracted from my overall experience. The front desk staff were polite and said everything was fine, but the baggage handlers were truly awful. On the positive side, the dim sum at the restaurant was exceptional. So, if I ever consider staying here again, I'll definitely have to think long and hard about it. I honestly don't understand how a five-star hotel can have such a stark difference in service quality. For a first-time guest at the Marriott Shenzhen, it was certainly a memorable experience, but not entirely for the right reasons.

The MIXC Shenzhen and KK100 Shenzhen|5.01km from city centre
This city hotel, with its views of the Shenzhen skyline from every angle, is my top pick for city views. The location, hotel amenities, surrounding facilities, and guest services are all exceptional. Many online reviews mention that the hotel is a bit old and the facilities are dated, but after staying there, I disagree. When the hotel first opened, it was very well-equipped, from the bathrooms to the decor, and even had iPads, which are usually only found at The Peninsula, making it quite convenient. If you're concerned about outdated hardware, you can opt for a suite or higher-category room, as it seems these have all been updated. I have two particularly strong impressions: 1) Due to a minor operational error by the hotel, I contacted the platform, and they connected me with the duty manager. The duty manager on the day of my check-in was very friendly, highly professional, and also quite personable and sincere. This was one of the best duty managers I've encountered at a St. Regis property. 2) When checking out, I left my luggage in the room, intending to have the concierge store it. However, after exchanging currency, I found it inconvenient to carry the cash and wanted to retrieve my wallet from my bag. The two concierges on the 1st floor responded quickly and were very professional. 3) When leaving the hotel and hailing a taxi, the driver didn't stop right at the entrance. The concierge helped find the car and opened the door for me. Highly commendable! Finally, a big thank you to: Duty Manager (DEPP YANG) Concierge (SUNNY QIN, GAMELLIA GUO)

The location of the hotel is just perfect! 2 minutes of a walking distance to the Sea World. The room was clean. And the laundry service was available as well. Personally, I used the iron and the ironing board. But there were some disappointing facts about the shower cabin. The water pours and leaks out of the cabin which makes the floor so wet, so no towels can help, and I had to collect it with my slippers apparently. And there was shampoo in the shampoo and conditioner containers both which means I just washed my head twice. I’d recommend the hotel stuff mind these details. But, nevertheless, thanks my stay there!

The staff on the first floor were proactive in helping me with my luggage and took it to the elevator. When checking in at the 31st-floor reception, Ryan greeted us warmly. I specifically sought him out, and he kindly assigned us a high-floor room on the 48th floor and even offered complimentary breakfast for the children! A big thumbs up for that! 👍 **Room** The website stated 43 square meters, which felt about right, a standard size. The in-room tea was Twinings tea bags, both green and black tea. The fixtures, like the faucets and showerhead, seemed newer than those at the Hyatt in Dongguan. The hairdryer was a Lefein, with strong airflow, a big plus! The shower pressure was excellent, another thumbs up! 👍 The linens were standard, and housekeeping was very prompt; our room was already clean when we returned from breakfast. The twin beds were 1.2 meters wide; though small, they were firm and could be moved together. The only thing I didn't like was the quality of the toothbrushes; I recommend bringing your own if you're particular. The air conditioning was quite noisy. **Food** The dinner buffet was fantastic! The chef team spoke Cantonese, and the hot Cantonese dishes were on point, especially the black char siu – delicious! The stir-fried vegetables were all good, and the boiled beef in chili oil was excellent! You could also get clay pot garlic seafood made fresh on the spot; you pick your ingredients and hand them to the chef to prepare. Sashimi was readily available on platters for self-service without waiting. The grilled beef at the live station was incredibly tender; my child had three servings! There were also grilled squid and other meats, with a short wait of only three or four people. Desserts included Napoleon cake, cheesecake, and durian mille-feuille, all made fresh by the chefs. The individual serving was steamed lobster with glass noodles, and the meat was springy and very fresh! If I had to pick a fault, it would be the lack of freshly squeezed juice. In comparison, breakfast was slightly disappointing. During the May Day holiday, if you arrived at the restaurant a bit late, you had to queue. Also, later on, the freshly squeezed juice dispenser was empty and not refilled. The noodle bar only offered minced meat and green beans as toppings, and there was no good chili sauce. The variety of Chinese hot dishes was limited. The highlight was the freshly made wontons; although they took a while to cook and there was a long queue, they were amazing when I finally got to eat them! The soup was incredibly flavorful! Breakfast was just about filling, but the quality was a bit lacking. **Public Areas** The lobby on the 31st floor offered beautiful sea and mountain views. The gym was outsourced but truly professional and spacious! There was even a 24-hour gym! The swimming pool was smaller than expected, with shallow water, and was an outdoor heated pool. Children's facilities were minimal, almost non-existent. There were parent-child activities, such as handicrafts, which we didn't participate in. After dinner, you could walk to the seaside boardwalk; though crowded and noisy, it was sufficient for a stroll. The hotel was a 10-minute walk from the entrance to Bitongdao on Wutong Mountain, making it convenient for hiking. Staying at the Hyatt in Yantian during the holiday ensures good food and accommodation, allows for hiking, and offers easy access by car or metro to OCT (Overseas Chinese Town) or Dameisha/Xiaomeisha for an enjoyable trip!

Traveling with a child, I prioritized convenience. The hotel's pool on the 3rd floor was perfect – not crowded and always had a lifeguard on duty. The location was great too, close to all the attractions, whether by metro or taxi. Overall, what really made this hotel experience stand out was the staff. Everyone, regardless of their role, was incredibly dedicated and friendly. For instance, Toey, who helped me check in, was super efficient and tried her best to get me into my room quickly, knowing I had an early flight and a child with me. Similarly, Leila, who assisted me when I decided to extend my stay, was very helpful. Even though it's an older hotel, the staff's warmth and enthusiasm really made up for it! 👍

This white house, dubbed 'Shenzhen's Santorini,' truly exceeded my expectations! Here's an honest review of my experience: 📍 Location & Surroundings The B&B is nestled on Dapeng Nanao's First Beach, with the blue coast in front and lush mountains behind. It's about a 1.5-hour drive from the city center and just a 20-meter walk directly to the beach. Shuitao Beach boasts clear water and fine sand, is uncrowded and peaceful, and offers stunning sunset views. 🛏️ Room & Amenities Each room provides an unobstructed 180-degree panoramic sea view, with floor-to-ceiling windows bringing the expansive blue ocean right in. Rooms are equipped with a bathtub, projector, hairdryer, and feature a minimalist, high-end 'creamy' aesthetic. It's perfectly relaxing to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset. 👨💼 Service & Dining 24-hour butler service is available on call to help with luggage and travel planning. Takeout can be delivered directly to your room – enjoying delicious food with a sea view is pure bliss; complimentary sweet soup is also offered in the evenings. There's a coffee bar on the first floor and a Thai-themed restaurant on the second. 💯 Summary With its exceptional location, unbeatable front-row sea views, and attentive service, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shenzhen to see the sea! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Dapeng.

On a business trip to Shenzhen, I found this hotel conveniently located near the subway. It's a direct line from the airport, and the hotel is just a 3-minute walk from the station. The front desk staff were really welcoming. I arrived quite hot and sweaty from my walk, and they immediately offered to help with my luggage, gave me tissues to wipe my face, and even got me some water – so thoughtful! It felt just like coming home. The room was clean and tidy, very comfortable. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, it's a great place, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip. Highly recommended.

The room facilities are complete, and there's a gym on the 11th floor equipped with instruments like an oximeter, ensuring high safety. They even upgraded my room type. Zoe at the front desk was gentle and approachable, and the aunt responsible for breakfast was also very warm. All the staff were great and greeted me whenever we met. Five-star rating, highly recommended!

Excellent value, fantastic service, and a great location! I had a very pleasant stay at the Sentosa Taoyuan Hotel. This hotel is a hidden gem – it feels like a luxury boutique property but at a very reasonable price. The value for money is outstanding. The service truly made the difference. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A special shout-out to the young lady at the front desk who checked me in; she kindly gave me a free upgrade to the ”Elegant Suite.” The suite was spacious and comfortable, complete with a kitchen and a very functional desk that made working remotely a breeze. She also went out of her way to help me print an important document, which I really appreciated. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable, perfect for video calls. The location is another big plus – it's close to Shenzhen University, Taoyuan metro station, and the Bank of China. There are also plenty of great dining options nearby, including authentic Chinese restaurants and even a Burger King for a rare Western treat. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Shenzhen. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is excellent; it's right by the sea and a park. One City is within walking distance. It's super convenient to catch mini-buses downstairs for places like Enshang Wetland Park. The sea view is a bit obstructed but still decent. It would be even better if the breakfast had more variety.
