Given the reviews, I was not keen to stay here, but thanks to Ajax v Napoli there were no others available. To sum up, this isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It is a 3 star hotel. Positives: - Location is superb - Architecturally stunning building - Large room (in my case, at least) - WiFi speeds are good. I was able to do video meetings from my room - Staff were pleasant and friendly Negatives: - Inside, the hotel is dark and in a state of disrepair - The kitchen closes early, and room service appears to not be possible. I was told that I should download Uber Eats if I wanted food after 10pm. - The room is tidy, but basic areas like around the sinks, bath, windows and TV were dirty - There is a smell of sewage that comes from the shower drain - The majority of channels on the TV are unavailable - There is no air conditioning. I had 2 tower fans in my room, and I had to use them both just to stay cool - No help with luggage, not that I couldn't manage myself - You get a bottle of water on the table when you check in. I had some the first night because it was so hot in the room. The second night when I was working late, I turned to open my fresh bottle. Nope! Same half empty bottle, had just been moved back to the table again. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel! Stay somewhere else. A few weeks earlier, I stayed in the Sofitel Legend. THAT is a 5 star hotel.

After the check-in, I encountered a series of problems. The front desk arranged people to help me solve the problem. The service was very good. My suitcase is broken, and the hotel is looking for someone to help me get it. Then the skinny is too slippery to open the door. The front desk is looking for repairs. I can wrap the tape on the handle to facilitate my access and the hotel steak is super delicious.

Excellent location, could walk to every “tourist” place. . Plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the doors! The breakfast at the hotel was great with lots of options and the staff very accommodating! Pastry chef is outstanding..deserves a raise!! Croissants the lightest fluffiest ever! Everything tastes as good as it looks! Front desk staff very nice, Sarah went out of her way to “fix” a minor problem and continued ask if everything was ok each time she saw us. Rooms clean and roomy, beds comfortable would stay again if ever in Amsterdam and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks! Transportation from airport is a little pricey (taxi for 4 ..70-100 euros depending on traffic ) but once you are there no need to use again.

I booked a river view room, the river view is very beautiful, open the window, you will feel the world is very beautiful! This is a small hotel, by the canal, the room area is not big, it is a small sparrow, it has all the internal organs, anyway, the facilities are not new, the toilet is relatively simple, it can only be considered barely acceptable. . The uncle at the front desk was pretty good, and I couldn't see it on the TV. There is nothing else to say. When I stayed at 1,000 yuan a night, the price/performance ratio was not high compared to the youth hostel I stayed in later.

We booked a little 3 night trip to Amsterdam. Starting on October 16th We love the city it’s our third time visiting. We struggled to find a hotel as it’s seems to be a busy time but stumbled across the hotel Pagi Sadly due to a death on our plane we arrived very late and reception was closed so they kindly have us a digital code to get into the hotel and to our room. We stayed in room 102 which is the closet room to reception. The room is so small it had the smallest single beds I have every seen. The walls are terrible stained with what looks like tea and coffe being spilt. The bathroom was like a well decorated cupboard but had the most awful smell like raw sewage. But being that it was gone midnight when we arrived and no staff around we just tried to get some sleep. The beds are like concrete and the constant noise of people coming and going banging doors kept us awake all night. We got up early and managed to book into another hotel which we had stayed at on a previous trip. We spoke to a chap on reception who told us he couldn’t arrange a refund for the remainder of our trip as there wasn’t a manager around. So have us an email to contact. I have emailed twice now but no response. I would avoid this hotel unless you are wanting a hostel type stay and don’t mind awful smells and a really hard bed. If someone from the hotel reads this could you please check you emails and have the courtesy of replying to my emails.

Great location and no complaints! We paid 450 euro for 3 nights room only but it is in agreat location and tbh we couldn't fault it. Its got all mod cons including a mini fridge and hair dresser hairdyer with nozzle. There's face soap, shampoo, conditioner. Rooms are really nice and a good size. We only had drinks at the bar, staff were very nice and the receptionist was great at check in. It's right beside Dam Sq and there's supermarkets, bars and restaurants all around. Prime location for everything. We would definitely return.

We stayed here for 2 nights during Christmas. We arrived early morning left are bags and went out for the day. The receptionist helped us to our bags and was very friendly. The location is the best part about this hotel as it’s walking distance to everything you need. The room we booked was small double so was nice and tiny as expected and had every thing you need. We had few issues in the night as at around 12:30 receptionist knocked our door asking our name which was bit scary as we were tired and sleeping and left saying sorry may be he got wrong room. The second night we had fire alarm ring at about 5am and the Wi-Fi stopped working all night which put us bit down.
