When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

What we love - its central location, cleanliness, a lot of food choices during breakfast buffet, heated pool. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right around the corner from Nanjing Road and the central shopping area where you can walk down and hit the Bund or Wai Tan. I got upgraded to a suite, and it was lovely, very clean with a very comfortable bed. I used the gym as well, which is very important for me, they have a fantastic gym, with lots of space and new facilities! It is a well-run, very comfortable hotel, worth the stay.

Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel. One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty. Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

A clean hotel with very generous space in the room—I was upgraded for free which was a nice touch. The Rosemary toiletries, huge shower and tub, Nespresso machine, and free mini bar were all appreciated. The view (I was on the 9th floor) wasn’t the best but overall the room was excellent. I would definitely stay there again!

Great location to visit the Bund, Yun Garden and City God Temple anytime. Booked the family suite room as a first timer. The room has two beds, enough space for up to 4 person and a living room. Room facing Landmark view (a sculpture). Top notch bidet toilet bowl, automatic closure and opening plus heating of the pad. Down side is the room was stuffy and hot during cold season. Heating system is centralised and the most the hotel staff can do is to provide an additional fan in the room to help with the ventilation. Presume this will the problem of most hotel who use centralised heating/cooling system. Staff is accommodating when you ask for their help. Standard of service is acceptable for me.

Overall a disappointing experience for several reasons. I’m not one who usually writes negative reviews or makes lists of issues when I stay at hotels, but there were a few that were difficult to ignore: 1. I stayed on Christmas Eve because we were having the hotel’s brunch the next day. I thought I would have a nice, relaxing morning to wake up and get ready, but instead was awoken to construction work out in the hallway—drilling and hammering that were incredibly loud. Furthermore, the whole room was then filled with the STRONGEST, AWFUL smell of burning plastic that I had ever smelt. Because none of the windows in the room could open, I had to suffer through the smell and try to ready as quickly as possible…not a pleasant way to wake up! 2. The bathroom just wasn’t clean. There were urine and possible blood stains on the toilet seat and floor that I had to wipe away when I first arrived to the room. Cleaning services should do a better job to check the toilet surfaces when cleaning. 3. It’s December and the middle of a cold snap in Shanghai, but for some reason the room was unbearably hot and stuffy. I turned off the heating and even tried to turn on the cold AC but the temperature remained the same. It was difficult to sleep because of how hot and sweaty I was. The windows couldn’t be opened so I couldn’t even get a fresh breeze…

The staff kindly gave us a Mingzhu tower view for our 2nd night here - it was a tough request but they made it happen! Thank you Jay! Location: 5/5. Located directly on Nanjing road where all the food stops and only 12 minutes walking distance to the Bund! Food: 10/5 The breakfast selection here is SUPERB. They have cold dishes like salad, hot food such as noodles and pan fried buns and local snacks such as fried rice cubes (?) Ci fan gao. I booked this hotel stay to celebrate my mums 65th birthday and the hotel staff are so sweet and organised a beautiful chocolate cake for us. Honestly, this hotel is fabulous and is worth your money!

One major stand out amongst the employees was Alisa. my check in was not only handled professionally, but also very attentive to details. This hotel accept foreigners definitely no issues with check in and check out. The location of hotel is great but still need travel 30min to 60min to the place that I visit like zhujiajiao yu yuan and maybe closer one is the bund. Front counter staff are approachable. For order car services they usually won't provide. They don't know exact step for order didi for foreigner. Quite troublesome for them. U better own a local sim card. Their shower and body shampoo are excellent and the water pressure are good and supere.toilet and toiletry provided an very clean. The toilet don't have proper privacy for family or friends as the glassdoor are transparent and visible see u shower or doing bisnuss. Iron board and iron provided I regret never bring along my hair dryer.but they do provide. Breakfast are okay but the soya bean curb made me don't dare to eat bean curb anymore.

very modern hotel with an own bar just right in front of a big shopping mall. Hotel is really clean and one of the most modern places I have seen in China so far. Location is a little bit hard to find but if you get to the place you wont be disappointed.its pretty well connected to the city center just o front of the shopping mall is a metro station. Staff speaks chinese and english and is really helpful. the hotel has even an own bar and a small terrace for sitting. I remember having there a good time and I would always when i come back to Shanghai stay there again.

I was astonished by the exterior when I first arrived at Ôpartment. It has a sense of history in the building, surrounded by popular spots for city walk. My family and I were greeted by a fellow young man who offered to help our struggling hands with our luggage. Walking into the hotel, we encounter the modern looks of the lobby. By the registration counter, there is a table with coffee and cups for us to take away. I really liked the organisers at the back of the registration counter that holds room keys in each box. Going up the lift to our designated floor, the elevator door opened up to a gate, one that would remind me of the olden days, of Harry Potter, even. To gain access, we simply swipe our card at the side of the gate. It seemed as pets are allowed, we saw three dogs playing around at the hallway. It doesn’t smell bad so it didn’t bother us. The hotel room is very spacious and clean. There were magazines about the hotel, television, a kitchen with plates and bowls and utensils, a comfy bed, and of course the bathroom. As it is my birthday this April, a kind sister called Vicky who works there brought me a cheese cake. It was quite surprising to come back to the room to see a cake by the table. It was sliced into three pieces, just the right size for my mum, dad and I. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night. While my mother checked-out our room, I observed the notebook they left on the table to the left of the registration counter. There was a mirror in front of the notebook, and a pen beside it. It is a notebook left for guests to write and draw on. I asked the staff if I could bring it up to the top floor, a bar with pretty interior designs, to draw on the notebook. So I did. The bar was probably closed, or maybe it is more popular by night, since there were nobody there except for one man who I guess works there. There were many wine bottles and flowers, plus a balcony with great view. I drew on two pages of the notebook, taking my time as they allow me to. When I went back down to show them my proudly done work, the staffs were all excited and shocked to the point they snapped pictures and even gave me a notebook of the same design as a souvenir. At last, we had to part and say goodbye. When the car that is supposed to pick us up arrived, two or three of the staffs (noticeably all of them are pretty young) helped us with our luggage and carried it to the car for us. I’ll have to say, this is one of the most unique hotel I’ve ever been to!

The hotel is very Mini, and the rooms are also Mini, but the hygiene is good and the basic facilities are there. The elevator runs very quietly and is equipped with a smart toilet. The hot water is very fast and the bathroom is larger. However, I asked the front desk for toiletries in advance. After washing my hair, I found that there were no A comb brings success and failure with it. The front desk service is okay. Breakfast is not provided by the hotel. It cooperates with the nearby snack shop and gives out 20 yuan breakfast coupons. If you are not full and exceed the limit, you will have to pay for it, but it is basically unnecessary because the snack shop is small and dark, the noodles are hard and unpalatable, the service is poor, and the hotel Customers cannot eat first. The hotel is suitable for a short-term stay (1-2 days), and the price/performance ratio is average. After all, it is in a bustling area. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. But breakfast is free!

Hotel is very close to subway station (80m) from gate 1 or 3, walking distance or 1 subway station away from many iconic tourist attractions and eateries. Staffs were very friendly and attentive, we were only staying for 1 nights, but requested hotel reception to take our parcels a few days before our arrival, so we can pick up our stuffs at our last stop and they were happy to help, thank you. Hotel also provided kid slipper and toothbrush upon request, gave our girl favourite pinky colour pack. Hotel itself were transformed from old building, but noted it was newly renovated and vintage looking from outside, but modern amenities inside, also have modern automated toilets (like Japanese hotels). Will definitely recommend family or other visitors to stay here. The only minor downside is too few seats for buffet breakfast, we were asked to squeezed in with a few other people, but still acceptable, staffs cleaned the table very quickly and find the seats for us within 5 minutes.

The location is a big plus as it is near metro and also the hotel is at Nanjing Road, People’s Square, close to The Bund and other places. My itinerary started around 2pm. I arrived Shanghai at 11am from Pudong Airport. ＞ Nanjing Road ＞ The Bund ＞ Yu Yuan Garden ＞ Shanghai Old Town Then went back to roam around. Found Cathedrals along the way (not sure of the names) ＞ Around 7pm I joined the Tour Bus which is 40RMB for 40minutes and will take you to the other side where the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower located. You can see them upclose. The receptionist was helpful on my checked-out day as she helped me to call a taxi to my next destination. The only downside of this hotel is the cleanliness of the room and corridor. I found a hair on my bed, even inside the duvet. Under the table was so dusty. Toothpick at the corridor. Which I believe can improve next time. :) All in all. It’s a great hotel and great location.

I booked 4 nights in Dec2023. As it was winter, the entire hotel's aircon cooling system was turned off and switched to heating mode. There is no cooling mode in all the rooms. We were unfamiliar with the aircon settings and this resulted in our room becoming hot as a sauna. We slept on top of our blankets and were drenched in sweat in the middle of the night. Luckily for the 24 hours front desk, we called for help at 2am. They were cheerful and responsive and even sent someone up to our room and brought us a fan to circulate the air. And when an empty room was available the next day, they gave us an upgrade to a larger room with a much better air circulation. Despite paying only a fraction of the price of a big brand hotel (like Hyatt, Marriott or ), the service we received at JinJiang is on par or better. All the staff speak English and are attentive and eager to please. If things go wrong, let them know and give them a chance to rectify. I highly recommend this hotel for the excellent location and impeccable service. Thank you JinJiang Metropolo hotel for making my stay in Shanghai so enjoyable despite having almost no sleep the first two nights. All your staff from the front desk, doorman, bar waiter and room attendant scored very high marks! Great job! Special thanks to 小雷 for helping us with the aircon and room change. Thanks! 小雷

It is convenient but it is a struggle for those who do not read chinese.
