NH Collection Budapest City Center

This hotel is situated in the city centre which has everything you may need close by. I was given so many complimentary benefits such as: - Early Check In/Late Check Out - 15% Discount In Hotel Services - Free Room Upgrade (From Standard Studio To 2 Bedroom Penthouse Apartment) - Complimentary Bottle Of Champagne With A Welcome Letter Big shoutout to Robert & Emese for ensuring my stay was superb from check in to check out. The staff always greeting me when seeing me at reception, which really made me feel welcome by giving me the V.I.P treatment. As for the two bedroom penthouse apartment, I was really impressed from the modern interior to how spacious the apartment was, as I originally booked for a studio room. I was allocated on the 8th floor which was the highest floor in the building. I had a balcony upstairs in my bedroom and downstairs in the living room where I can enjoy the morning views each day. The bathrooms in both rooms had nice aesthetics and was very spacious. You literally all the apartments amenities you may need from a washing machine to fridge to a stove and oven. For the spa absolutely amazing. It had a igloo concept of a design which was different but I loved it. Throughout the spa complex you can feel your presence noticed as I was greeted by every staff. The spa is situated on the other side of the hotel which is connected to their sister brand hotel Anantara New York Palace Budapest. Positives: Within the city centre, modern design, good amenities, great customer service. They have everything you may need for both business and leisure. Negatives: No smart TV, breakfast isn’t really spoilt for choice but it’s okay. Recommend going once and going elsewhere for the other days, such as the new york cafe which is next door or cafe ciruksz if you want a full English type breakfast. Thank You NH Collection - Budapest City Center for having me and your service was impeccable. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Danubius Hotel Astoria City Center

The only good things I will say about this “hotel” is that the location was great and the beds were comfortable. Other than that, we did not have a good experience here. We paid for a “Superior Junior Room” because it is supposedly the nicer part of the hotel, with newly renovated rooms. When we checked in to our room, we noticed there was some dirt on the floor, a hair on my bed, but most importantly, a lot of water coming up from the floor. We called downstairs because it seemed like the room was flooded. They sent up a housekeeper who mopped up the floor, and reception told us that it was probably that the last person who stayed there spilled a water bottle (this felt fishy because hasn’t someone cleaned the rooms in between guests?) But, we dropped it because they said that there were no rooms for us to switch into. I go to take a shower after a long day of traveling, and two minutes in I see that water is seeping from my closed shower and all over the bathroom floor because the drain is not draining and there is nowhere for the water to go. I get out of the shower, shampoo still in my hair, and see that the entire bathroom floor is covered in about an inch of water. When I leave the bathroom, there is even more water seeping from the floorboards in the bedroom. I call downstairs, they are apologetic but say that there is nothing they can do except switch us into another room after breakfast the next morning. So, the next day, we have to take time out of our plans of seeing the city to pack up our things and move rooms in the middle of the afternoon. The man at the reception didn’t even seem to know what we were talking about when we said that we were told to switch rooms that afternoon. This kind of disorganization was a theme of our entire stay. We were hopeful about a new room, but every single time we took a shower that lasted more than a minute, the drain didn’t work and water would flood the bathroom floor. When we called downstairs to tell them that it had happened to us again, they just told us to go downstairs and get towels to clean it up ourselves. When my friend went downstairs to get extra towels, the man at reception told him that this was normal for the bathrooms in the new “Superior” rooms. ***? So, we just had to live with flooding and cleaning up our bathroom every time we wanted to take a shower because the drains were not functional AT ALL. Such a disappointing stay, especially because this is such a highly rated hotel and it wasn’t cheap. The people downstairs were extremely unhelpful and the hotel is clearly understaffed. Seriously, save your money and book somewhere else. (The pictures are screenshots from videos that I took, unfortunately Trip Advisor won’t let me upload videos. But you can see the water coming up from the floor in the bedroom and that in the bathroom the entire floor was flooded with water.)

Hotel room is OK, but the cleaning is not enough. Some places have obvious dust, the hotel breakfast is good, clean and refreshing Western breakfast, the hotel location is also good, it is convenient to take the road.

Magnificent hotel located in the center and with the best prices. Super attentive staff: from 24 hour reception to breakfast staff. Everyone is super friendly and always willing to help you with anything. I would definitely repeat

What a lovely stay! Stopped here for 3 nights with my partner in December. We got there early hours of the morning and were quickly checked in to our lovely room, exactly as the pictures show, high ceiling, clean, tidy, cosy and connection to Netflix which was a nice extra! The staff were all really helpful upon our stay, especially when I had forgot my charging adapter and iron, nothing was too much trouble. The location was ideal walking distance to restaurants, bars, the centre, shops, we got the shuttle to and from the airport which took us to Astoria, which is a 5 min walk to the hotel for only £5 per person return. I would highly recommend and would happily stop here again. This was first stay in Hungary and would love to return, thank you 😊

Very good medical checkup, the hotel staff is very friendly, my luggage is delayed, and I have been helping to contact the airport for baggage delivery. The location of the hotel is very good. It is a crossroads from the airport bus arrival point. There is a station downstairs for easy travel. The hotel also gave a bottle of white wine and it tasted good.
