"Location is great. Literally 5 min walk to Jinli street and 8 min walk to Wuhou temple. Subway station right outside the hotel and many restaurants next to and across the street. The front desk has an iPad for translation so no worries if you don’t speak Chinese. The hotel is beautifully decorated in traditional Chinese appearance, and at night there is free soup and tea in the lobby. The only con is the hallways are older and you can hear noises from guest rooms clearly in the hallway, but once inside the room you can’t really hear neighbors. Overall a great stay and well worth the price."

"I absolutely have to give the Kempinski Hotel Chengdu a five-star review! My entire stay, from start to finish, was filled with pleasant surprises and wonderful experiences. The front desk staff were polite and professional, and they thoughtfully upgraded my room during check-in 🧡. The room design was both modern and cozy, especially the comfortable large bed and the L-shaped dark green sofa, which instantly helped me relax. The bathroom setup was also superb; the freestanding bathtub and marble vanity were perfect for photos, with quality evident in every detail. The hotel's dining was equally impressive. Breakfast was very plentiful, and they even had freshly baked mini egg tarts. Enjoying a rich breakfast in such a warm environment set a wonderful tone for the entire day's journey. What impressed me most was how the hotel perfectly blended local characteristics with luxurious service. The giant panda plushie leaning against a wooden barrel in the lobby was absolutely adorable and instantly captured my heart. It perfectly combines Chengdu's charm with Kempinski's usual elegant style—a fantastic spot for photos! This stay, from the hardware facilities to the soft services, truly allowed me to experience the true meaning of ”Hotel Experts since 1897.” Thank you to the hotel for their dedication, which made my trip to Chengdu feel like I had a perfect ”home.” I highly recommend it to all friends visiting Chengdu~"

"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is within walking distance to a couple of Metro stations, as well as a few of the local attractions. There are a number of restaurants and coffee shops in the area. The room was spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. It was very quiet which led to a good nights sleep. I’d be happy to stay here again if visiting the city."

"Service: The boss is very good, landing after two o'clock, call after the designated location, and pick it up in a few minutes, especially fast. The boss changed a big room and helped to move two particularly heavy boxes upstairs. Thank you so much. Environment: very quiet, although near the airport, there is almost no noise, eating around is also very convenient Facilities: Complete disposable items, shower (although we didn't use it), heated toilet Hygienic: Especially clean, out of habit of wiping the toilet and towel rack, there is no dust and dirty things, the bed is very clean. At first I saw that the room may have been a long time. Some places have similar traces of aging. After the result, I found that the boss's hygiene was particularly in place and I liked it very much."

"Orange hotel is perfectly located for exploring Chengdu and the alley and within walking distance to Peoples park and metro. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy pick up for Didi. The panda touches were so perfect. Safe choice with no surprises. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Decent breakfast with mostly local flavors. We recommend!"

"You absolutely have to come for the delicious and abundant breakfast alone – the food is just too tempting! I've never had such rich, creamy milk at any other hotel. If you're feeling hungry, grab another bowl of 'boboji' (Sichuan stringed delicacies). Even if your appetite isn't great, the milk, eggs, tea eggs, and pickles will surely energize you for the day. The rooms are always tidied up for you, making them cozy and comfortable. I stayed for over half a month and was extremely satisfied. Highly recommended!"

"The ladies at the reception are all great, welcoming us with a smile & served us well, explained everything so well. Really appreciate that some of them speaks English, as we’ve problem with other hotels in smaller towns. Will be staying there again on our next trip for sure. Great view from our room too. "Recently had the pleasure of staying at Dorsett hotel and overall, it was a great experience. The hotel, though a bit on the older side, is very clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job, cleaning the room every day and ensuring that all amenities were topped up, which really added to the comfort of our stay. One of the highlights was the excellent service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, from check-in to check-out. They made sure we had everything we needed, and even upgraded our room, which was a lovely surprise. While the hotel could use a little modernization, the quality of service and attention to cleanliness definitely made up for it. If you're looking for a comfortable, hassle-free stay with great service, I highly recommend Dorsett hotel. Would definitely return!"

"The hotel's location is a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. It's incredibly close to Chunxi Road, just a few minutes' walk away. I booked a family room, and it was spacious enough, completely smoke-free, and very quiet. There was even a desk where the kids could dutifully do a couple pages of homework, 😈 – fully equipped for families. The hotel service was excellent. We particularly loved the laundry pickup and delivery service, which saved us so much time washing and drying clothes, allowing us to head out and enjoy ourselves easily. The lobby's guest relations manager was very warm and friendly. The front desk staff also attentively responded to our needs. The hotel's efficiency is impressive. I must also mention the hotel's breakfast; it offered a wide variety of options. If you're short on time, you can try many local snacks right there at the hotel."
