Hotels in Chunxi Road Commercial Area, Chengdu

This is our second stay within a week (after 2 nights at Jiuzhaigou). When we returned, it’s comforting to be greeted warmly by Xiao Zhang at the reception again (he checked us in one our first stay). Although the staff are on shifts and we met different people each day, everyone showed the same level of friendliness and helpfulness. We enjoyed a free upgrade again and loved the room with modern decor, and opportunity to wash our clothes before heading out again. We’re convinced that Sungold is the perfect base to explore Chengdu and other attractions in Sichuan. We’re off to Dujiangyan and Qingchen, and will be back here again for another 2 nights!

This stay was great! The front desk lady was very friendly and check-in was quick. She patiently answered all our questions. The room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. The location is also convenient, close to shopping and dining. The breakfast had a great variety of both Western and Chinese dishes, and I noticed a lot of international guests during meal times. Overall, a fantastic experience, no regrets! I'd choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommend!

This is my second time in Chengdu in half a month, this time for Luo Yunxi's concert. To enjoy Chengdu's delicious food, I chose this hotel in Chunxi Road. I got an upgrade to a night view room, and the balcony overlooks the famous 3D panda screen. The aroma of the essential oil shower gel at night was amazing; after having hotpot for lunch, I could shower with the essential oil to get rid of the smell and then go see Luo Yunxi looking fresh and fragrant! 🥰 The hotel's robot delivery service was very convenient for me, as I wanted to try everything but have a small appetite. Chunxi Road is surrounded by long-established and original restaurants. On the last day, I ordered all the dishes I hadn't tried, like Lao Ma Ti Hua and Chengdu Maocai, and had them delivered to the hotel to sample one by one – it was delightful! When checking out, the front desk even gave me a panda plushie. I had a wonderful time this trip. P.S. After leaving the Wuliangye venue, you can just cross the road and use an app to call a taxi back to the city center. Late at night, the driver sped us back to the hotel entrance in just over 20 minutes. Choosing a five-star hotel in the city center is definitely much more comfortable than hotels 1-2 kilometers walking distance from the venue.

Excellent location, just a short walk from Chunxi Road subway station, nestled in the Wan Sheng Street alley. It's super close to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li for shopping, and great for snapping a photo with the climbing panda. The staff are very welcoming and always happy to help. The room has an older, wooden style, but it's quite spacious and roomy, with a convenient wet and dry separation in the bathroom. There's no view from the window, just the residential alley. The amenities are a bit dated, nothing smart or modern. My only minor complaint is that the hairdryer's fan speed is very, very weak.

Really enjoyed our stay in the top floor suite with an amazing view overlooking Taikoo Li and the skyline. The location is perfect for a short visit, with Taikoo Li just outside, making it very easy to walk around. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, responding to our requests and questions instantly, they even helped us fill up the bathtub/pool while we were out so it was ready upon our return! Also loved the projector screen to watch tv. Many amenities like snacks, towels, robes, slippers were also provided. Overall, I highly recommend and would definitely return!

The experience at the Ji Hotel Xiaoshanqing is a prime example of transforming Eastern 'local wisdom' into contemporary living aesthetics. The hotel uses Zen tea fragrance as an invisible spatial guide; its scent is not a single linear note but a complex layering with a fresh top note and a warm base, echoing the tactile system of Xuan paper, bamboo weaving, and raw hemp indoors, creating an immersive five-sensory experience. The smart room control system goes beyond simple functional operation, embodying the Eastern philosophy of 'concealment.' All panels are cleverly embedded into the original wooden walls, only revealing themselves when needed. The 'one-touch call' design is particularly thoughtful; upon pressing, the front desk simultaneously receives the room number and the type of request (e.g., 'amenities,' 'cleaning'), achieving precise service without words. The breakfast's craftsmanship lies in its respect for time and water. The white congee, slow-cooked for 90 minutes with Northeast Wuchang rice and Nongfu Spring water, allows the rice grains to fully release their starch in a constant-temperature earthenware pot, resulting in a porridge as smooth as jade dew. The accompanying freshly ground non-GMO soy milk from Beidahuang, made with a low-temperature grinding process, retains the authentic soybean aroma to the greatest extent and offers a choice of black or yellow soybeans, aligning with the principles of seasonal wellness. Most touching is the check-out amenity. The custom Zen tea spray extends the peaceful memory of the stay, while the air cushion comb's tooth spacing is designed for Asian hair types, and its wooden handle perfectly fits the palm. This souvenir transcends a mere object, becoming a portable and lasting sensory memento, perfectly interpreting the profound meaning of 'feeling at home and continuing the companionship upon departure' in Eastern hospitality.

Overall we had a pleasant stay. Location is good, not too far or near the hustle bustle. Self service laundry was good before our long journey to Tibet/ Xi Zhang, and thumbs up to hotel staff who hhelped to hang those clothes we left inside the dryer past times by less than half hour. This stay exceeded my expectations; the overall experience was incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and find food. The lobby is clean and tidy, and the front desk staff are warm and polite. Check-in was fast, and they patiently answered all my questions, showing great attention to detail in their service. The room was spotless and free of any odors. The bedding was soft and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a long journey. The bathroom had a good wet/dry separation, stable hot water supply, and quality toiletries. The room had good natural light and ventilation, and the soundproofing was effective, ensuring a quiet night's sleep without any noise disturbances, leading to excellent rest quality. The facilities were well-maintained, and the Wi-Fi speed was stable. Public areas were clean and elegant, with regular cleaning by staff. Breakfast offered a rich variety of options and tasted great, allowing guests to choose according to their preferences. It offers excellent value for money, suitable for both short trips and business stays. I didn't encounter any issues during my entire stay; everything from the service to the amenities showed the hotel's dedication. Next time I'm in the area, I'll prioritize this hotel again and highly recommend it to friends planning a trip!

🧻Hygiene: The round desk by the bed wasn't wiped clean, and there was moss/mold in the overflow drain of the bathroom sink, which was a bit off-putting. Other areas were fine, and the public spaces were good. 🛁Facilities: The hairdryer was in a bag in the closet/dressing area, so I had to look for it. There's a smart toilet. The air conditioning was a bit noisy at night, and the windows couldn't be opened. Only one side of the bed had controls for the sheer and blackout curtains, making it a bit inconvenient to adjust from the other side. 🧊Environment: It's very close to Taikoo Li, about a seven to eight-minute walk. The small road at the entrance is one-way and a bit narrow. The lobby on the first floor looked a bit dated and had a slight musty smell, but the main lobby was good. The room temperature was comfortable, and there were no strange odors. 👤Service: The minibar was very generously stocked with two types of Tea π, two types of Oriental Leaf tea, sugar-free Coke, Sprite, soda water, etc., which was a nice touch. Turndown service was already done when we entered the room. Lyra Lu, who handled check-in, patiently explained all the benefits of our booking. Xiaopeng and Xiaoyang, who handled check-out, were very enthusiastic and left a great impression. I'd be willing to stay here again. 🍽️Dining: I only experienced breakfast. The egg pancakes were good, and the Chinese food station had Dandan noodles and wontons, which were decent. Nothing else was particularly special. One area of the breakfast room is shared with the lounge. I didn't experience the lounge during afternoon tea or happy hour, so I'm not sure what it's like. I peeked in as I walked by, and it seemed to mainly offer fruit and soft drinks; I didn't check if the small snacks were the same as those at breakfast. 💬Summary: There are many room types, which was a bit confusing. The 'Zun Di' (尊邸) corresponds to executive. We arrived late and got an upgrade from a Zun Di room to a Zun Di Lang Yu Premium Landmark View (possibly), which faced Taikoo Li and had a good view. Unfortunately, I didn't get to fully enjoy the view of Taikoo Li when it was crowded and lit up from the room. We could also see the 339 TV Tower from the window. A slight disappointment was that even though it's the tallest hotel in Chengdu, there's still a relatively tall building in front of the window, so it doesn't stand out significantly from the surrounding architecture. Having been open for 5 years, some facilities feel a bit dated, which might be due to the climate.

Cosy hotel and staff are so friendly and helpful!! Love the water pressure in the shower too. But, it will be good if the shower glasses are tinted or blur off, so that another person can use the toilet, if urgent, and will not see the other person bathing too. 😅 thank you to all the staff and the lugg tag gift! About 8 mins walk to Chunxi, IFS and Taikoo Li shopping places. Many eateries around the hotel, and one 打卡 hotpot alley just beside our hotel!
