Hotels in Chunxi Road Commercial Area, Chengdu

The pictures from this place are well taken! The building is quite in need of renovation and the lifts don't look in the best shape at all. In our bedroom, the shower was leaking both from the shower head and from the tiles through the toilet and so was the air-conditioning - it kept dripping water in the middle of the room all night long. For the washing /drying machine theres only one of each, so it's constantly busy; I've used once and my clothes were taken off from the washer while someone else got their clothes to wash and dry. So far in my experience the hotel staff would take care of ”moving the queue” during the night and get the drying done for you/ moving clothes to dry/ removing from dryer but in the morning my clothes were back in the washing machine, still wet. Breakfast was ok. The bed was comfortable. The mini room is actually tiny and there's not a single shelf where you can put your stuff: we had two small backpacks and didn't manage so if you have luggage don't book this room. The view from the rooftop was actually amazing and the location was also super! So this isn't a horrible place but improvement can be made :)

Excellent Stay for Families Visiting Chengdu This was our first family trip to Chengdu and our first visit to China, and we had a wonderful stay at this apartment. We were travelling as a family of four, including an elderly family member, and the apartment suited our needs perfectly. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout provided plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The beds were soft and comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, the blackout curtains were effective, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. After long days of exploring Chengdu, it was always a pleasure to return to the apartment and relax. We were able to recharge and enjoy a good night’s sleep every evening. The location was another major highlight. It is conveniently located near IFS, Taikoo Li, and the metro station, making it easy to get around the city. There are also many restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and pharmacies within walking distance. We especially enjoyed having access to authentic local food nearby without needing to travel far. The staff were incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. They promptly addressed my concerns before our departure and provided useful guidance during our time in Chengdu. Don’t judge a book by its cover. While the exterior may appear modest, the apartment itself exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, convenience, and value. We would definitely recommend this property to families and travellers visiting Chengdu and would happily stay here again on our next trip.

I highly recommend Mercure Chengdu Chunxi. The entire staff is incredibly warm and friendly, making for an exceptional service experience. The front desk attendant was gentle and kind, genuinely sincere and polite. Not only did they swiftly handle check-in and check-out, but they also thoughtfully planned out sightseeing routes, recommended local eateries and attractions, and patiently answered all my travel questions. During my stay, they proactively brought thoughtful small gifts and fresh fruit. They also went above and beyond to help with requests like luggage assistance and late check-out. The staff consistently paid attention to detail, providing enthusiastic service without being perfunctory. The whole experience felt incredibly comfortable and welcoming, with no sense of detachment. The value for money is outstanding; it's the perfect place to stay when visiting Chengdu.

My stay at the Chengdu Lynn International Hotel truly exceeded my expectations. I originally booked it for its convenient location near IFS and Taikoo Li, but from the moment I stepped into the lobby, the experience was far better than I anticipated. First, what impressed me most was the environment and ambiance. The hotel's exterior is modern and simple, but the interior cleverly incorporates elements of Shu culture. The public areas are adorned with panda plushies and various art pieces, creating a quiet yet stylish atmosphere. Our room, located on a non-smoking floor, was spacious and bright. The bedding was soft and dry, the curtains provided excellent blackout, and the soundproofing was very effective. I have to specifically praise the staff's service. From the front desk to the room attendants, everyone greeted us with a smile and was eager to help. Their genuine and unforced enthusiasm made us feel very comfortable. The biggest bonus of this stay was the complimentary lacquer fan making activity offered by the hotel. In the afternoon, a teacher in the lobby patiently guided the children in mixing lacquer and painting fan surfaces. I initially thought it would be a casual activity, but the finished products turned out to be surprisingly elegant and traditional. Once dry, they carried a subtle lacquer scent, making for a unique souvenir and a perfect cooling accessory for subsequent days of sightseeing – fanning ourselves with our handmade fans while strolling through Taikoo Li definitely got us some admiring glances. Equally heartwarming was the complimentary afternoon tea upon check-in. It was peak summer, and after a full day of sightseeing, we were hot. Returning to the hotel, we enjoyed afternoon tea and pastries, complete with chilled 'Bingfen' (ice jelly) and 'Guilinggao' (herbal jelly) along with thoughtful toppings. The hotel's attentiveness truly earned a perfect score from me. Finally, the location is absolutely 'top-notch.' An 8-minute walk to the left leads directly to IFS, with that famous climbing panda practically at your doorstep.

Really enjoyed our stay in the top floor suite with an amazing view overlooking Taikoo Li and the skyline. The location is perfect for a short visit, with Taikoo Li just outside, making it very easy to walk around. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, responding to our requests and questions instantly, they even helped us fill up the bathtub/pool while we were out so it was ready upon our return! Also loved the projector screen to watch tv. Many amenities like snacks, towels, robes, slippers were also provided. Overall, I highly recommend and would definitely return!

The hotel’s biggest advantage is its excellent location. It’s within walking distance of Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road, making it very convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring Chengdu. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the lighting was quite dim, and there were mirrors everywhere, which gave it a bit of a “love hotel” vibe. Because of the design, I think it’s more suitable for couples than for solo travelers or friends traveling together. Overall, it’s a good choice if location is your top priority, but the room design may not appeal to everyone.

Please excuse the messy room; after a five-day stay, it hadn't been cleaned. (It was my own laziness in not requesting cleaning, not the hotel's fault.) Pros: It's a 6-minute walk to Chunxi Road subway station, and across the overpass is the bustling outer edge of the Chunxi Road commercial area, offering plenty of shopping. Right downstairs is a local Hongqi chain convenience store, making shopping convenient and prices normal. Across from the hotel, there's a popular hotpot restaurant, a traditional breakfast shop, and a fruit stand—very convenient. Cons: The room was dim; the shower didn't work well, and the shower space was cramped. The cleanliness was just average, especially during the last two days when I woke up with itchy skin, and I'm not sure why. Overall: Very good value for money, and the front desk was responsive. I would recommend staying here. My suggestion is for them to be a bit more thorough with the cleaning.

Steven at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is ideally located in Chengdu's Chunxi Road commercial area, offering fantastic views of Taikoo Li and the 339 Panda Tower from its panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. It's great value for money for both business and leisure travelers, and guests get free parking in the underground garage.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hard 5/5! As a girl travelling solo for the first time, I felt very safe staying and had a lot of fun. Even though it’s a hostel, the environment was comfortable and welcoming. One thing I really appreciated was the international power outlets, which was a huge plus for me. The hostel also offers transportation services to certain attractions and activities, making it very convenient for travellers. The location is excellent — being right next to Chunxi Road meant I could easily explore the city, try local food, and enjoy the area on foot. A special shoutout to the front desk staff, who were incredibly friendly and always happy to recommend places to visit. Their English was excellent as well, which made communication very easy. I would highly recommend this hostel to international travellers. If I visit Chengdu again, I would definitely choose to stay here again! ❤️✨

We travelled all over Chengdu and now for the last stop in the city area, we have chosen a apartment style because there is a washer/dryer within the room for our laundry! Of course, thats not the only pro about this place. Location is great being right in the centre of the city district, its really near to the metro which unfortunately we did not try as the taxi here is really really cheap! There is Takooli just across the road for your luxury needs and you can get really great shots with the modern vs ancient backdrop. You can also just book a Didi right in front of the building which is really convenient for us. Moving on to the room itself, the suite is spacious with a living room/mini kitchen/laundry and the bedroom with a attached toilet/shower room. Interior is really nice and the equipment like the coffee machine or the washer are of big brands. I see mixed reviews of the hot water shower running out before you are done. However, I did not encounter this problem and I do take longer than usual showers. In general, I find this a very pleasant stay and would definitely return if I am dropping by Chengdu again.
