GGuest UserYou might be a little worried if you don't know how to check in until the last minute, and if you don't speak English or Chinese. When I arrived, the owner was very kind and helped me with a lot of things. The kitchen window was wide open, so it was a little cold inside the building, and the bunk beds had no curtains, so there was no private space at all, but aside from that, the environment was very good. There were people always occupying the living room and sofa, which are shared spaces, and I'm not sure if they were tourists or related people, but you might find it a little uncomfortable. There were no particular cleaning rules, which are common in dormitories, and the check-out time was arbitrary, which was nice, so I felt it was a laid-back place that was typical of Chengdu.

MM23un748g****I traveled to Chengdu alone and booked this women's hostel. I stayed for two nights and had a fantastic experience. The transportation is quite convenient; it's a bit of a walk from the subway station but not far, and it's very close to Wenshu Monastery, making it easy to get anywhere. The only thing was that it was a bit hard to find at first; I searched for a long time. I thought it was on a main street, but it turned out to be in a commercial building within a residential complex, haha. Once inside, the environment was absolutely wonderful. There's a living room, and the first floor is a large, comfortable, and very clean common area. In the evenings, they even put on TV shows for everyone to watch together on the sofa! The second floor has the rooms, a study area, and paid washing machines and dryers. I was particularly impressed with how incredibly clean the bathrooms were – absolutely spotless and no odors! Plus, all toilets have disposable seat covers and disinfectant. The front desk service was also excellent and thoughtful. There's even a group chat where you can find travel companions. My roommates were all great and didn't disturb each other, and the rooms were generally very quiet. Each room and personal locker has a lock, and you need a card to enter. The room hygiene was very well maintained, and the facilities were complete. However, from my personal experience, the mattress was a bit thin and tended to sink, making it not very comfortable to sleep on. But the duvet was incredibly soft and thick, which I absolutely loved, haha. Also, there were thoughtful tips posted in the common areas, which was very human-centered. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. I feel it's a perfect choice for women traveling solo. I had an incredibly pleasant trip to Chengdu here. These are my honest feelings, and I hope they can help anyone planning a trip to Chengdu and wondering where to stay! 😚

GGuest UserWhat a delightful experience! I originally planned to stay for just one night, but after arriving and seeing the great atmosphere and environment, I immediately decided to extend my stay for five days. The ground floor is a restaurant and bar, while the upper floors house the hostel and guesthouse. Surprisingly, the soundproofing is excellent; the music from downstairs doesn't disturb the guests upstairs. The accommodation is also quite clean, and the other guests are very friendly. Even though staying in a hostel means sharing a room with some foreigners, everyone was polite and quiet. Chengdu has a lot of rainy days, so enjoying a craft beer in the evening with a cat for company was truly relaxing. The staff here are also incredibly enthusiastic and offer great recommendations for dining and sightseeing in Chengdu.

GGuest UserDefinitely my new ”base” for Chengdu! This place stood out because it has incredible amenities, regular events, and beautiful common areas all around for anyone to work or mingle with others. I found there to be much more local travelers here which was lovely to practice my Chinese, but also found some westerners who were also eager to practice! The rooms are incredibly cheap for the quality you get - we stayed in a 2-female room and had a ton of space for just a few $ a night. There is a tea set you can buy downstairs (pricey but lovely), they have regular events for dumpling making and calligraphy which is incredible, and there's plenty of people from all over who were very friendly and kind. Also loads of package trips available like touring nearby attractions in groups, and guidebooks available for the nearby areas. The hosts also spoke great english and that was nice when I couldn't keep up. Beautiful place, right next to the river which is so lovely for peaceful walks. So, amenities wise here's what you've got that I found exceptional: 1. Showers - Plentiful, really nice water pressure, never ran out of hot water. 2. Bathrooms - Plentiful western + asian toilets, *toilet paper provided* 3. Beds - Very comfy, not too thin mattress and nice blankets. 4. Cold Washer - Didn't use it but this is available for 5 元 I think. 5. Water - Clean water on tap, hot and cold, kettle also available. They also will give you bottle water if you ask. 6. Company - Much more local travelers, which is great for making local friends. 7. Location - Definitely out of the way of the center of Chengdu but not too far from a metro line and there's lots of food around. Also the river is just so peaceful and lovely, I don't regret it. 8. Price - Very affordable, very worth it. This is probably going to be my ”base” I return to every time i'm back in Chengdu from here on out! Thank you so much for having me! -Blue / 蓝阳

AAsisten LiburanThis hostel provides everything to make your stay enjoyable. With full facilities like towels, toiletries, free water, boardgames, a big common area, an outdoor garden - a patio with nice scenery, a semi bar, a quiet area for reading and studying also a big bonus, and more. The location is also a few steps from a bus stop and tucked inside a parking area, so you will not hear the noisy street. Too bad, few of my roommates ( local chinese, maybe students ? ) cant keep the room clean and organized with their stuff cluttered and make the room a little bit messy. However the whole area is clean and the staffs also friendly With a very affordable rate, this hostel is a winner

LLisraekenAt fhe first, I could bot find the hotel, but I talked to the owner and she was so kind and promptly videocalled me and gave me instructions how to get to the hotel which is near to the bus station. The location of the hotel is very convenient, nearby you have a park, many restaurants, pharmacy, bus station. The hotel has some local people many of them were very friendly to me, we shared the food and sit next to each other for some time and talked in chinese. The owner of the hotel can speak English and she will give the clients the best service, she is really outspoken, caring and kind. The bathroom is public, you can share it with others, you can wash your clothes and then hang it. I enjoyed my staying, it is like a dormitory, you have your own bed, but you share the room with the others as the same gender as you.

QQ.tuDuring my trip to Chengdu, I chose to stay at the Starry Sky Shuttle Hotel (Backpacker Hostel), and I had a fantastic overall experience that left a deep impression on me. For backpackers, a hostel that feels safe, has a clean environment, and a comfortable atmosphere is truly important, and this one perfectly met my expectations. Upon arriving, the first impression of the overall environment was that it was clean and bright, without the usual cluttered or noisy feeling of traditional backpacker hostels. The common areas were very inviting, with spaces for relaxing, chatting, using phones, and planning itineraries. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, making it easy to socialize with travelers from all over. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful. Check-in was efficient, and their explanations were patient. They proactively introduced the hostel's facilities and even shared local Chengdu transportation routes, recommended attractions, and nearby food information. This was incredibly thoughtful for first-time visitors to Chengdu or solo travelers, immediately putting one at ease. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the accommodation area and the bunk beds. The bedding was clean and tidy, the mattress firmness was just right, and it was very quiet at night, leading to good quality sleep. Each bunk came with a power outlet, reading light, and storage space, which was a thoughtful design, offering both convenience and a degree of privacy – I didn't feel uncomfortable staying there at all. The public restrooms and shower rooms were also kept very clean. Hot water supply was stable and water pressure was good, making them comfortable to use at any time of day, and there were plenty of them, so queuing was rarely an issue – a real bonus for a backpacker hostel. The hostel's location was also very convenient, with complete surrounding amenities including many restaurants, snack stalls, and convenience stores. Getting around and finding food was hassle-free, and it was easy to reach major Chengdu attractions or public transport, making it ideal for backpackers and independent travelers. Overall, the Starry Sky Shuttle Hotel (Backpacker Hostel) excels in cleanliness, service, and the overall living experience. It's a charming, high-value backpacker hostel. Whether you're traveling solo, with companions, or looking to meet new friends, I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Chengdu and will recommend it to my friends.
