"It was close to Tainan Station, clean, and the guy at the front desk was very helpful, giving me recommendations on restaurants. For showers, you need to turn the lever to the left and wait a while for hot water to come out. There's a ********* rice ball stand near the station that opens at 5:30am."

"Stayed here last year and thought I'd come back to the same place. Wasn't quite as good as I remembered, but good for the price. First impressions of the room was that it was great except the cleaning wasn't quite on point - first thing I saw in the bathroom was a used tooth pick on the side next to the sink and the big chair had 2 dead insects on it. Facilities are otherwise good, but I didn't remember the TV being this bad. Booked up via some old school antenna and not a single channel was HD. Even the ones with an HD logo were SD and blurry. Everything else is great and handy that they have 2 washing machines and 2 dryers (free apart from $30 for detergent) although one person had hogged both dryers so I had a long wait before I could use a drying machine. Location is fantastic. Easy to walk to most of the sights, and right in the middle of loads of cool food places, even if most of them always seem to be shut!"

"The hotel is conveniently located near Tainan Railway Station. Just to clarify, this is the conventional (TRA) train station, not the High-Speed Rail (HSR) station. If you arrive by HSR, you can catch a local train from Shalun Station to Tainan Station; trains depart every half hour. Rooms are quite spacious, but the sound insulation isn't great – you can easily hear activity from outside the door. Bottled water isn't provided in the rooms; however, each floor has a water dispenser for guests to use."

"I booked a double room for one night on Wednesday for $828. I read reviews saying that the higher floors (5F) were quieter, so I noted in the booking that I hoped to be assigned to the 5F and not a corner room. I checked in around 10 pm that night. It was difficult to park my motorcycle, and the hotel wouldn't give me a refund. The downside was that the corner room, 501, was next to the emergency exit. I thought it would be quiet, but around midnight, there was a constant, loud noise from the top floor, like a motor running, which disturbed my sleep. I stayed at this hotel for the first time and had an uncomfortable and sleepless night."

"They were so good to upgrade my husband and I to a bigger room for a family though we didn’t necessarily need it, but it was a good upgrade. The staff was very kind. It was a little hard to find the place, but at least there was a sign outside of the hallway to get you basically where you needed to go. Laundry was VERY limited. They didn’t say that, but they should have because there were only 2 washers and dryers for 200+ rooms and they were only open from 8a-10:30p, not 24 hours. They advertised but you rarely had a chance to do it."

"Overall, I'm very satisfied and would stay here again if I visit Tainan in the future. The concierge service was excellent, and it was very quiet during my stay. Even though there was window cleaning happening outside during the day, I barely heard any noise."

"Hands down my absolute favorite hotel during my trip to Tainan! The overall decor is superb and feels incredibly new and modern. The facilities are very convenient. Breakfast was exceptionally good, offering a wide variety of local specialties. The book selection in the common areas is also very tastefully curated. The laundry facilities are fantastic too! Moreover, the hotel excels at 'localization' – they provide beautifully designed newspaper-style pamphlets introducing Tainan! Next time, I'd love to stay in a room with a record player! 🥹❤️"

"Tainan public transport via train is challenging , The High speed train station is far away from local Rail station while Hotel Tainan is located near to Rail station Good place to stay if you are using rail services as access is direct and very convenient What I loved the most is the variety of their buffer breakfast The room cleanliness is superb"
