"This hotel in Kumamoto offers great value for money, much more affordable than Fukuoka. It's a new hotel located right in Kumamoto city center, making it an excellent choice. We took the Fukuoka Airport bus to the Kumamoto Bus Terminal, and it was less than a 10-minute walk from there. The hotel is also very close to the shopping street, which we walked through several times a day – super convenient for dining and shopping. **Facilities:** The building is prominent and easy to find. The lobby offers a variety of tea bags, and toiletries are available for self-service. The in-room facilities are relatively new, convenient, and easy to use. **Hygiene:** The room was clean and tidy, and the linens were comfortable. **Environment:** The location is superb, just a short walk to the shopping street and the city's central area. **Service:** The staff were efficient and friendly. The breakfast was quite unique, offering various local horse meat options. The taste was decent, nothing extraordinary. I was particularly impressed by the local transparent soy sauce and even bought some to take home."

"Stayed one night at Nest Hotel Kumamoto. The room was quite tight, but workable for a short stay. Location was convenient, it was walking distance to plenty of eateries and a nearby mall and supermarket, though we didn’t get to explore much since we moved on the next morning. Parking was the tricky part: it uses one of those mechanical garage systems that only fits smaller cars, and getting in and out wasn’t the easiest. Overall fine for a quick stop with a small luggage."

"My family had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located on the upper floors of AMU Plaza, right next to Kumamoto Station, with a dedicated elevator on the ground floor that takes you directly to the lobby. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are consistently friendly and polite. The only minor downside is that the breakfast selection is a little limited. That said, the hotel’s excellent location more than makes up for it, as there are plenty of cafés and restaurants just steps away in and around AMU Plaza."

"This hotel is, without a doubt, the most satisfying I've stayed at during my solo trips to Japan over the past few years! 👍5☆☆☆☆☆ 1. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Kumamoto Station, just a 3-4 minute walk to the left after exiting (Photo 3). The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are large. They provide complimentary bottled water. It's quiet at night. Photos 5 & 6 show the view from room 714. The front desk staff are patient, professional, and attentive. 👍 2. There are many dining options inside the train station, making meals very convenient. 3. There are bus and tram stops right outside the hotel. You can use IC credit cards (UnionPay, VISA) and Alipay directly on all Kumamoto city buses and trams for payment, which is incredibly convenient! We walked to Kumamoto Castle, stopping at Kitaoka Shrine ⛩ along the way. We took Tram Line A back. It's very close to Kumamoto Castle and the city center. 4. The next morning, we headed to Mount Aso. We bought tickets to Aso Station at Kumamoto Station, and there were several train times to choose from. Very convenient! If you're planning a city walk in Kumamoto and a visit to Mount Aso, I highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel employees all of them were showed a good attitude and communication was no problem for foreigners. The location is great — it’s close to Kumamoto Castle, and there’s a shopping mall just about a 10-minute walk away. I made a reservation for a triple room for two nights. The sofa bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioner could not adjust the airflow direction, which caused us to catch a cold. One more thing, the room key had to be returned and kept at the counter whenever we went out for the day."

"Nice hotel at a great location. I lowered the amenities score because they don’t provide toothpaste if you opt in to their eco initiative. Only clean towels and a teabag daily. This is very different from the eco initiatives in other hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan. Maybe not brushing your teeth saves the environment? I don’t know. Besides that, the ac is centrally controlled, which made nights pretty warm."

"I took a bus from Fukuoka Airport to Sakuramachi Bus Terminal, which took over two hours, but it was hassle-free. The room was larger than the KOKO hotels I've stayed at before and very clean. I've stayed at KOKO hotels in Kobe and Shinsaibashi and had a great impression, so I chose KOKO again for my trip to Kumamoto. The location is excellent; it's a straight shot from the hotel to Kumamoto Castle and Josaien. There's a department store right below the hotel, and the supermarket on B1 has an incredible variety of products. Across the street is a bustling shopping and dining street, similar to Shinsaibashi. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Kumamoto; it's definitely worth staying here."

"This hotel provided an amazing experience! The location is incredibly convenient, just a 3-minute walk to both the business district and the tram station. While the room was compact, it was fully equipped, and the smart toilet and bathtub were exceptionally comfortable. The front desk service was warm and thoughtful, and they efficiently guided me through the self-check-in process. Housekeeping was meticulous every day, ensuring the bedding was clean and soft. The surrounding area boasts numerous convenience stores and izakayas, and the breakfast offered a unique touch. Overall, it's superb value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again!"

"Three of us stayed at Sanwan for 2600 yuan, and it was pure enjoyment! 😎 **Facilities**: The facilities are very new. We took turns sleeping on the sofa bed, and it was surprisingly comfortable – no back pain! The room was also spacious enough for three suitcases to be fully open, which was perfectly acceptable. **Cleanliness**: It was extremely clean. A big thank you to the housekeeping staff; even though we ate a lot every day, everything was spotless the next morning. **Environment**: The location is excellent, very close to Shangxia Tong. There are two convenience stores downstairs, and a tram stop not far away. It's also conveniently located near all the attractions. Highly recommend!"

"Great stay at this clean, conveniently located hotel. It’s right inside a covered shopping arcade that connects to many food options, and also just across the street from the tram stop and a large mall housing the bus terminal. Room was comfortable and of a good size. Free drinks are available at a quiet lounge area for guests, and there’s also a nice public bath to relax at too. Would recommend."
