"I have never had a bad experience here. The hotel is always clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and it’s a great location with a good view. I stay here 1 to 2 times per week for business, and I’ve made it my home away from home!"
"The room was clean and in good shape. My problem was we were not able to close the black out curtains and a bright street light shone in. The room had no view except for the air conditioning units. This disturbed our sleep all night. The food was good but a bit pricey. The service was good and the staff that we met were friendly. Over all I probably would stay here again, but ask for a better room.
"
"My family and I liked it very much after staying for one night, so we stayed for another night. The room is big enough, clean and comfortable, there are many guests with pets and children. Sometimes there are pets barking or children running around in the hallway, but overall it is quiet. The whole hotel is small and delicate, elegant everywhere, even the back stairs are clean, covered with thick carpets and perfumed. Simple breakfast buffet."
"The Francis Marion hotel is in the perfect location for those who want to walk the city and be close to all the attractions and food. The hotel was clean and the service was wonderful. Parking was easy and the hotel gives guests a card that makes it more affordable, as well. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Charleston! "
"The location is the best for my needs. The service was above and beyond. The complimentary breakfast was very good. I usually travel with my fur baby, this hotel allows this. This time I did not but was just as accommodating. The rate I recieved was very good.I appreciate this flexibility. Great room. Will stay again during Christmas holidays.
Thanks,
Rhonda"
"The hotel consists of two buildings, one of which has an external corridor. The hotel service is very good, and the check-in and check-out are fast. The room has a usable area of 26 square meters and a floor height of 2.4 meters. The breakfast is rich. As it is far away from the city, the surrounding area is very quiet. But it is a bit inconvenient to go into the city. As the hotel allows pets to stay, and the house is carpeted, the springtails carried by the animals are not easy to remove, and there are more than 20 bites on my feet."
"The hotel is generally OK, bright and hygienic, relatively quiet. The location is also OK. It is one of the optional hotels for tourism. I will consider staying next time and set the price in advance."
"For a two day stay the hotel was very accommodating. Helpful front desk, rooms were large and comfortable with fridge and microwave. Quiet and slept well. Dozens of choices for food, all walking distance. Good choice!"

Great
RRamzi L.Spent one night at this location driving back from Florida to Virginia:
. Well maintained and clean hotel.
. The breakfast service was great: they even make waffle to order for you and many options to choose from.
. Easy check-in & check-out.
. Location is good: close to everything.
. The room was clean but was missing some trash bags other than all was good.
Will stay here again.
GGuest UserWhen we arrived at the hotel and checked in. We enquired about the breakfast which was included in the booking. We were suprised to find out that there wasn't actually a breakfast. You got this card, and every morning you could pick out one item out of their ”supermarket”. The ”supermarket” was basically a minifridge and freezer, and a couple of shelves. Here you could find little cups of icecream, frozen minipizza, water, cola, and things like crisps and m&m's. This is hardly a breakfast. And you could only take one item, not even a drink and a snack. We said that this was not what we expected when we made the booking with breakfast included.
The receptionist didn't even apologize just stated that the information on the website was old from 2021 and that they hadn't gotten around to changing it.
We decided on this hotel because the breakfast was included. It was a pretty expensive booking. With over 400 dollars per night you would expect at least and nice breakfast or apologies and compensation.
At the end we just took a bottle of water in the morning and had breakfast elsewhere.
GGuest UserA perfectly located and very homely little bed and breakfast that packs a lot of bang for buck. Friendly service, beautifully appointed rooms (excellent shower!) and located near all the historic sites of Charleston.
GGuest UserLovely hotel with nice large shower and vanity. Beautiful garden , fountain and pool. Staff was super professional and accommodating. The canopy beds were comfortable with luxury linens. It is an historic building so keep that in mind. So convenient to everything Charleston. I would most definitely stay again.
RRaraRylandTrendy hotel, clean rooms! Great size TV and en-suite.
No storage or fridge/safe/microwave/coffee in room.
Reception on upper floor with bar (complimentary drink) and lounge with fab rooftop!
Food served after 3pm was limited but tasty.
Starbucks on ground floor.
똑똑바로I stayed at the hotel for three days to attend a conference. My first impression was that the room was spacious enough for a solo stay, equipped with a coffee pot, though the refrigerator was empty. However, complimentary drinking water was available at the front desk, and a microwave was also accessible. The bathroom fan made a friction noise when operating, so I chose not to use it. Additionally, it was a self-circulating system rather than being connected to an exhaust line, which I found somewhat unexpected.
DDanI did find some trash in the drawers other than that the room is prefect for traveling with family. Had a double queen and a convertible couch.
The location is about ten minutes away from everything: downtown, airport, Tanger outlets. There are plenty of close by restaurants and supermarkets for the essentials.
RRickCarpet had ripples from bed to bathroom (tripping hazard) toilet tissue holder and bathroom baseboard poorly repaired. Room are not well insulated as we could here upstairs walking around all night and next doors tv blaring at 630am. Breakfast was good, efficient and different day to day. Front desk was very welcoming and all staff we talked to friendly. We still expected more in a quality room from Marriot
CCaitlinStidham02Great place! Very clean and the staff were very helpful and nice! The room was clean and was stocked with everything! Our room even had a Keurig and a microwave plus a mini fridge.
We had the top floor and the corner room which we have never had before but the view was amazing!
