I forgot to leave a review before, but even though the facilities aren't top-notch, the environment was quite peaceful. I'm not sure if it was because I requested a quiet room when booking, but our three rooms were on a floor where there were indeed no noisy drunkards or unruly children. Being able to get a good rest makes it a decent hotel. Some hotels, despite having great facilities, have terrible management, which is pointless... Breakfast was average; the lamb offal soup was pretty good, but you can't expect too much from breakfast at this level of hotel. Both service and breakfast were pretty standard, and overall, it wasn't a rip-off.

The rooms and bedding are up to the usual Intercity standard, which is fine. However, the service was really poor. To be honest, I stayed for two nights; the first night was over 700 yuan, and the second was over 600 yuan. I understand it's a holiday, but for that price, I expect at least the same level of service as a normal season hotel like All Seasons or Crystal, which cost only 200-300 yuan. Instead, I paid that much and still had to put up with the front desk's attitude. I checked in on the afternoon of the 19th. The oldest lady at the front desk – why should I have to deal with her attitude when I'm paying to stay here? I had already specified in my booking not to have a room at either end of the hallway, but she assigned me one right next to the elevator. She told me it was an upgrade, and I initially agreed. But after being in the room for a minute, I was so worried about the noise that I went back down to tell her I didn't want the upgrade and preferred a standard room, as long as it wasn't at either end. Her face immediately dropped, and she started ignoring me, refusing to talk to me. She then had a younger girl help me. That's when I realized the room I originally booked wasn't available. After waiting a while, they finally found another room at the other end of the hall, at least not right next to the elevator. I just accepted it. The next night, she was on the night shift. They were all sitting there, laughing and chatting, I don't know what they were doing. I went over and asked if the bar's beer was drinkable. One staff member told me it was out of order, even though the day before, we both heard another guest being told it was fine to drink. I thought I'd just try it out once since I was checking out the next morning. It was very disappointing. I've stayed at Intercity hotels in other cities before, and the service was never like this. It's a holiday, and I understand you're busy. But I've paid good money, so why do I have to put up with your attitude? Oh, and when I checked out, another staff member took my room card without even looking up. She asked how my stay was, and I said it was okay. She just said 'good' and that was it, still without looking up. They didn't even offer a bottle of water, let alone a farewell. Oh, and the second day we went out, the cleaning staff who tidied our room didn't restock the drinks in the fridge. I called the front desk, and they said they'd bring them up. A little while later, the cleaning staff knocked on the door and said they forgot to put them in. Throughout all this, no one seemed apologetic, and I didn't even get an 'I'm sorry.' In the bathroom, the sensor light was full of dust, and there was something black on the round hole above the sink, I don't know what it was. I found it disgusting. I saw it as soon as I looked down and wiped it off myself.

I chose Falu Hotel based on the reviews, and it truly is a hidden gem – I'm so satisfied! The room was clean and tidy, beautifully decorated, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and parking was convenient. The breakfast had a great variety, and bottled mineral water was provided to meet guests' needs. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and doing their best to accommodate requests. A special shout-out to the housekeeping auntie: my family member was unwell, and I had left medicine on the table. She not only left extra bottles of water but also some chrysanthemum tea, along with a thoughtful note asking if we needed anything and offering help. When I requested a change of bedding at the front desk, it was handled promptly and efficiently. It felt just like staying at home. If I come to Datong again, I will definitely choose this hotel!

Chose this newly opened Cat's Horizon for my trip and it was a great choice! No regrets here. The environment is excellent, with a spacious and bright lobby and rooms. The decor details are really well done. The cleanliness is reassuring, and the service is on point; check-in was fast, and any issues were addressed promptly. Being a new establishment, it offers great value for money. Definitely my top pick for accommodation when traveling!

Incredible! The only minus is that it is not centrally located, so you'll have to take the taxi to the center (Old city), but it is in a lively neighbourhood. When you enter the building and see the elevator, you might have second thoughts for a moment (😉), but then...the ROOM! Huge, extra clean, ultra modern with brand new amenities, everything controlled at a touch of a button...Staff is very welcoming and attentive too. We loved it and couldn't recommend it more! Note: for some strange reason, the exact name of the hotel is Karen Boman hotel not the Sheng Gloria plaza (check building photo), so don't be confused when you get to the address. The entrance is on the right side of the building.

The hotel rooms were spacious and large, clean and hygienic, with new facilities, voice-controlled smart features, and a well-separated wet and dry area! The breakfast was excellent, there was plenty of drinking water in the room, and the disposable toiletries were all of good quality. The front desk staff were very welcoming and patiently answered many questions. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I come to Datong 😊

Datong Dongxin Plaza Rayshen Jingjie E-sports Hotel is very good, the location is good to find, parking is free, and the transportation is convenient. The room was clean and odorless, the space was spacious and the soundproofing was superb. The equipment is top equipped, the network of the special line, and the group battle is silky and not stuck. The e-sports chair is comfortable, intelligent guest control + robot delivery, the details are intimate, the room is equipped with snacks and drinks such as potato chips, energy sticks, etc. You can get it when you are hungry, and you don't need to interrupt the game. Private bathroom, 24-hour hot water, complete toiletries. The service is warm and thoughtful, the customer is full and especially clean.

The location is not far away from Datong South railway station. It is also not far away from the Datong Ancient City. Taxi rides took less than 15 minutes for these destinations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at Atour Linfan before this trip. The quality is consistent. Besides the free supper available after 930pm, unlimited supplies of bottled water and free usage of the washing machine and dryers, the key element is the friendly services and the extra miles from the staff to make the stay remarkably.

This hostel has an excellent location with convenient transportation and plenty of great food options nearby. The rooms are clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable, and the common areas are spacious and bright. The owner and staff are very welcoming and always quick to help with any issues. I really enjoyed my stay here, met a lot of new friends, and I'll definitely be back next time.
