The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating. They upgraded us to a family room, and the breakfast spread was fantastic, offering a great mix of local Shanxi specialties and Western options. We wanted to extend our stay in the same room, but it wasn't available. However, the lobby staff went above and beyond to arrange a king-size room for us. While it was a bit pricier, it felt completely worth it. The TV was a little small, but the rewind function was a great bonus, allowing us to catch up on shows.

The hotel occupies two floors, the ninth and tenth, and the rooms are spacious. All facilities are almost brand new. The entire room is smart home; the bathroom nightlight is sensor-activated, only illuminating when you enter the bathroom at night, so the light won't disturb your partner's sleep. The mattress is also very comfortable and supportive. I slept soundly and felt refreshed. The room's cleanliness and soundproofing are excellent. I'm seventy years old and very sensitive to noise; even the slightest sound will wake me up, but I slept very comfortably here, even more comfortably than at home. The young lady at the hotel reception was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. She assisted us with various issues and enthusiastically introduced us to different restaurants and attractions in Datong. She helped us integrate into the local life as soon as we arrived in the city. My partner said that she alone would make it worthwhile to come back to Datong again. This hotel will be my only choice for my next trip.

The location of the hotel is good, easy access from main road to get big bags to it and also to go around the ancient city both during day and night time to enjoy all the landmarks. Missing signages make it a bit difficult to find the hotel at first. Also, while we had paid for a bigger rooms the room barely had walking space. It had no luggage storage space or cabinet. The washroom and room floor was not cleaned. Staff on the other hand are very friendly and willing to help with all the questions - on local travel, places to see, vegetarian food, etc. They find a way to help to the best. All in all was a good experience and would have been better with some adjustments.

The room was spotless, the sheets and duvet cover felt wonderful, and the smart toilet was a huge plus – so warm and cozy in winter! The double-glazed windows provided excellent soundproofing; I couldn't hear anything from outside at night and slept like a log. The young man at the front desk was incredibly helpful; he offered to help me with my large suitcase and reminded me to dress warmly as the temperature difference between day and night is significant in Datong. The only minor drawback was the lack of USB ports in the room, so you'll have to bring your own charger. But the value for money is unbeatable. For just a few dozen yuan more, you get this quality – a steal! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Datong. Trust me, go for it!

I stayed here once before, last year, when I was in town for a concert. It's conveniently located near the highway 🛣 and offers a great environment and excellent service. I especially want to commend the young man at the front desk 🏨; he was incredibly professional, patient, and had high emotional intelligence, making guests feel truly at home. The breakfast was also fantastic, with a wide variety of options, including local Datong specialties like 'daoxiao mian' (knife-cut noodles) and lamb offal soup with vermicelli.

Traveling to Datong with my partner, choosing Holiday Inn Datong was definitely the right decision! The hotel environment is quiet and elegant, and the courtyard's lush greenery creates a wonderful atmosphere, perfect for a romantic evening stroll. The room facilities are new and complete, with excellent soundproofing. The bathroom and soft furnishings are all thoughtfully designed, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The front desk service was gentle and attentive, check-in was quick, and they even kindly recommended attractions suitable for couples, which really made our trip feel extra special. Before we left, I was in a bit of a hurry and ordered a fried cake from the hotel restaurant to take away. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and attentive – I'll definitely be back!

The overall process felt very comfortable. Later, I was told that I wanted to buy a breakfast. I said that I could just buy it directly at the restaurant. I asked later that I was staying alone, so I gave one as a gift! ! ! It’s nice that someone came to give you a fruit plate after you checked in. Environment: It is not a new decoration, there is no strange smell, the facilities are very new, and the environment controlled by Xiaodu is very good. There are also bathroom slippers, which many homes don’t have.

Parking is directly below the negative floor, free and convenient. When you come to Datong to travel, you basically run the attractions outside during the day, and return to such a clean, smart, and intimate place at night, and you will feel full of happiness. Recommend to all travelers, you can still consider staying here next time you come to Datong.
