The hotel is close to the city center, which was convenient. However, they didn’t provide shower gel, shampoo, or slippers — only one towel per person. So if you usually rely on the hotel for basic shower items, it’s better to bring your own. The room was also a bit dirty, but since the hotel also functions as a student dormitory, I can understand why the conditions may be more basic…

IMPORTANT: My flat has recently been granted a short term let license and the relevant planning permission to operate legally as a holiday rental. Both these things are a legal requirement for holiday lets such as mine and very few in Edinburgh have been granted them to date. If you book somewhere in Edinburgh, please ensure they are legal to operate or you may find they are forced by the authorities to cease trading with immediate effect and you run the very real risk of your booking being cancelled. Further to this, if they do continue to trade without the legal requirements you will not be covered by any insurance should you require this during your stay. Decisions on whether licenses and planning permission are granted are starting to come in between Jan 2024 and throughout the summer of 2024.Now for the nice stuff:Cozy, comfortable home combining traditional Scottish flair with modernity and everything you could possibly need. Great location and excellent service! There was an issue with our room door, but they quickly resolved it by moving us to a different room. The hotel is also conveniently located right behind a large shopping mall.

An absolutely wonderful experience! The hotel's location and unbeatable views made our day in Edinburgh so enjoyable. It's just a five-minute walk from the hotel to Calton Hill, and getting to the Old Town, Victoria Street (Rainbow Street), and the Royal Mile was incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is a historic landmark; I even went to see room 552, with its beautifully painted purple door, where J.K. Rowling found a quiet retreat amidst the bustling city to complete her seventh book.

1. The location is excellent, like living on the Bund in Shanghai. Prince Street, where it's located, is known as the world's most beautiful street (a slight exaggeration, but it's truly beautiful), making it ideal for CityWalk. 2. The classic tomb-view rooms offer a picturesque view of the ancient tombs, which is quite captivating if you're not bothered. 3. The rooms are quite large, with kitchens and living rooms. 4. There's a laundry room. 5. Parking is available at a public lot over 500 meters away. You'll need to reserve it online, but you can ask the front desk for a discount code.

Location is absolutely great, the hotel is right next to st.james quarter shopping center and across Edinburgh waverly station. By 5-15 minutes walk you can access many of the tourist which is very convenience. Also the lobby is well decorated and has a great view of old town. Rooms were clean and sizing is also OK for my family.

Absolutely a good location for quietness and quiet in the new city. Very close to the train station and the airport bus. If you bring large luggage, it is recommended that you live in the new city. It is very convenient. As long as you have a bed, you don’t need to wait until the afternoon. If you have big luggage, you need to take some effort to climb this red staircase. Others are perfect. You can cook in the kitchen. Basically, you have fruit, bread, milk, and tea. There is no limit in the hall. Your best meal, please consciously tidy and clean the girl I live in. The 6 rooms have curtains. The bedside can fill the shop. Small luggage can be placed directly in everyone's cabinet. If you are lucky, you can live on the bottom floor. Hahaha. It's a three-story bed, so the first floor is very low and I can hardly straighten the waist. I can end it. After all, the price is so favorable. Right, there is a great coffee bar and small restaurant downstairs. Everyone is seductive when I see the Apple store and turn in. This is the bar and the hotel
