Exquisite British style 👍 The convenient location means you can pop back to your room for a rest when you're tired from exploring, and it feels so cozy. 🌹 The only downside is that it's an old building so there's no elevator 🙈, but I still loved it very much! 💕 Helpful tip: When you come out of the train station, take the shortcut shown in picture #17 to get to the hotel 🏨

Hotel is in great location. A stone throw away from Waverley train station. Staff were very friendly. WiFi is only available for 30 mins free each day and then you have to pay which for paying nearly £100 for one night seems cheeky. I decided to then pay for it for it to keep cutting out every few minutes. When I went to use the body wash/shampoo, it was mainly just water water but the cleaning staff were very quick to come and fix it.

The Apex hotel, location is just perfect. 5 minutes from Edinburgh Waverly station. Pros: Location, cleanliness, accessibility. Cons: It was just our experience, where we went out and came back to our room with a leaking bathroom. The upper light socket was pouring and leaking water. But, the team quickly sent the maintenance to check, moved us to another room and provided a complimentary breakfast. This is a really a good hotel, where you can easily walk to key locations and use public transport for travel. A good place, and I would recommend to other fellow travelers.

The location is absolutely perfect — it’s literally right in front of the castle, and there are plenty of cafés around, so the vibes are really nice! 😍 BUT the room itself was super tiny — honestly, it felt claustrophobic. Definitely not recommended for families traveling around the UK with lots of luggage. Thankfully, the reception staff were very helpful and let us store our suitcases at the front desk because they knew the room couldn’t possibly fit all of them 🤓 I even had one of my suitcases stored in their locker, lol. There was even one night when the AC in our room suddenly stopped working, but the staff handled it really well and helped us move to another room — no hassle at all, which we really appreciated! One important heads-up: this hotel is not wheelchair-friendly. There’s no lift, so keep that in mind if accessibility is a concern.

The staff are wonderful, and the capsule for the night is comfortable. While the storage isn't huge, everything is thoughtfully designed for backpackers. The location is easy to find, and it's best to travel light since there's no lift. Plus, the cobbled road can be tricky for suitcases, so packing accordingly makes everything easier.

This hotel is an absolute gem for its price! The rooms are really comfortable, and the location is fantastic – super close to the train station and all the must-see attractions. It made getting around and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Plus, the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel that other travellers should know what to expect. I stayed in a single room on the top floor and was very disappointed, especially considering the price. The room was much smaller than I had expected and felt rather cramped. I paid £136 through Trip.com, even with a discount, and I simply did not feel that the room offered value for money. The room looked tired and dated. The carpet did not look very fresh, the furniture was old-fashioned but not in a charming or historic way, and there were marks on the walls that could easily have been touched up. The bedside lamp also appeared to be damaged, as the lampshade was noticeably crooked and could not be adjusted. I would also like to mention that the room and bathroom were clean, and the bed linen was fresh and clean. I knew when I booked that the room did not include a safe or a fridge, as this was mentioned in the description. However, for a four-star hotel at this price, I still feel that a safe and at least a small fridge should be provided. The television was also very small, and overall the room felt very basic for the price and hotel rating. The bathroom itself was a reasonable size, but it was not very practical. There was no shelf above the sink for toiletries, which was inconvenient. In the shower, the large shampoo and conditioner bottles were placed on the floor of the shower, meaning I had to keep bending down to reach them. I would also like to mention that access to the upper floors involves a very steep spiral staircase. I was aware that there was no lift, but I did not expect the staircase to be so steep and difficult to climb. As I was not comfortable in the room, I asked whether it might be possible to move to a different room. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available. I had originally planned to stay in Edinburgh for another night, but I decided to move to a different hotel instead. The location of the hotel is good and convenient for Waverley Station, and the staff were polite and friendly. However, my overall experience did not meet my expectations for a four-star hotel, especially at this price. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Positive- great location, a short walk to everywhere. We are enjoying the complimentary coffee from the dining area, auto check in machine, newly renovated room and great ventilation, comfortable bed. Negative- no cups, tea and coffee in the room. Our room in the basement and the look out was a bit grimly, the bathroom water is leaking out to the outside floor.

Absolutely a good location for quietness and quiet in the new city. Very close to the train station and the airport bus. If you bring large luggage, it is recommended that you live in the new city. It is very convenient. As long as you have a bed, you don’t need to wait until the afternoon. If you have big luggage, you need to take some effort to climb this red staircase. Others are perfect. You can cook in the kitchen. Basically, you have fruit, bread, milk, and tea. There is no limit in the hall. Your best meal, please consciously tidy and clean the girl I live in. The 6 rooms have curtains. The bedside can fill the shop. Small luggage can be placed directly in everyone's cabinet. If you are lucky, you can live on the bottom floor. Hahaha. It's a three-story bed, so the first floor is very low and I can hardly straighten the waist. I can end it. After all, the price is so favorable. Right, there is a great coffee bar and small restaurant downstairs. Everyone is seductive when I see the Apple store and turn in. This is the bar and the hotel

hotel is built in an old building, so there are no lifts. Rooms are clean & cozy and i enjoyed my time here. Service staff were warm and welcoming; and the location is great too
