My recent hotel stay was a bit of a mixed experience. While the hotel was clean and well-equipped, there were several issues that detracted from my overall satisfaction.
Before arriving, I had communicated with the hotel via email and was told that they could be reached via WhatsApp. However, upon arrival, I was unable to get a response from the hotel on WhatsApp. Additionally, there was no reception area, and check-in had to be done over the phone, which required multiple long-distance phone calls and extra fees.
The day before check-in, I received a last-minute email from the hotel requesting a deposit, but they did not provide any information on how to make the payment. Not all of the staff were willing to provide assistance, but the last person I spoke to was patient and helpful, which allowed me to check in smoothly.
One major safety concern was that there was a step outside the bathroom, but the floor was not marked, making it easy to trip and fall. Another hazard was the transparent coffee table in the living room, which caused several stumbling incidents that could have led to injuries.
Overall, while the hotel was clean and well-maintained, the issues with communication, extra fees, and safety hazards detracted from my experience.

CANThe hotel location is very good, very close to Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street, it is a little far away from Royal Mile Street, but can be reached on foot, the town is very suitable for walking.
The hotel implements unmanned management, and you can open the door and the room door yourself according to the password you check in. We are a family of 5 staying with children and living suites. The rooms are large and clean and well-equipped. You can cook your own meals. Tableware and pots are fully equipped (but I do n’t see a microwave). We are accustomed to the British diet. The house even provides equipment such as vacuum cleaners and washing machines, which is in line with our home habits.
The price is slightly higher, but for the case of five of us, it is still a lot more cost-effective than booking two single rooms, especially it is really good to be able to cook by ourselves.
In particular, we need to remind everyone that the hotel will send you an email 7 days and 1 day before the check-in, which will contain the room number and password for the check-in. If you booked on Ctrip, because they may have booked through other channels, the reserved mailbox is not ours, we cannot receive the mail, we must contact Ctrip customer service one day in advance, get this information, and then Can stay. Because the apartment is unmanned, it will be inconvenient to communicate if there is a temporary problem.

ChandhockApart from location and the staff nothing was great. Room is very old and doesn’t have even charging plug next to the bed. Moreover there is no room to even walk or get on the bed from one side. Not for families, purely business hotel

XiaotumifeiThe facilities were clean and the service was warm and welcoming. They even gave me a complimentary welcome cocktail. I didn't have much luggage, so I just walked from the train station to the hotel. If you have a lot of bags, I'd recommend taking a taxi. Like most hotels abroad, they don't provide slippers or toothbrushes. I didn't opt for breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of all the Edinburgh attractions, and there's a bus stop right outside and a supermarket nearby, which was very convenient.

We arrived at the hotel before the stated check in time due to our train’s early arrival, hoping to leave luggage in a storage room. The assistant was very helpful and allowed us an early check in which was very convenient in allowing us make the most of our time in Edinburgh. We booked the ‘executive room’ after our original booking was fully booked. Room was spotlessly clean, modern decor with everything we needed. Breakfast was included in our booking which provided a great range of choice, including for vegetarians, very tasty and faultless. Definitely recommend the hotel if you’re looking to stay somewhere in a fairly central location

Anonymous UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel! During the off-season, the value for money was excellent. The hotel is a bit of a walk from Princes Street, but there's a bus stop right outside, and you can also get there in 15-20 minutes on foot. All the staff were very friendly, and I had a great experience. On my last day, I had an early train, and after I mentioned it, they even packed breakfast for me, which was incredibly thoughtful. Five-star rating!

From a hotel of this level and price you expect more for breakfast. At least delicious coffee :) and a cup for toothbrushes in the bathroom would not hurt either.
By the way, about coffee - if you come at 8 am or later, then while you wait for the waiter with coffee you can sit - what prevents the hotel from installing a coffee machine so that I can serve myself is a mystery.
The location is excellent, everything is within walking distance.
The room is large, the height of the ceilings causes a wow effect :) the bed is beyond praise.
There is a gym, a swimming pool, a spa and even a yoga mat and scales in the room - I did not use any of the above :))
They ask for a deposit of 150 pounds upon check-in. You would think that they have crooks living here and I will run away without paying.
In general, considering the price, I would think twice - maybe there is cheaper nearby, but not much worse.
The restaurant across the road Kyole is simply brilliant! I recommend 👍 and a little further, but also a minute's walk away, a good shop of kilts and traditional clothes, not a souvenir shop like on the Royal Mile.
We went to the airport by bus number 100, very convenient, the bus stop is two minutes from the entrance to the hotel, the stop at the airport is right opposite the entrance, the price for two with luggage is 11 pounds, inside there is a place to put bags. We got there in 30 minutes. Everything is convenient and fast.

Especially satisfied, it was amazing as soon as I entered the room. The ancient city outside the window was like a picture. It was so pleasant to have an afternoon tea in front of the window! The room is very new, clean and tidy, the bathroom is oversized, the open kitchen is complete, the most satisfying stay in the UK is here, tomorrow from the Highlands back to Edinburgh and want to stay for another night, but unfortunately there is no room.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and highly recommend it. The location is incredibly convenient with easy access to public transport, making it simple to explore the city. It’s situated in a quiet, upscale neighborhood, offering a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy crowds.
The property is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. I was impressed by the high ceilings in the room, which made the space feel bright, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, modern and brand-new, with everything you need for cooking and preparing meals.
