Amazing location and really friendly staff. The hot water wasn’t working and the room could do with having a kettle too.

Awesome location for a reasonable price! The building is old but has a nice look. Our room looked good in photos, but in reality, it was cheaply remodeled. Most of the hardware had either cosmetic issues or was dusty, except for the heater. The white walls had water stains and what looked like blood spots (possibly from the dead mosquitoes). Despite these issues, they were acceptable for the price. However, the strong moldy smell was not. Even with both windows open and a fan on, the smell persisted, and I had a terrible night’s sleep. Additionally, the hotel charges a city tax per person, which was not included in the hotel fee we had already paid. Fortunately, we didn’t experience bedbugs, possibly because of the new mattresses. The room for storing suitcases was open all the time, and anyone could walk in, as it was out of sight from the front desk. The staff must rely on their memory to track which suitcases belong to which guests. Therefore, treat luggage storage as a favor, not a responsibility. The nighttime staff lady was kind and helpful; she was the best part of our stay.

Absolutely Incredible I just can't deny I suppose to stay just 1 day, but the receptionist from Tunisia is SO KIND , INCREDIBLE HUMAN, she talk to me saying MY NAME I have been in MORE THAN 28 countries a lot of 5 stars hotels , NEVER EVER anyone calling MY NAME !!! She make me feel so important for that reason I paid 3 more days ! by the way LOCATION IS Amazing police station next door so VERY SAFETY hotel , very clean, BIG ROOMS much better than expected!!!

Hotel is well located, 5 minutes walk from everything. The room had been renovated and the bathroom was new. Everything was clean and tidy. Good value for money. I recommend it.

The hotel is located in the tourist check-in area. It has a small entrance, a small front desk, and a small old elevator. It can only hold one box per person. The door is opened manually. There is no hot water for showering at night. When I asked, I was told that I had run out of hot water for the day. There was hot water only for taking a shower the next morning, which was bearable. The most unbearable thing was that there were many mosquitoes in the room, and the walls were full of mosquito corpses and bloodstains! It's so disgusting. I killed more than a dozen mosquitoes in one night's sleep. Each one was so full that it couldn't fly. Every time I smacked it, there was a blood mark... The child didn't dare to reveal the tight quilt covering him during the whole night. I was sweating all over, and I still got a few bites in the middle of the night. I was also worried about whose blood these mosquitoes had bitten the night before... I was afraid of spreading the virus 😭 The worst hotel

Perfect location! The shower water took a long time to heat up and the bedroom door was hard to close because it didn't fit.

Staying at the Saint George Hotel was an unexpected surprise. I originally booked a B&B but was cancelled, so I had no choice but to book this hotel less than a day before check-in. I was very satisfied with the location and facilities of the hotel and the price was very reasonable. It was just a few steps away from the City Hall. It was the Belgian National Day at the time. There were many crowded squares in the city center and various concerts filled the entire old city. The hotel was located on a relatively quiet street in the downtown area of ​​Fude

Very central location, we have been in summer and it is hot inside the room apart from having mosquitoes and flies. The place is comfortable and the staff is very pleasant.

The location is great, and you can walk to almost all the attractions worth seeing in Ghent. The front desk staff is warm and thoughtful. It would be better if there were a few more clothes racks, as people who travel often need to change clothes.
