Hotels Near Former Site of the State Silk Warehouse in Hangzhou

The original meeting room was fully booked, so I was really surprised to find the Orange Hotel nearby. It was a surprise, it was exquisite, reassuring and warm. The breakfast was also exquisite, healthy and hygienic, and the everything was very complete. Worth recommending, will come again next time

The hotel is overall good. Although it faces the street, it is not very noisy and it is relatively quiet to sleep at night. When I first arrived, the room number I was given was close to the plug-in machine. It was very noisy with the windows closed. I immediately went downstairs and asked the front desk to change to room No. 1, which was very quiet. There is only one elevator, which is relatively slow. The breakfast was pretty good, which is acceptable for a business hotel.

The room is very spacious, with many windows for good lighting. The air conditioning has a good cooling effect, but it is a bit loud. The bathroom is also relatively large, but there is a problem with the rain. The control switch of the larger shower head above the head may be broken. It cannot be locked and water cannot be continuously discharged. However, the small shower head is okay. In addition, the hotel is next to the subway entrance, which is very convenient for travel.

This is my first time to experience WeChat butler service. It is so convenient! Whether it is ordering food or booking a taxi, you can do it with just a few taps, saving time and effort. The room is clean and comfortable, with complete facilities, and you can sleep peacefully at night. The hotel's service attitude is very good, and every employee is professional and friendly. I will definitely choose this hotel again on business trips in the future. The price-performance ratio is really great!

I was upgraded to a business king room for free, with a bathtub. The environment and facilities are very good. The transportation is also very convenient, about 4 kilometers away from the West Lake. There is a tea shop outside the hotel, the Longjing tea sold is very delicious, if you want to drink it yourself, just buy the one that costs 900 yuan per catty. Turn right outside the hotel, and then turn left at the intersection to find a pork trotter rice restaurant. The dumplings and pot stickers in the morning are very delicious and fragrant. Turn left outside the hotel and walk to the end after crossing the traffic light, then continue to turn left at the end, turn right 50 meters and there is a Zhiweiguan selling specialties, Longjing Green Tea Egg Yolk Pastry is very good, you can take it home.

Hotel is very well located to the West Lake. Approx 15 mins walk. It is close to the night market and also a number of food halls. There is a coffee shop right downstairs on the right hand side of the hotel which makes great coffee. There is also 7/11 shop. Metro is also downstairs less than a min walk away. First impression checking in wasn’t great - English on checking in was difficult. Probably due to slight language barrier felt not as warmly welcomed as other hotels. I expect hotels that receive foreigners should have basic level check in. They also were very particular on how who should go into each of the three rooms but I said it we will sort this out between us. After that it was fine we went to our rooms. Rooms are quite outdated and could do with a bit of an upgrade especially with handles coming loose. Rooms come with bath robes, tooth brush, toothpaste, combs, Ted Baker toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel) and slippers. They also provide water bottles daily and there are ones you can take free as you head out towards the lift which is a nice touch. The hotel housekeeping staff were the best despite language barrier they were very polite, courteous and professional. Very helpful as well. There was a housekeeping lady who came to help us with wifi as we did not have a China mobile number and she also knew we had three rooms booked. She helped with two of the rooms and asked if the other room needed help but they didn’t. There isn’t much of a place where guest can relax as they come back to the hotel. There is a small space on the left hand side as you enter the hotel which has a football table, toy dispenser machines, limited seating area. For anyone who wants good location to West Lake I would say this is it. However I think there are better hotels out there. Closeness to food and restaurants is a bonus. Rooms are clean but could do with an upgrade. It’s weird to have a window in the shower room that is directly onto the room as doesn’t give much privacy if all lights on. Overall 8/10

Clean and comfortable bed and shower, has basic amenities that is sufficient for a solo traveller and short stay. However they do not provide bottled water daily during housekeeping and when I asked at the front desk they said it was chargeable at additional cost, which is rare for a hotel in China. Location is near Wulin street and west lake.

A very new hotel. Very clean and bed also very comfortable. About 10-15mins walk from the metro station. There are a lots of food around and also can walk to West Lake around 15-20mins. If want to go other attractions places it is very easy to take the public busses around. Toilet very clean. Cleaning lady and man always on standby to clean. The room might be a bit small but everything is there. Bed is very comfy and soft. The centralised aircond system is very good so you have good ventilation although you are taking the bunk bed type. The common area also very big. Only 1 cons is the wall maybe a bit thin, if there are people who kinda selfish talking loud at the corridor you will have to bear with it and if happen your next door neighbour is snoring you might heard about it but all this can be settle by the earplug. Overall its very good and nice hostel with the price.

I love the place. It is very near to the metro station that link directly to the railway station I was taking. Long the street, there are many shops where I walk walk around and shopping. Further down maybe 10mins walk, there are many shops selling snacks and souvenir stuff. It gets very lively at night. Can walk down even further to get to 大马弄 dama lane for breakfast. There is this 煎饺 stir fried dumplings very nice (泮芳春煎饺) get there early as it will get very crowded. There is another deep fried fish slice is very nice too (大马弄蒋师傅酥鱼) nice too. Overall the hotel is quite good. And if you order delivery, they have this robot to delivery to your room. 👍

The hotel is near the Hangzhou East Station. Breakfast is good, buffet style. They even provide washing machine and dryer on the 5th floor and there is a gym room next to it. Will recommend to families and friends.
