"Decided to book this hotel since we were arriving late at night. I wanted to reserve the airport shuttle bus. Managed to contact the hotel via WeChat. The response of the hotel is very fast. They are very helpful in answering all my questions. The room is really clean and big. The hotel reception is very friendly and helpful. They even gave us free disposable raincoats as it was raining while I was leaving. I needed to walk to the metro station which is about 300m away. Overall, this is a great place to stay if you need to be near the airport for a night stay."

It's just a 15-minute walk to the main attractions, and along the way, you can explore charming local streets and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. There are several old-school snack shops nearby, so you can just head downstairs in the morning for authentic wontons and soup dumplings, saving a lot of travel time. The room was spotlessly clean and bright. The window overlooked the street, and pulling back the curtains revealed a lively urban scene. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – and after a day of walking, lying down felt incredibly relaxing. The bathroom had excellent wet and dry separation, and the hot water came quickly and was consistently stable. A comfortable shower instantly cut my fatigue in half. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful. Not only did they hand-draw a tourist route for us, but they also shared tips on how to avoid peak crowds. When we checked out early for an early morning train, the hotel thoughtfully prepared a packed breakfast for us, including bread, eggs, and milk – perfect for grabbing and going. Overall, the experience was incredibly comfortable. There were no fancy frills, just genuine convenience. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I bring my family!"

"Because I had an early flight the next day, I stayed at the Hyatt Place in Terminal 4 last night. I had already booked a scenic room on floors six to eight. However, after checking me in, the young lady at the front desk specifically emphasized that she had upgraded me to a scenic room on the sixth floor. When I told her I had already paid for the slightly more expensive scenic room, she pretended to check her computer and said they had two types of scenic rooms, and mine was the best kind. I was speechless! I believe the most basic service principle in the service industry should be sincerity. The front desk is the face of the hotel, and hypocrisy and deceptive tactics should never become a habit."

"My daughter and I had an amazing stay in Hangzhou. Great hotel and beautiful location. The staff were exemplary. We also loved the robot! We were able to walk to West lake, take a trip across on a boat, and hike up to the tea fields, hills, and cable car. In the morning, we took coffee along the beautiful 五柳巷 and had evening drinks along 中山中路. We were sad to take the train back to Shanghai so soon!"

"After seeing so many negative reviews on Ctrip, I actually feel a bit lucky. I've stayed here twice and haven't encountered any issues, which is quite fortunate! This time I booked a deluxe room, and the front desk assigned me a room in Building 1, which was pretty good. It's probably better than Building 6. The entire building has been completely renovated; aside from the slightly old-fashioned decor, there are no signs of aging. Last time, I stayed in a Luxury Collection lake-view room, and while I didn't expect the same this time, at least the cleanliness was guaranteed. The view outside wasn't a garden view, but it wasn't just rooftops either. Then, regarding the service, perhaps due to the many negative reviews, the service I experienced this time was actually quite good, definitely better than last time. Last time, it felt like a cold, state-owned enterprise vibe – take it or leave it. This time, however, everyone from the main front desk to the morning and evening receptionists in Building 1 was very polite and friendly. They were also very proactive in helping with car requests. I'd like to come back to Xizi Hotel again in the future and hope to continue getting a good room. Also, some reviews mentioned the breakfast being bad, which is a bit of a joke. The breakfast doesn't have a huge variety, but not only is it not bad, every dish is of high quality. It's much better than hotels that offer many options but are all pre-made dishes."

"The lobby, restaurant, and exterior all have a vintage feel. It's fine for a normal stay, but don't set your expectations too high. Sorry, I just can't give it a perfect score. The following is just my personal opinion: I specifically switched to this hotel because I saw its vintage-looking online photos and wanted to take photos in a qipao indoors... But in reality, the restaurant was always unlit when I went in the morning or came back around 7 or 8 PM. Unfortunately, other parts of the mansion aren't as photogenic. The dust ruffle at the foot of the bed in the room was particularly ugly – a high-saturation bright blue with a bedding company's advertisement. It really stood out, and seeing it right as you entered the room felt very insincere. It's supposed to be a themed hotel, yet they can't even get this detail right. They could easily custom-make it in a brown tone, and even an advertisement wouldn't matter then. The hanging plants in the corridor also felt out of place. I suggest putting a small vintage wrought-iron pot over the plastic casing; it wouldn't cost much. If you're a themed hotel, you should really put your heart into it. The room was very cold in winter. The ceiling was quite high, and while the window view was nice, it wasn't warm. Even with the air conditioning at full blast (30 degrees), the room never warmed up. But having a window with a street view did let me experience a 'Republic of China spy' perspective, hahaha."

"Whenever I'm in Hangzhou for a business trip, Xizi Hotel is my top choice. They have several branches, and the front desk is always very welcoming. They even have a Christmas tree up now, adding to the festive atmosphere. The rooms are also very cozy, with warm color schemes and separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom."

The rooms feature a classic garden-style Chinese aesthetic, with particularly spacious bathrooms and good quality toiletries. It's incredibly quiet, making it ideal for families traveling with seniors. The hotel offers various transportation services, and the head of the car fleet is genuinely enthusiastic, providing guests with helpful tour route suggestions. Very nice indeed. My four-day stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!"
