Marriott Hotels in Istanbul

On my first day, I arrived at the hotel early in the morning after an overnight flight. The hotel allowed me to check in early, which was great. However, there was a small incident: a bellhop mistakenly delivered someone else's luggage to my room while I was out. When I returned and saw the package on the floor, I felt quite uneasy. I called hotel staff to handle it, and they sincerely apologized. They immediately moved me to a different room and offered complimentary afternoon tea, which was a nice gesture. Later, when I was trying to book a rental car online, a hotel employee named Kerem was incredibly helpful. I'm very grateful for his patience and assistance.

This hotel is located near another airport in Istanbul. It has excellent facilities, and the front desk staff was very nice, even upgrading our room. You can see planes from the room and the rooftop bar, which offers a great view. However, it's close to the road, so it might be a bit noisy for light sleepers. The breakfast was fantastic, and we even saw some airline crew staying there. The only minor downside to the room was that the shower water was too hot, but thankfully there was also a bathtub with a showerhead, so we ended up showering in the tub.

For my business, I needed to work nearby, so the location was perfect for me. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it for a holiday due to the location. Access to public transport is difficult and requires crossing major roads, and the traffic is a nightmare. I expect more amenities in a 5-star hotel room. There was no bathrobe, insufficient coffee and water, and no toothbrush set. However, everything was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. We only had a small snack at the hotel, which was okay. There were many guests recovering from cosmetic surgery, but this didn't bother us.
