"It’s ok for those who is only thinking about sleep at night but nothing else.They moved us from our first existing room to the other small room for an excuse that they will do some work on the room but the very next day or the immediate day we don’t even know there is another guest apparently came.we paid for bigger room but end up in a small bedroom which was not fair.Power plug has no electricity, walls are cracked all the amenity is way too old I feel like I am living in a musium.However I got what I paid for and that’s how I can convince myself.Thank you Turkey and will see u next time."

"The hotel’s location is very strategic, making it convenient for getting around Istanbul. The staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the breakfast is truly excellent with a very good selection. The only downside during my stay was that the room had an unpleasant smell. I stayed in Room 415, and although I tried running hot water in both the sink and the shower, the odor did not go away. I hope the management can address this issue, as it would greatly improve the overall experience and help maintain the hotel’s good reputation."

"I had a long layover in Istanbul and needed to stay a night outside the airport. I booked this hotel through Trip.com and it was excellent value for money. While the facilities are a bit dated, its proximity to the airport, just a 10-minute drive, is a huge plus. The hotel offers airport transfers for 20 Euros one way, which is super convenient if you have an early flight – just book the shuttle in advance. The 20 Euro fee applies regardless of whether it's one adult or an adult and a child, as was our case. The restaurant across from the hotel is very authentic and reasonably priced, unlike the inflated prices you find in the city center."

"Thank you to the hotel manager, for the warm welcome, the tea, and the early check-in. The hotel and room are warm, cozy, and clean. The room has comfortable beds for a super sleep, a large room with a table and chairs, and a private kitchen in the room. There is also a shared kitchen on the first floor. "We had a wonderful stay at Taxim Hill Hotel, which truly exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, efficient, and always welcoming. A special thanks to Mr. Cihan at reception—he was exceptionally kind and made our experience even more pleasant.Our room was clean, tidy, and fresh, with a fabulous sea view that made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were consistently polite and greeted us with warm smiles, creating a very comfortable atmosphere.The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options with something for everyone—you can enjoy as much as you like.Overall, I can’t fault this hotel at all. While the location is convenient and the room was generally clean, there were several operational issues that should be addressed. Upon check-in, the shower pipe in my room was faulty. The staff promptly arranged for a technician, which I appreciate. However, this indicates that rooms may not be thoroughly checked before guest arrival. A simple pre-check process could prevent such inconvenience. There were also no facial tissues provided in either the room or bathroom. This is a very basic amenity that most travelers expect, particularly at this price level. In addition, the hotel does not offer a coin laundry facility. For an airport hotel that likely serves transit guests, this would be a highly practical addition. The staff were responsive when contacted, and I appreciated the availability of slippers in the room. However, improving basic quality control and ensuring essential amenities are consistently provided would significantly enhance the guest experience. I hope this feedback is helpful for future improvements."

An Experience Worth Remembering Location & Access Situated in the heart of the city’s historic core, this hotel makes exploration effortless. From here, it’s just a short walk to the Grand Bazaar, Sultanahmet, and several key transport links. The setting feels authentic and lively; ideal for guests who want proximity without sacrificing comfort. Room 3219 – Exceptional Comfort The room offered a superb balance of functionality and elegance. It was impeccably clean, featuring plush bedding, perfect lighting for reading or work, and a surprisingly quiet HVAC system, a rarity in city hotels. Small details, like the scent of fresh linen and a spotless bathroom, reinforced the sense of care behind the housekeeping standards. Service & Staff The staff are the heartbeat of this property. Every interaction, from check-in to checkout, reflected professionalism anchored in genuine warmth. They anticipated needs before being asked, making the experience feel personal rather than procedural. This consistency across teams’ front desk, dining, and housekeeping speaks volumes about the culture of service within the hotel. Dining Experience Breakfast was both indulgent and efficient. The buffet selection was diverse, featuring beautifully presented dishes that catered to both international and local palates. The staff handled the morning rush with grace and precision, maintaining quality and attentiveness without any sense of haste. Facilities & Ambience Public areas were spotless and aesthetically cohesive. The fitness and spa areas were well-maintained, creating a serene environment ideal for unwinding after long days in the city. The lounge and lobby were comfortable enough to double as workspaces, a feature that frequent travelers will appreciate. The One Minor Quirk I noticed some early-morning noise, mostly the seagulls, a distant metro vibration, and a faint scratchy sound around 6 a.m. While this didn’t detract from the overall stay, it’s worth noting for lighter sleepers. It’s a subtle reminder that even in the most refined settings, Istanbul’s energy has its own morning rhythm. Final Thoughts What defines the Crowne Plaza Istanbul – Old City isn’t just its luxury—it’s the consistency of experience. Every aspect feels considered and intentional. Having stayed at countless hotels across Europe, the Middle East, and North America, it’s rare to find one that strikes this balance of local charm and international polish. I often recommend property to colleagues who travel as frequently as I do, and this one has already made it to the top of that list. "Stayed 3 nights in this cozy hotel with friends, pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and cleanliness of the hotel. Prime location, thus limited street parking but a 5 mins walk to Taksim square. Bathroom was quite small in comparison to the massive room as the door would block the toilet seat. Friendly English-speaking host, would recommend!"

"Great location! It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Taksim Metro Station, with no steep hills, and there's a SOK supermarket nearby. It must have been pretty empty because they gave me a suite with two king-size beds, which was a pleasant surprise! The underfloor heating was incredibly powerful – a bit too much for a southerner like me, so I had to turn on the AC. Since it's not facing the street, it's relatively quiet. The staff were also very friendly."
