Demiray Hotel Old City

Wonderful location. It's tough with luggage going up and down the stairs, so a transfer is definitely needed. The view from the restaurant terrace is stunning, especially in the evening. We booked this hotel specifically for that view. The pool is small, and a swim cap is mandatory; you'll have to buy one if you don't have one. I wasn't a fan of the massage; it was given by a man, and the price was steep. The sauna and hammam were a nice bonus. The pillows and bed were very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a day of walking around. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend!

I finally got to stay at the Pera Palace Hotel, a place I've longed to visit, and a century-old establishment. My anticipation stemmed from the fact that Agatha Christie, my favorite mystery novelist, completed her famous '****** on the Orient Express' here. Back in the day, I was obsessed with her detective stories, devouring almost every one translated into Chinese. Unfortunately, the room she stayed in is now a guest room and not open for tours. However, Room 101, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Turkey, once resided, is open to the public as an exhibition hall for limited hours. I booked rooms 102, 103, and 104, which are conveniently located next to 101, making it easy to visit, and also offering views of the Bosphorus Strait. The last three photos in the video are exhibits from the Atatürk Museum. The hotel's historic elevator, over a hundred years old, is still operational, but requires an attendant to operate it. During check-in, a staff member took us on a ride, and it felt like stepping back into the 1920s. In essence, the Pera Palace Hotel is more than just a hotel; it's a living history museum. It's a must-visit for anyone who loves literature and history.

Great hotel with a fantastic location in old town. Walkable distance to most major tourist cities. Very clean and high end feel. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. And the food at the restaurant also quite tasty. The only drawn back was that our room even though technically on the second floor , it was still ground level, and right next to the main door. So late at night with the wall a bit thin we keep getting woken up by people coming in and out. Otherwise we would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel has been around for over 20 years. The overall environment is decent, but you really need a car to get around; walking for a couple of days would be quite tiring due to the uphill climbs. Ctrip's international presence is quite weak. I booked through them, and even though I checked in at 12 PM, I didn't get my room key until 8 PM. On top of that, they gave me the worst room on the edge of the property, with a ton of noise. I ultimately had to rely on my Marriott membership to get an upgrade and a room change. The restaurants, however, are all pretty good.

Everything was great and excellent Metro Access: The hotel is a convenient 9-minute walk (about 420 meters) to the Osmanbey Metro Station. This links you directly to Taksim Square, Nişantaşı, and historic sites Neighborhood: Situated in a trendy area surrounded by popular cafes, local restaurants, a pharmacy, and supermarkets. Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue are just a 5-minute drive away. Airport Transit: It takes roughly 38 minutes to reach Istanbul Airport. An airport shuttle service can be arranged via the front desk for an extra fee.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Truly Exceptional Stay at DoubleTree by Hilton! Topkapi Istanbul From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine warmth and professionalism that made our stay unforgettable. The entire team at DoubleTree by Hilton went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed, comfortable, and cared for every single day. A special shout-out to Zineb from guest services, greeted with a warm smile and made check-in a breeze. Ozen & Melisa from reception was incredibly helpful in arranging local tours and dining recommendations — every suggestion was spot-on! Also want to thank Ali & Mustafa from ballboy services, whose attentive and proactive care made us feel like VIPs, who was not only efficient but also shared great tips for exploring the area. This team is truly the heart of the hotel — their friendliness, professionalism, and dedication created a warm and inviting atmosphere we won’t forget. Thank you all for a 5-star experience — we’ll definitely be back!

Upon arrival we received a room facing the main street. We could not sleep well because of the noise of the cars, but the next day the room was replaced with a quieter one. Thanks to the understanding staff. Everything was good, but the room's bathroom is old and needs maintenance and updating.

Hotel is on a great location. Amazing cafe and restaurants by walking distance and few tourists spots on walking discuss the rest by public transport very easy to commute. Hotel had a great vintage vibe with amazing staff working always smiling and their eager to provide customer service is exceptional. Guest relationship officer his name was saif who helped me throughout my stay and guided us marvellously which made our trip smooth and the way he talks with respectful tone I was amazed. Thanks saif and thanks everyone working day and nights

My first night was a disaster because my room's power supply kept cutting off and they took almost 3 to 4 hours to fix it, due to that I couldn't sleep the whole night and my morning plans got wasted too. I asked the hotel manager Mr.Arda to give me an extra night, (he refused), airport transfer on my checkout date , (he refused) , room upgrade, (he refused) , Then Mr Arda promised us a complimentary dinner at the rooftop restaurant and that was amazing .My initial plan was to stay 3 nights but then I extended it for 2 more nights because of 1 man Mr.Karem at the reception , the nicest guy of the hotel , Mr.Karem and Mr.Arda helped us alot and supported us in every aspect, but sorry to say all the other staff members there had just 1 answer. im sorry we cannot help you we cannot help you , I'll definitely visit again, Thanks to Mr.Arda and Mr.Karem ❤️ and lastly thanks to Mr.Servet who told us about the free shuttle service provided by the hotel which takes us to Taksim . Thank you, Double Tree Regards Akif

Earlier hotel, 1. The hotel does not have a toothbrush comb, even a mouthwash cup, a bathtub but no bathtub plug. 2. Breakfast is 4 kinds, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, chips/spring, sausage, fruit with watermelon apple. 3. The price is relatively cheap (relative to other hotels), in the middle of 2 subway stations, one of the shopping centers is very close to 900m, about 10 minutes walk.
