The hotel has a retro vibe. The first time I checked in, I actually thought it was an old, historic hotel because the room decor, furniture, and overall layout had a distinct Japanese style from a bygone era. I later learned that the building was actually torn down and rebuilt, and the current structure is new, but its design intentionally carries on the original classic style. This allows it to retain a nostalgic atmosphere without feeling overly old-fashioned. The room itself was relatively clean, and you could indeed feel the strong retro Japanese character, which was quite distinctive. However, the service experience was rather average. When I asked the front desk for bottled water during my stay, it wasn't provided. There's room for improvement in terms of proactive service and attention to detail. Furthermore, the room I was assigned wasn't in an ideal location, which somewhat detracted from the overall experience. Overall, the hotel's biggest draw is its retro architecture and decor style; those who appreciate this kind of atmosphere might really like it. But considering other hotels in Kobe at a similar price point, both the service and the overall value for money are, in my opinion, just average and don't quite meet the standards one would expect for the price.

The triple room was a bit small. The TV was basically useless for us Chinese guests; couldn't even casually watch any shows. The air conditioner was quite noisy, an old Mitsubishi model. Everything else was okay, I guess. The convenience for getting around was also just average, I'd say it was below expectations. Breakfast, however, was pretty good.
