Hotels near Lummus Park in Miami Beach

We booked this hotel for 3 nights on Booking.com, where it was advertised as a 4 star hotel. The hotel itself is ok but it is definitely not 4 star. Location is pretty good and is close enough to walk to South Beach and Ocean Drive. The reception area is pleasant enough and the staff were ok (they were a little blunt but we found a lot of people on Miami Beach to be like that). Beware that they take a $100 deposit for the minibar in your room, which should be returned within 5 working days if you don't use it. We only checked out today so I'm hoping this will be the case. The pool was the smallest I've ever seen and always seemed to be in the shade (it's in a quadrangle within the hotel). We never went there and spent the days by the beach instead, which is only a few minutes walk away. The restaurant and bar area looks very nice, but in the 3 days we were there we didn't see one person in there. It was dead! The rooms were of a good size and the beds were comfy. The finish of the rooms wasn't great and definitely not what you'd see in a 4 star hotel, but everything worked just fine. There is a safe in the room but it is not secured to anything, which made it feel a little less safe! The bathroom was fine and had a decent shower. If you're looking for somewhere cheaper close to South Beach and you only plan on showering and sleeping there then I would recommend. However, if you want a 4 star hotel and plan on staying there all day to use the pool and bar/restaurant, I would probably avoid.

Pros - Hotel staff was very friendly and tried to help at all times - Location is convenient: very close to the beach, approx. 7 minutes to walk - The price I got was very cheap for Miami - Room was clean Cons - I didn't use the pool, but it doesn't look like a nice place where you want to spend your day. Go to the beach instead. - Room looked old-fashioned and is possibly 20 years old - Wifi was unstable at peak times - it would be all okay for that price, but the AC unit was *so* loud that it was incredibly hard to sleep, even with earplugs. The AC device looked quite outdated. I asked the concierge if there is a way to get another room, but they said that the AC is the same in all of the rooms. It was one of the loudest AC's I've experienced in my life, so I'd expect the management to look into that matter. I wouldn't recommend the hotel if you want to spend your holidays here.

Axel beach hotel was the best experience I could have asked for. We arrived early, and the hotel staff was immediately so welcoming. They allowed us to check in early and gave us great recommendations for things to do while in Miami. The atmosphere at axel beach hotel is so inclusive. We really enjoyed the facilites that included the bar and pool plus the gym. Also, the hotel is so close to the beach!When I come back to Miami, I will most definitely be staying here again!

The hotel is very close to the sea, within walking distance to a commercial street and Spanish Street. It takes 20 minutes by taxi to see Little Havana, Little Haiti and Designer Street. We arrived early, and the lady at the front desk helped us store our luggage first, and we went out to play. In the past few days when I arrived at the hotel, I caught up with the extreme cold that has never happened in a century, so I didn't use the beautiful swimming pool on the top floor! Remember to ask the front desk about their free beach umbrellas and beach yoga on Saturday mornings! The gym needs to use another sister hotel, 20 knives a time. There are also problems in the hotel. After we checked in, we found that the TV was broken and couldn't be repaired at all. Thinking about it, we don't watch TV very much, so we didn't change the room (there is no room to change, the store is full!). The service attitude of the staff is very good and professional.

We stayed at the Moxy for 4 nights and really enjoyed our experience. Chantel greeted us as the front desk and was amazing! The hotel is brand new and has some of the best photo ops to take on property that are Instagram worthy. The staff never missed a beat. We will definitely be back!

The staffs serve well and they’re helpful staff. The first night I couldn’t sleep because the air conditioning was too noises, and the second night I could sleep because I switched off the air conditioning. So I suggest that make mosquitoes nets to instead of sealed windows without fresh air, if use the fans to instead of noises air conditioning may be good for both of gusts and hotel(this hotel name is Freeland Hostel) I haven’t been to staying in generator hotel so no opinions for Generator Hotel.

I’ Don't get Get me wrong this is a really nice hotel but if you're coming to relax and it becomes a little crazy during my nine day stay I had three different rooms the first one was in the courtyard it was very loud especially when the club is going next-door the walls are paper thin so one of the mornings around 3 AM I was woken up by the sound of someone vomiting all night literally for about 2hrs so of course I requested for a new room the second room I was in there about two days and after a long day at the beach i've been sleep for about an hour and I get a knock on my door at about 11 PM telling me that they were having plumbing issues so again I had to pack up my room and move my third roomwas a nice room definitely not an upgrade due to the inconvenience But there were some cons it was in the corner of the hotel right over the club that's playing EDM music all night and then when they're done of course they're cleaning up so all you hear is glasses clinking until about 4 or 5 AM And when I finally checked out all I got was a $50 credit towards my $3000 stay

Worst hotel experience I've had in my entire life. Please don't stay here, it's not worth it at all! 1. The hotel is right next door to a nightclub that blasts aggressive EDM from 10pm to 7:30am, even on weekdays (I stayed here on a Wednesday). I wore heavy duty earplugs, a pillow over my head, and took sleeping pills, and I still wasn't able to fall asleep due to the thumping music that vibrated the whole room. There is no one at the front desk to help, and no one picks up the hotel phone line after hours. 2. On the rare occasion that someone is at the front desk, they are extremely rude and unhelpful. The morning after the nightmarish stay, I went down to ask the manger (Sam) to change my room due to reason 1. He just shook his head, told me to suck it up because I had already paid for my unrefundable stay, and that there was nothing he could do. He said all the rooms were full. When I showed him that there was still availability when I checked online, he said that those rooms were even louder than my room, so I'll be even more unhappy there. Whenever I offered more solutions, he would interrupt me and shake his head and tell me to suck it up. I almost had a panic attack out of frustration, shock at the poor customer service, and lack of sleep. If I were to collapse, he probably would have just told my corpse to suck it up. 3. The room itself was fine, nothing special, solid 2 or 3 star quality. However when we walked in we were overwhelmed by a strong, chemical-y, lemon smell. I'm guessing this was because the rooms aren't properly cleaned and are instead sprayed with cheap Febreze. The smell gave us a headache, so we had to leave immediately and open the windows while we were gone. When we came back, we tried to turn on the AC but it didn't work. We called the front desk but no one was there at 9pm. We had to just suck it up, as Sam would have said.

The location is excellent. Next door to the people mover, Freedom Tower, a 3-5 minute walk to Kaseya Center and Bayside Marketplace, and 5 minute drive to PortMiami. The location doesn’t get much better for downtown Miami. Checkin was odd and hostile—the employees didn’t seem to accept mobile checkin despite the app pushing it. They almost acted like I was the first person to use it. The room was small but expected, and packed with some cool technology. I appreciated the free welcome drink, aluminum bottled water and tote bag. The bed was horrific. The worst sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. It was hard as a rock (I like firm mattresses but this took the cake). I barely slept and woke up numb at times. The drawers under the bed also creaked with every movement made. It was awful. Outside noise wasn’t terrible at the 9th floor, just occasional sirens or motors revving. Room was clean, and was exactly what I expected. If you haven’t looked into them, it’s about the size of a cruise ship cabin and the bed takes the entire width of the room. It’s a cool and different concept. I paid the extra $19.95 for breakfast and it was a letdown—literally just three warm items and then granolas. The fresh fruit and pastries weren’t available. I would pass on this and save the money. The hotels vibes and bars were cool, and definitely made up for some of the shortfalls, but for the bed alone I don’t think I’ll be back.

The hotel room is quite big, and the sanitation is very clean. It's good that it's not in South Beach. It's not so noisy at night, and the hotel's sound insulation is very good, and the construction on the road can't be heard at all. The staff is very enthusiastic and responsible, but the parking is only valet parking, the price is 40 dollars a day
