Apart from the noisy construction work right at the front door, there is nobody to assist with arrival, luggage, and no concierge either. Only ever one person on the front desk and not very happy either! A taxi will drop you on the road out front and then it’s up to you. Booked a Junior Suite for over €300 and it just was not up to standard. Lousy plumbing (not new to old Italian buildings), noisy, dull with lots of confusing light switches, air-con that sounds like a jumbo jet, and no tissues in bathrooms. So does that sound 5 Star? This hotel must have had some prestige back in the day but it would struggle to make a 3 Star ranking today. Location is not good either. Surrounded by graffiti and dirty looking buildings. A decent walk to Duomo, allow at least 15 minutes and very difficult to access Milano Central Station: at least 30 minutes and €30 in a taxi as the traffic is terrible with all the roadworks. Check out some more up to date pics! And stay elsewhere.

The service of the hotel is invincible, much better than traditional high-end luxury hotels. There are only a dozen rooms in the hotel, and the service is one-to-one. The rooms are large, especially suitable for a family. The biggest highlight of the hotel is the invincible view, the most beautiful view of Milan is right in front of your eyes. The breakfast is very good. Ctrip does not include breakfast and the direct restaurant bill is 48 euros per person. It is very good, and the service is very considerate. Since I got up late, the waiter told me to eat slowly. It doesn't matter if we charge after you finish eating. It's really sweet.

The second time I stayed, it was really because the first time was very impressive. This time the room and the big bathtub were really perfect. I was even more satisfied than the first time. A wonderful 5 star hotel. I can't say enough about this hotel. It was unpretentious and wonderful. The device is top notch. Every member of the staff is unbelievably helpful. Gabrielle who manages the front desk in the late afternoon/ evening was particularly helpful. The rooms are great as are the bathrooms. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel in Milan that not overly done with fashionistas this is the place.

Great location — close but just far enough from the Duomo and relevant subway stops to make getting around Milan easy and quick. The staff was so friendly and helpful and clearly had our safety in mind. The room was right below the lively rooftop bar with a great view of the city. The room itself was small but perfect for me, my husband, and young adult son. The rooftop bar was fun and felt so glamorous, too! Their menu was on also topnotch, a great place to enjoy aperitivo and enjoy the nightfall sky. You could hear the slight thump of music from our rooms, but that didn’t bother us at all. The gentleman at the front desk was also so kind and helpful with all our questions from money exchange to metro stops to restaurant recommendations and even fashion advice!

The Hotel Brunelleschi is in a convenient location to the main attractions and amenities of Milan, a 5 minute walk in a safe location. The hotel is known for its' business travelers which is how we knew of the hotel from my husband's previous stays. It is clean and well appointed with a spacious lobby, restaurant and bar along with a large dining room on the lower level serving their breakfast buffet. The room was large,comfortable with an additional small sofa which was also a pull out bed. Multiple charges available. The bathroom was well outfitted with great fluffy towels. Generous breakfast buffet offered hot and cold items with a varied selection, even offering Proseco for those who wanted to make mimosas. Staff at the desk gracious and accommodating to questions and requests. Efficient in arranging our car transportation to the airport on departure.

Hotel location is very good, not 15 minutes to reach Napoleon Street, a straight road for 20 minutes is Milan Cathedral.

The bathroom in number 1 a little primitive but the shower although a bit small is excellent. Breakfast correct and friendly and clearly others enjoy coming to Milan and staying in this hotel. It’s clean and cosy. We like unpretentious old fashioned small hotels and this is well located

The only thing that was good about this hotel is the location, AB 10 mins from the center.... BUT.... I have booked double room for only myself and it was supposed to be 18 kvm... when I got into the room it was far away from 18... more like 12... seems like they gave me the smallest room just bc I was alone even if I paid for a bigger room. After my complaint I got another room that was much better. On the reception they were trying to tell me that that was a standard double room, when I could clearly see on the map of rooms on the wall that that one was the smallest... felt like they put bigger bed and trying to sell it as double, be careful.... On their homepage it says that bathrobe is included, asked for it couple of times in the end they said.... no we don't have it only towels.... ehhh... 4 star hotel... would have been strange if there were no towels either.... There is no bar as it says on the page either... The reception is closed from 23... so no 24h service their either.... When I was checking out they wanted me to pay City taxes that I have already paid on the day of the arrival... Honestly I don't really know why they still keep their stars...

I chose this hotel as I wanted to feel like I was in Italy, not in a modern hotel that could be anywhere and this certainly fit the bill. The breakfasts are actually done in the adjoining restaurant (but there's a door through from the hotel) and we found the staff very accommodating to what we wanted to order - even for my gluten-free requirements. The location is perfect for exploring the key sites of Milan inc. the Duomo and also close to restaurants and bars. There is a rooftop area but to be honest it wasn't that great and we didn't use it. Apparently the restaurant uses it in the evening and charges 20 Euro for a drink and snack there - except on a Sunday when they don't operate so using the terrace is free. But we much preferred to be out in the many cafes nearby rather than the rooftop! It was very clean and the room had a very comfortable bed! The hotel has limited amenities being very small but overall I think it was fantastic value for money and we'd stay here again.

Really rude staff and bad rooms. Terrible air condition and breakfast. DO NOT COME HERE. The staff are so rude it is impossible to get help with anything and they treat you like inferiors. They do not help if you ask and they told us off for using the lift that has no sign of being restricted. The rooms are tiny, the showers overflow and there is always garbage everywhere in the hotel. Super bad experience, would not come back

I’d give it a five if check in was easier. Room is spacious - it looks over the entrance of the metro station so there is some noise from trams, traffic and a nearby hospital. But the room itself is spacious, clean, plenty of hot water and the price was right. Check in was difficult, partly because my phone company had not given my phone international access as we’d requested a week earlier so i could not coordinate access with their agent and early check in is not available. If you are not jetlagged and have a working cell phone I’m sure check in is significantly easier. Also, a warning for anyone taking the express train from the airport - you have to validate your train ticket or a 12 euro train ride becomes a 62 euro trip with fines.
