Hotels in Schwanthalerhohe, Munich

Giving 5 stars because I can’t properly rate the hotel as I never had the chance to stay there. We booked 2 rooms but were stranded in Doha during transit due to the war and had to return to our country after 10 days. I emailed the hotel to explain the situation, but unfortunately our refund request was rejected. I hope the hotel can be more understanding in exceptional situations like this.

Location near to bus station, in front of a good shopping mall and supermarkets. Room was ok, but tv and furniture already old. Checking is after 16:00 but they allowed me to do it iearlier

The space was incredibly cramped; there was barely any room for luggage. The bathroom: you need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and shower slippers. They do provide towels, body wash, shampoo, a hairdryer, and tissues/toilet paper in the room. The toilet flush was confusing; it used an enormous amount of water. If you didn't close the lid, water would splash everywhere. Even with the lid closed, it would be soaked, so I had to wipe it down every time before use. The electric kettle was broken, but since we brought our own, we didn't bother asking the front desk to replace it. Environment: It was very quiet. Our room faced the train tracks, but it didn't disturb our sleep at all (and believe me, I'm a very light sleeper). Location-wise, there's a bus stop right outside, and bus 19 goes directly to Marienplatz. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and small restaurants, so it's very convenient overall. Breakfast: We stayed for 3 days, and the breakfast was exactly the same every morning: meatballs, potato dumplings, bread, beans, bacon (very salty), scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, fruit, cheese, and ham. Honestly, I regretted booking breakfast. The self-service waffle maker salvaged a tiny bit of my impression, even though the taste was so-so (the batter was a pre-made mix), but the kids found it quite interesting.

The hotel isn't in the city center, but its location is excellent. You can take tram 18 or 19 directly from Munich Central Station, and it's right across from the tram stop, which is very convenient! The room was a bit small. We were three people staying together, and it wasn't until after we checked in that housekeeping came to open and make up the sofa bed. The towels for the third person were also provided after check-in, not prepared beforehand. Additionally, there were only two sets of teacups, tea bags, and mouthwash cups until we checked out. What displeased us the most was when my friend was showering and discovered the shower gel and conditioner bottles were empty. We called the front desk multiple times, but no one answered. I had to go downstairs to the reception myself to inquire! We've never had experiences like this before. If we were staying at a guesthouse or a cheap hotel, our expectations wouldn't be high because of the affordable price! However, this time we stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn, which is a 4-star hotel and not cheap. We expected the service to be quite thorough, so we were a bit disappointed. On the positive side, the hotel breakfast was quite good.

This was the most expensive and worst room of our Europe trip. There was an exhibition in Munich and a spring carnival nearby, so the room rate was several times higher than usual. **Environment:** The main plus point is its convenient location. It's very close to the bus station for tours to Neuschwanstein Castle, and there are restaurants and supermarkets right outside. **Facilities:** The room and bathroom were tiny; it was hard to even open our luggage. The facilities were quite old, but at least there was an elevator. **Service:** The breakfast was decent, suitable for Western palates, and the front desk offered 24-hour service. Overall, it was very poor value for money. Plus, it rained, which unfortunately left my child with a bad impression of Germany. 😂

The name is Munich Deluxe Hotel, but the actual check in has to go to MunichCity on the right side of the adjacent side. Because there were no instructions and reminders, I didn't find it at first, and turned around the door for several times. The front desk staff contacted three people, and the two men were not very enthusiastic and lazy. The lady was very enthusiastic and provided some instructions and explanations. There are Netflix and Disney channels on TV, and the speed of free wifi is satisfactory. The free breakfast is good. The category is quite rich and the milk is very fragrant.

I wasn’t expecting a balcony in the room, so that was a nice surprise. The view from it wasn’t anything special, but it was perfectly fine. The room itself was very large. The kitchen came with all the cookware and utensils you could possibly need — I didn’t actually use them, but everything was neatly arranged and spotlessly clean. There were also plenty of seating options inside: bar chairs, a sofa, an office chair, and even outdoor seating on the balcony. All were comfortable.

Уютный отель недалеко от автобусной станции Мюнхена и от места проведения Октоберфеста. Приятный номер и интерьер самого отеля. Администраторы доброжелательные, хорошо говорят по английски. Завтрак лёгкий. Остались только положительные впечатления, с удовольствием ещё приеду.

A beautifully furnished hotel with good location. There is only no breakfast directly in the hotel. And the parking fees come again to the hotel room costs with it. But would come back. Had a family room with 3 beds.
