Five-star review!! The owner was incredibly warm and generous, and the whole family was super nice. It's an old courtyard house, very beautiful with a distinct Shanxi style, which I loved. I specifically chose this place because I'd never stayed in a traditional earthen bed before. Life is all about experiences; things you haven't seen, done, or stayed in before are all worth trying. The owner was truly wonderful, recommending local restaurants, tourist attractions, and helpful tips—explaining everything clearly. I felt the host's warmth and hospitality ❤️🔥

It was just an absolutely amazing experience from the very beginning and until the very end of our stay, not even just in the hotel, but in the city of Pingyao itself in general. Me and my friend are traveling very light and without guides, and in Pingyao we had only one day: from evening to evening of the next day. Huge huge thanks to everyone who made this day unforgettable and ultimately comfortable for tired us: Alice, Helen, Fenny, Hana, and all others who was there for us. The hotel service is simply excellent: as soon as they learned about our late arrival, they immediately offered to meet us at the railway station, which was absolutely the sweetest thing. They brought us to the city gate, met us there, and walked us to the hotel. There they gave us a map, on which they explained in great detail where everything is, what is worth paying attention to, how it is better to build the route, and what opening hours different sights have. They also helped us organize a private transfer to Shaolin Temple the next morning. It was just perfect: we got there in 15 minutes instead of one and a half hours by foot, and after our walk in the temple they met us and brought us back. Also on the evening of arrival they helped us immediately buy the ticket for visiting all attractions of the city, valid for three days. And also they advised us where to eat, and gave us a hotel discount in both places. We did not regret it even once, the food was amazingly delicious in both places! The hotel itself is just wonderful: it really looks exactly like in the photos. You want to photograph every corner and record how the sparrows are chirping on the roof, and how two wonderful cats are meowing. The room also matches and even exceeds expectations. A huge kang bed, very comfortable. Excellent shower with everything needed. Breakfast is included in the stay: the traditional Chinese one was very tasty! Unfortunately, we did not manage to eat the egg, it was freshly boiled and still hot, but we were hurrying to Shaolin Temple by opening time. Also the hotel has a laundry service, and special thanks for that too! Washing and drying were very fast, and we got our nicely smelling clothes back already after four hours, which was critical for us, because we were leaving the same day. We felt like we really were honored guests, and we really appreciated it, even if only for one day.

The homestay is located on the edge of the west gate, close to the city wall, close to the parking lot, quiet, general facilities, small rooms, no meals, ordinary homestay level, not comfortable, but still clean, the service is very warm, the National Day price is really expensive, the scenic spot can't help it, But I was disappointed in Pingyao and will never come again.

Meisu is relatively new and clean. The location is very close to the core area and it is convenient to visit the ancient city. The key is that the staff is very friendly and enthusiastic, and several girls are very conscientious. No matter what your needs, ask for recommendations, change plans, seek convenience... Miss sisters can help you. This time, the parent-child room was booked, which was interesting and bright. There is a leisure area on the small courtyard and the roof, which greatly improves the comfort of slow life. The roof terrace can directly see the scenery of the city building. In addition, there are hidden extra points. There is a makeup travel photography service in the store. Interested tourists are more than a little more convenient. The owner was warm and friendly, treating guests with genuine kindness and even offering thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and authentic cuisine. The location is superb, making it incredibly convenient to explore the ancient city while still being away from the noisy crowds, allowing for a relaxed and comfortable stay. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Pingyao!

The innkeeper is very friendly and the architectural style of the courtyard is full of cultural connotations and historical sedimentation. It is highly recommended for families who want to deeply experience the authentic culture of Pingyao Ancient City. The location is very good. It is very close to the best and largest attraction, the County Government. The room is as described in the picture and the price/performance ratio is good. It's also a good place to take photos and check in! The bathroom facilities are also very clean, and the bedding is white and odorless. The internal temperature was also moderate. It can be seen that the boss is a person who pays attention to details. The internet and TV are also high-speed and have many channels. It feels so worth it! I will be back. I was on a business trip to Pingyao Ancient City and specifically asked a colleague to recommend a hotel with the most antique charm. It's very close to South Street, but you wouldn't realize it from online pictures. After the staff explained it to me, I was quite impressed. I originally thought rooms near the main scenic area would be expensive, but this uniquely styled upscale hotel was surprisingly affordable. By the way, the receptionist was young and handsome, and very patient in explaining everything. Thumbs up! 👍
