Service: Excellent and unique, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They offer airport/train station pick-up and drop-off services if you contact them in advance. Environment: Located just outside Pingyao Ancient City, right next to the old Pingyao train station. It's beautiful and quiet, and you can enjoy the night view of Pingyao Ancient City from your room. Facilities: The room has a mini-bar and a small refrigerator, and all soft drinks are complimentary. Cleanliness: The housekeeping staff were all very pleasant, and the room was spotlessly clean.

Facilities: The room size is generous, and the amenities are standard. The showerhead mount is quite loose. The central air conditioning cools very well. Value for money: Decent. Breakfast: Absolutely terrible, to the extreme. This is the worst breakfast I've had among the sixteen-plus hotels I've stayed at during my self-driving tour in Shanxi! No fried eggs, no ham, sausage, or bacon – none of them. There wasn't even fried rice. When I asked why there was no coffee machine, I was told it was on the first floor. The breakfast restaurant is on the second floor; are guests expected to go down to the first floor to get coffee? I even used a Ctrip membership breakfast voucher for this, so I essentially wasted my breakfast benefit. Bed: Quite comfortable. Parking: Underground parking available, which is a plus. Location & Transportation: Basically located between Zhenguo Temple and Shuanglin Temple, in the urban area of Pingyao. Laundry: Two machines.

This Mercure hotel truly lives up to the Accor brand's reputation. The room design and color scheme are right up my alley – simple yet very cozy. The room was clean, the bedding was super comfortable, and the toiletries smelled amazing! I forgot to book breakfast in my haste, but the lovely lady at the front desk kindly added two complimentary breakfasts for me when I checked in, which was incredibly thoughtful. The breakfast itself was delicious and had a great variety. The hotel is also conveniently located very close to Pingyao Ancient City and Shuanglin Temple, both just a 10-minute drive away. Definitely a hotel worth staying at!

Excellent! I've been here for three nights and am still staying for a few more. The room is clean, tidy, and completely odor-free. The owner is incredibly kind. I cut my hand at Qiao's Family Compound and didn't take care of the wound. The next day, due to the hot weather, it became infected while I was out shopping, which really scared me. I couldn't find a clinic, so I called the owner to ask where I could find medical help. The owner was so nice; first, he told me there was one outside the North Gate, and then he quickly checked for information and called me back to say there was a Chinese medicine clinic nearby. He even called to confirm they were open. When I got there, they couldn't bandage the wound, so I had to take a taxi back to the inn. The owner was amazing and drove me to find a doctor himself 😭😭😭. He helped me get my wound successfully bandaged, preventing it from getting worse. I'm truly touched. The guesthouse auntie is also wonderful, a real extrovert (E-person), very cheerful and chatty. She's great, loves to chat, haha! The breakfast is also very good: steamed eggs, pumpkin, red dates, millet porridge, and steamed buns. It's very healthy. It's good to eat something simple and clean like this in the morning, much healthier than the spicy noodles we usually have for breakfast in Chongqing. Since I'm staying for several nights, I've decided to copy and paste this review so I don't have to retype it every time I leave a comment...

The room layout was very standard and well-proportioned. The bedding was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They even brought dumplings to our room on Dongzhi (Winter Solstice) night, which was a lovely touch. The place was clean and tidy, and it's very close to the ancient city.

The hotel is located just outside the North Gate of the old city, making transportation very convenient. Parking right outside the entrance is also a plus. The self-service breakfast was generally good, and the staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. The room amenities were complete, the bedside outlets were very convenient, and the mattress was super comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. It's a shame that the famous light show has been suspended for a long while now, especially with fewer crowds in the old city as Chinese New Year approaches.

I booked this hotel by chance and was pleasantly surprised! The overall decor is simple yet elegant, and the common areas are clean and refined. The guest rooms have excellent natural light and ventilation, and all the smart amenities are convenient and easy to use. The service is incredibly detailed; they respond quickly to any issues and are always friendly. The breakfast offers a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. Considering the facilities, service, and location, it offers much better value for money than other hotels in the same price range. I genuinely recommend it!

Highly recommended to friends who want to see and see Pingyao! The hotel is 400 meters away from the theater, and it is super close to walk. After watching the show, the return trip is super worry-free. Located in the ancient wind streets, the ancient archway at the door is very Pingyao, the room is clean and bright, and the bedding is clean and comfortable. Full self-service check-in saves time and effort, self-service washing and drying equipment is too intimate, and there is no pressure to travel and laundry. Ancient charm environment + perfect facilities, travel accommodation is in place!

The service was warm and attentive, and the hygiene was excellent. It's very close to the ancient city, and they even offer high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off. You can also get a free ride to the ancient city by appointment. Plus, there's a free experience to try on Jin merchant's young madam Hanfu for photos! Definitely a top choice.

The hotel's location is super convenient, just across the road from Pingyao Ancient City. There are plenty of unique restaurants nearby. The facilities are modern and well-equipped, and the breakfast is pretty good too. A special shout-out to the front desk staff – they were incredibly warm, responsible, and provided tons of helpful tourist information. Highly recommend!
