Hotel location is very good, shopping street is close by, five minutes walk to the beach, it can be said to be quiet in the middle of trouble, has been recommended to friends, the partition of the balcony is best frosted isolation If the requirements for western food are not so high, this buffet breakfast is still okay. The waiter is very nice. I will take the initiative to ask you for drinks and coffee, and I will take it for you. Of course, I can also take it myself. I love western breakfast so it feels very much satisfaction

hotel done fixed their mistake from the website I booked. When we arrived they told us we need to pay extra tax & no bkft included. But we showed them the itinerary that we payed. Hotel( Guillermo ) initiatively solve the mistake for us, which is a very good move! Allow us to enjoy more in the beautiful trip. Restaurant waiters are super kind and pay attention on their guests which is five star service we expected all the time. Thanks Walter giving us a wonderful experience. Also the one who assisted us bring luggage downstairs in this morning, Axel was super detail oriented in service, perspected our needs!! He deserved more! Thanks for those beautiful exp. your colleagues made our trips easy & enjoyable!

It was OK, but not great. The shower half worked (just a dribble from the main head but the hand-held bit did work), the wifi pretty much only worked on the balcony and was still really slow at times, the ATM in the lobby didn't work when I wanted it (but did seem to be working a couple of days later). Staff could have been a bit more helpful to be honest - I had to go down and ask twice for towels after we'd checked in. It seems there's no restaurant on-site any more, you have to go across the street to a cafe for breakfast but that was fine (once we'd asked, might be better to tell guests that at check-in) and was variations on eggs, toast and coffee. As others have said, there's a bar across the (other) street that does play music but we didn't find it that disturbing in our room, only just audible over the aircon fan. Our travel agents booked us here as they couldn't find a room in a resort. I was very happy with the location: short walk to town but far enough from most of the noise. I can't understand why it was more expensive than an all-inclusive resort though, maybe location, maybe late booking / availability?

I would not recommend this hotel. There was no water supply in the room and electricity supply in the communal area (which means no lift) for our last night of stay. We have to carry our heavy luggage down the stairs at check out. Receptionist promised to refund the money for the last night, but our booking agent said the hotel is not reachable as they never reply to phone calls or emails, so our refund request is still on hold. The hotel committed to proceed with our refund immediately but obviously this is not the case. I am really disappointed with my stay.

I made a reservation for my family while they were visiting Mexico and on the email it stated that they would have until 3 am to check in. They were at a wedding in another town and could not check in until later because of the distance. Since it was already midnight and they knew they were an hour away they called the hotel numerous times because Wyndham states that you can make special arrangements with the hotel directly if you plan to check in late. No one ever answered! No big deal they will be there before 3am. They ended up getting a flat tire and it took forever to get help to fix it. Again, visiting from another Country. No one ever answered the front desk again. I called Wyndham directly and they tried calling…no one answered. My family gets there at 3:10am and are turned away and refused! Again, reservations already made for 2 rooms. They have been through a lot and stuck. The reservation department said they could not help me but to call in the morning and speak to Wyndham customer service directly. Ok, but what about my family? Luckily they found a nearby random hotel and just checked in. They have an elderly lady with them with health issues and had to deal with someone that first off never even answered at the front desk at all from 12am-3am. Not even when Wyndham reservations called. I’m sure this place is nice but I’m just annoyed because I’ve been to enough hotels all over the place to know that accommodations can be made. I’m just going to stick to Hiltons.

I don’t even know where to start. Residence Inn at Marriot Playa Del Carmen has to be on of my pleasant hotel experiences ever. Starting from the positive vibe you feel as soon as you enter the premises all the way to when you checkout, they make you feel like a truly valued guest. Staff Everyone keeps smiling at you and they always try their best to accommodate your requests. Willy(security) was always there to assist whenever we arrived at the hotel. He was very professional and knowledgeable of the area, so he could put you on the right track regardless of which destination you were trying to get to. Gabriela (front desk) was super pleasant to work with during our check-in, when we had to extend our stay and every others time we had to request assistance from her. She always had a smile on her face and truly made us feel welcome. Cleanness The hotel appears to be brand new, with modern amenities and great décor. They keep all the common areas squeaky clean. I had to work from my room, so oftentimes when Domingo and Paulina came by to clean the room, I was in the middle of a meeting, but they never gave up on me and kept coming back until they made sure my room was clean on daily basis. Amenities Considering it is a hotel, they have an amazing gym and rooftop pool. I was hesitant about working out there at first when I made a reservation, but after seeing the equipment, size and clean environment they have at the gym, I actually looked forward to working out in the mornings. Food They serve decent breakfast(included) in the mornings between 7 to 10 am. They also have a specious dining area, so you will never have an issue finding a table. Waiters are also amazing, they try everything they can to make sure you have a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for an amazing experience, we will be back!

This was our second vacation trip to the Xcaret Mexico hotel. We really enjoyed the ”ALL fun inclusive” experience, with exclusive transportation and access to ALL Xcaret group parks. We were a family group of 5 rooms, with combination of adults, and adults/children in several of the rooms/suites. We had two concierge services representatives (K.C. and Laura), and they were very attentive and accommodating to our needs, requiring two suite changes to better suit our needs. They also helped us with the restaurants' and parks' reservations (for those which required it), and also with the wheel chair arrangements for my mother-in-law. The restaurants are big, and even though the hotel was fully occupied, we did not feel crowded or had to make lines to enter the restaurants. A most do is the Sunday brunch at the ”Las Cuevas” restaurant. Their meat and seafood offerings were way above what I was expecting, with even a Tuna processing experience made by the chef, ending in a delicious Tuna tartar appetizer. My wife is FULLY vegan (I am not), and we went to their vegan restaurant ”Bio”, and were able to taste almost ALL of their breakfast and lunch menu offerings, with every one having its own palate pleasing taste. Add to that their freshly pressed juices shots, and specialty frozen shakes. By the third day, Xiomara greeted us by our names, and waiter Edgar had known what we already tasted, and ”took care” of us. Kudos to both of them, for understanding and living a true ”costumer service”. This hotel is so well designed, that even there were live bands throughout the lobby and infinity pool areas, the volume was not overwhelming, and you can relax at another area, without it bothering you. Each restaurant had some special drinks, which you can enjoy, so make sure you ask the waiter for the ”special cocktail” of the day. We witnessed two ”destination weddings”, and the open area activities did no interfere with our time to enjoy the hotel amenities, so thank you for that. We even enjoyed another ”shot” of ”free” mariachi's songs while walking near them. On Sunday, we were able to enjoy catholic Sunday mass at the Xpiral chapel. All in all, my family and us had a blast, with ”not enough time” reviews from each and every one of them. We plan on coming back and visit some of the park attractions we did not have time to try, as well as enjoy again the amenities this hotel has to offer its guests. The weather was hot and humid, as it has been in every place in the world at this latitute. Be prepared and drink lots of water! ¡Muchas gracias por poner sus corazones al servicio de sus huéspedes! Celeste, the manager was always available within healthy boundary hours. She is available to reach with her WhatsApp contract. She will help you with any question you have. The clientele is a mix of older and younger people when I was there. From Mid-20s to late-60s (retirees, digital nomads, scuba diving tourists and fanatics, couples, families (no children, just young adults), and people on sabbaticals). The space was clean and well maintained. There were a few off pieces like the door frame to room was off alignment. The furniture was dinged and scraped in many places. There was a missing large carpet that was shown in the pics but overall most of what you see in the pictures are true but somewhat outdated. As with almost every property in Mexico in the hospitality industry the current reality is not exactly matching with the past photo albums presented on their websites. People come and go and as a consequence the place gets some wear and tear through the process. So don’t expect everything to look as nice as the photos. Despite these small things, the bikes are decent for rental and you can get almost anywhere on the island in 2 hours. The neighborhood is safe. There is a gym across the street and many restaurants nearby. The guests are respectful, kind and friendly. The staff are polite, helpful and flexible. With all that said, I definitely recommend this space.
