Hotels in Nan'ao, Shenzhen

We stayed at the White House Shenzhen Nan'ao Beach Seaview guesthouse with a friend — and we were absolutely delighted! The hotel is wonderful, the atmosphere is great, and everything was top‑notch. A huge special thanks to a young member of the staff! He really helped us out and helped us call a taxi for the return trip. The service and attitude towards guests are amazing. We’ll definitely be back!

Let's be objective. First, the service was genuinely good; my small requests were all met, and the breakfast was decent. They also gave us a 100 RMB dining voucher. Now for the issues: 1. The toilet only has a curtain – who'd feel comfortable using that? 2. The shower is tiny, 0.5x0.5 meters (0.25 sq m), and also just has a curtain. 3. You'd think they're short on space, but then there's a huge open-plan bathtub. 4. The air conditioning was terrible; even at 16 degrees, I was sweating, and the walls kept radiating heat at night. 5. The room is definitely old and needs a renovation. I'd stayed here twice in a sea-view room when it first opened, and it was quite good back then, though the price was higher. Last night, I had dinner and drinks at the adjacent ShanYe restaurant and didn't want to drive, so I took the last available room (besides a family room). Honestly, 600 RMB isn't expensive for the summer, but it's not particularly cheap either. The facilities just don't match the price point. However, walking a bit up the hill this morning, the new MiYue hotel offers the same room type for a similar 600+ RMB, and it felt much better – probably because it's new. Overall, the experience was very mediocre.

The room offers a superb sea view; you can literally lie in bed and gaze at the ocean. The guesthouse environment is clean, hygienic, and quiet. They provide complimentary breakfast with both Chinese and Western options, and the food tastes great. The room's sound system is absolutely fantastic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Overall, the stay was an excellent experience. I'd be doing myself a disservice not to give it a perfect score. I will definitely be back next time!

We checked in on Friday afternoon. Driving there was quite a roller coaster – steep inclines and declines, but the hotel is right by the sea. Since we were traveling as a family, the staff at the front desk saw we had a lot of luggage after we parked and proactively helped us carry it to the lobby. We arrived at 4 PM, and for the price of 392💰, they upgraded our sea-view balcony room to an even better location. The windows in the hallway had a unique, ship-cabin-like design, which was a nice touch. However, there was a leak in the hallway, possibly from the air conditioning or a roof waterproofing issue. This unexpected situation meant we had to be extra careful with the kids and elderly walking through. Once inside the room, I have to say, the usable space was incredibly high. My mom was even surprised at how big the room was, and the balcony was huge too. Listening to the sound of the waves while watching the sunset 🌄 was absolutely unbeatable at this price point! Although some of the in-room facilities looked a bit dated, the shower had great water pressure and the equipment seemed fairly new – it felt as refreshing as a university dorm shower. The hotel offers direct access to the beach downstairs, plus there's a popular seaside restaurant (which was pretty good value for money). We spent the afternoon with 'The Old Man and the Sea' (my mom taking photos at the seaside restaurant) while I took the kids to play in the water. It was an incredibly worthwhile experience! Several friends who saw my photos are already planning to book, hahaha 😁

Tomaya is highly recommended! This hotel truly delivers an immersive escape from the city's hustle and bustle. You can open your window to the sea and listen to the waves while lying in bed. Nestled in the secluded Yougan Bay, it's exclusive to guests, keeping out the crowds of Dameisha and Dongxi Chong. You get to enjoy an entire pristine glass-like sea and a private beach all to yourself. With lush greenery and mountains surrounding you, it instantly isolates you from urban anxieties, creating an incredible atmosphere. The overall design is a super-healing Wabi-sabi minimalist style 🏡. It preserves large areas of original old trees, built into the mountains and facing the sea. Whether you're on the terrace, by the pool, or at the pure white seaside chapel, any photo taken here is a healing, atmospheric masterpiece, perfect for stunning shots 📸.

To be fair, the service was very good. Before we arrived, the hotel staff already contacted us and we could tell them what we needed via WeChat. The complimentary photo shoot was quite a nice touch. Even though the session was very short, the photos turned out great for a free service. The room was clean and spacious enough. Having said that, I would probably not stay more than 2 nights here. There was only 2 types of breakfast to choose from. The restaurant at the hotel was quite expensive and slow. And the location was a nightmare. You have to order delivery or take a cab to get any food or drinks.

An excellent travel experience!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍 This trip to Dapeng exceeded my expectations; the stunning sea views truly live up to their reputation! The room offered expansive views with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the ocean. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the sea breeze and quietly watching the tide ebb and flow, especially with the magnificent sunset in the evening, created a fantastic atmosphere. The guesthouse itself was clean and tidy, with exquisite soft furnishings and comfortable bedding, ensuring a great night's sleep. The owner was warm, attentive, and responsive. It's very close to the beach, making walks convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it's a healing and relaxing retreat, making it an excellent choice for a weekend getaway. I'll definitely come again!

STAFF APPRECIATION: Simply wonderful. I encountered many staff members during my stay, working in the hotel itself, the various cafes and restaurants, and on the beach. Every single one was professional and kind and so very warm. Several of the young people working there also spoke English, which was an unexpected pleasure and convenience for which I was grateful. However, I owe a special thanks to the lovely little sisters at the front desk, Catie and Xiao Kue. Especially Catie. This sweet young woman took exceptional care of me during my stay, seeing to every need, answering every question (in English, no less), and patiently guiding my drivers to the location when I arrived or chose to go out and explore. I am getting older now and often require clear instructions and visual aids. 😅 She kindly offered both. 非常感谢。🙏 HOTEL REVIEW: There are multiple warnings given before and during the stay about ongoing construction next door, but it had minimal impact on my stay and, if you're out exploring and playing, you won't even notice it by the time you return in the evening. As promised, it started at breakfast time and concluded by 6pm in the evening around dinner time every day. I choose this hotel deliberately because, while a little more expensive than its competitors and a bit off the beaten path, it seemed to offer more convenience and privacy. I was so relieved to see that this was true. Their beach is small, but well-maintained and private, which meant no crowd and plenty of opportunity to take people-free pictures and simply sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea. There was also no shortage of dining options on the resort itself as well as nearby. Several fun, beautiful places to visit are also located a short drive away. However, if you're looking for a retreat, a place to simply rest and be close to nature, away from crowds, this place offers that as well. It was a welcome respite. I saw couple, families with children, and even a few other foreign guests all enjoying their time here. 🏖 Because I was on a budget this time, I chose the lowest priced room and was prepared to sacrifice my view of the sea. Unexpectedly, I didn't have to. This was a very happy surprise. ☺️ Though, I'll definitely try and splurge on a room on a higher floor next time as being near the entrance could sometimes be a little loud when guests arrived. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my time here and hope to return someday. TLDR; Wonderful, attentive staff; private, convenient location; stunning views; and several dining options all offer a very pleasant, worry-free getaway during peak season. Well worth the price and the journey. Every kind of traveler will find something to enjoy here.

This beachfront hotel really hit all my needs! The location is super convenient, just a few steps to the beach. The sand is fine and soft, and the water is crystal clear. I specifically chose to come during the new moon/full moon and sure enough, I saw the stunning 'glass sea' effect. After playing on the beach, there are dedicated rinse-off taps right outside the hotel entrance, so no need to track sand back into the room. In the evenings, the surrounding streets are incredibly quiet, with absolutely no noisy disturbances, so I slept very soundly. The service details were exceptional; all the staff greeted us with smiles, and anything we needed was promptly delivered to our room. When we checked in, they even helped us take our luggage directly to our room door and offered complimentary iced lattes, which were so refreshing on a hot day. In the lobby, they had plenty of straw hats and woven bags available for free rental for photos, and also sand toys for kids, which saved us the hassle of bringing our own. Dining also exceeded expectations. The pho at the noodle station during breakfast on the second floor was particularly delicious. Our first lunch upon arrival was Thai food at the hotel, and the taste was great and very good value for money. The 'Zhuguang' Seaview Hot Tub King Room we booked was an amazing experience. It offered ocean views from the window, a private hot tub inside the room, and even a projector for movies. It's perfect whether you're traveling as a couple or with kids.

The beach is right downstairs, and the view from the bed is beautiful. The staff offers luggage assistance. The room is a bit small, only about 5-6 square meters, so there's practically no room to move around after the bed is placed in it. The location doesn't offer a full sunset view; you can only see the sun setting behind the mountains, not the sun setting over the sea. Aside from the small room and basic amenities, I would still recommend it.
