Hotels in Nan'ao, Shenzhen

It's amazing to be by the beach and to wake up and see this. But it's worth noting this is a homestay and not a hotel so sometimes the standards expected of a hotel may not be there. My personal view is that small minor inconveniences are ok and this homestay in particular is rather responsive in service (ask to clean the floor as there is sand, and to refill the soap) - just that I came from Holiday Inn earlier and I can see some differences. They have a Chinese video platform provided via a projector so you can view quite a lot of Chinese programmes. The location is the best and they have a cafe/restaurant associated with another homestay that serves pricey but nice food with good ambience, called Banyan Haven, so check it out.

We brought our one-and-a-half-year-old twin babies to Nan'ao for a vacation, and after comparing several places, we ultimately chose Xiyu·Jian Private Hot Spring B&B. The overall experience far exceeded our expectations, and I have to give it a serious commendation! The B&B's location is incredibly convenient; it's a short walk to the beach. With two little ones, not having to travel long distances was a huge relief and made getting around super easy. The room type we had featured a private courtyard and an exclusive hot spring, offering excellent privacy. There was no need to worry about crowds. After playing in the sand, the kids could enjoy a warm bath, which was clean and comfortable. My two little boys had a blast playing in the water in the courtyard. What truly impressed me was the relaxed atmosphere. The owners weren't overly intrusive; there was no forced sales pitch or complicated check-in routine. They even upgraded our room! I'm so grateful ❤️ We didn't plan any itinerary this time, just rested at the B&B and casually strolled along the beach. Not having to rush or constantly manage the kids finally freed us from the usual chaos and anxiety of parenting. Facing the sea, the environment was quiet and healing. The accommodation offered an expansive view, with stunning sea views. The room hygiene was meticulously maintained, the facilities were complete, and the service was warm and attentive. It's truly ideal for families with multiple children and mothers traveling with their kids. Escaping the daily grind of city life, spending a few leisurely days here allowed both my body and mind to completely relax. It's definitely a hidden gem for family trips with kids near Shenzhen. I'll make this my top choice next time we visit Nan'ao with the children. I highly recommend it to parents traveling with kids!

My stay in the tranquil king room was excellent overall, perfect for travelers looking to relax and unwind. The room had a quiet and elegant ambiance, with superb soundproofing – I barely heard any outside noise at night, which significantly improved my sleep quality. The room was spacious, and the king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable with a mattress that was just right in terms of firmness. The bedding was clean, soft, and the duvet was dry and odorless. The room was meticulously cleaned, and the hygiene was top-notch. All facilities were well-equipped, hot water was plentiful, and bathroom amenities were fully stocked. The indoor lighting was soft, and the decor was simple and comfortable, making me feel very relaxed in the room. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient with check-in and check-out, and they responded promptly to any requests. The hotel environment was serene, yet travel was quite convenient. It's suitable for both business trips and vacations, offering great value for money overall. My stay was very pleasant, with no disappointments. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit and sincerely recommend it to everyone.

The room offers a superb sea view; you can literally lie in bed and gaze at the ocean. The guesthouse environment is clean, hygienic, and quiet. They provide complimentary breakfast with both Chinese and Western options, and the food tastes great. The room's sound system is absolutely fantastic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Overall, the stay was an excellent experience. I'd be doing myself a disservice not to give it a perfect score. I will definitely be back next time!

Let's be objective. First, the service was genuinely good; my small requests were all met, and the breakfast was decent. They also gave us a 100 RMB dining voucher. Now for the issues: 1. The toilet only has a curtain – who'd feel comfortable using that? 2. The shower is tiny, 0.5x0.5 meters (0.25 sq m), and also just has a curtain. 3. You'd think they're short on space, but then there's a huge open-plan bathtub. 4. The air conditioning was terrible; even at 16 degrees, I was sweating, and the walls kept radiating heat at night. 5. The room is definitely old and needs a renovation. I'd stayed here twice in a sea-view room when it first opened, and it was quite good back then, though the price was higher. Last night, I had dinner and drinks at the adjacent ShanYe restaurant and didn't want to drive, so I took the last available room (besides a family room). Honestly, 600 RMB isn't expensive for the summer, but it's not particularly cheap either. The facilities just don't match the price point. However, walking a bit up the hill this morning, the new MiYue hotel offers the same room type for a similar 600+ RMB, and it felt much better – probably because it's new. Overall, the experience was very mediocre.

Overall, it was decent. The room environment was fine, but the location isn't ideal for families with strollers, a bit of a hassle. The service was very good. I accidentally left my earphones, and the staff found them and mailed them back to me. Their service attitude deserves a big thumbs up! We didn't get to take the scheduled photos, which was a bit disappointing as we missed out on a family portrait. While the sea here didn't have the rumored 'glassy' effect, it was at least clean and suitable for kids to play in, which I really liked.

To be fair, the service was very good. Before we arrived, the hotel staff already contacted us and we could tell them what we needed via WeChat. The complimentary photo shoot was quite a nice touch. Even though the session was very short, the photos turned out great for a free service. The room was clean and spacious enough. Having said that, I would probably not stay more than 2 nights here. There was only 2 types of breakfast to choose from. The restaurant at the hotel was quite expensive and slow. And the location was a nightmare. You have to order delivery or take a cab to get any food or drinks.

The cleaning staff were meticulous, and requests were promptly attended to. The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and finding food. Overall, the service was attentive and thoughtful, offering fantastic value for money. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

The rooms are clean and tidy, and the public areas on the first and second floors are well-maintained. The beach is right outside, and you can enjoy sea views from the rooms. The service is excellent; they help with luggage, and there are umbrellas available to borrow at the entrance. The hotel also provides sand toys for guests, and transportation is very convenient.

My favorite staycation hotel with a sea view this year! A great place to relax on the weekend. The environment is quiet and elegant, with stylish design, and the view outside the window is fantastic. Waking up in the morning and opening the window, you're greeted by a 180-degree view of the Klein blue sea. The butler was very thoughtful; they washed and folded my clothes and left them at the room door. It was a lazy weekend, perfect for switching to a comfortable pace. The room and bathroom ceilings have speakers, but they only play local music. It would be even better if they could connect to a phone via Bluetooth so I could play my own music.
