Hotels in Window of the World/Shenzhen Happy Valley, Shenzhen

We stayed at the Intercontinental from August 31st to September 3rd – two adults and children aged 16 and 10. We chose a deluxe room with a garden view (which actually offered views of both the garden and skyscrapers) with two double beds. From the pictures, the beds looked large, but in reality, they were more like 1.5-person beds. The room itself was decent, but upon arrival, we had concerns about the cleanliness. We asked the staff for a cleaner room. They asked us to wait, and given our initial disappointment with the room, the hotel decided to compensate us with an upgraded room. That's when the magic began, as we found ourselves in an apartment! It featured a beautiful living room, a large master bedroom, and another room with two separate beds. There were two bathrooms and three toilets. It was a very spacious and beautiful room; we can't even imagine how much it costs. This upgrade was arranged by a hotel staff member named Dafne. She was so concerned that we were upset and wanted to make our stay more enjoyable. She certainly succeeded, as the room was simply magnificent. Additionally, we were constantly asked if everything was alright and if we were satisfied. The hotel breakfasts were excellent, with everything you could need. Fresh vegetables, fruits, yogurts, omelets, meats – you definitely wouldn't leave hungry. They also served delicious coffee and many fresh juices. The hotel has a fantastic pool and water park; even at 40, you can still enjoy the slides! It was our daughter's birthday, and Dafne helped us order a cake and arrange a lovely presentation during breakfast. Of course, the hotel isn't new, but it has a great atmosphere, is cozy, and the staff tries their absolute best. We really appreciated the attention. The hotel's location is truly convenient; it's easy to catch a taxi or find places to eat nearby. The room facilities are well-maintained, the bathroom and toiletries all work great, and everything is spotlessly clean. The bedding is very comfortable. The front desk staff were very polite, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the experience; staying here made my trip hassle-free.

The room facilities are complete and it's very clean, a non-smoking room with no strange odors. You can see Window of the World from the window. The king-size bed is a bit soft, but the children's bed is just right. The breakfast buffet is quite rich and the taste is decent. Yitian Plaza is downstairs, there's a food street nearby, and a metro station not far away, making transportation convenient. However, the underground parking lot is on B3 of Yitian Plaza and is quite old. On rainy days, there's a bit of an odor... I hope it can be upgraded and renovated in the future.

The location is excellent, right next to Yitian Holiday Plaza and opposite Window of the World, with plenty of food options nearby. The lobby has a strong, sweet cream scent, giving off K11 vibes, and the ceiling mimics the Venetian Macao's blue sky. There's an outdoor swimming pool on the 2nd floor, but you can't get in with just your room card; you need to register your fingerprints first. This time, my room was on the 9th floor with a balcony overlooking a food street. The view was average, and it was very hot this season, leading to some noise at night. The soundproofing in the room was mediocre, and occasionally I'd hear water flowing through pipes in the ceiling for about 10 minutes. Food delivery robots are available, but they don't bring orders up automatically; you have to call the front desk to have them delivered. There are drinks and snacks in the room, but surprisingly, they come at an extra charge despite the room rate. Honestly, at around $1300/night for a weekend in late August, the value for money is a bit low.

The location is super convenient! It's just a few minutes' walk from Qiaocheng East Metro Station. OCT Loft Creative Culture Park, with plenty of dining and shopping options, is about a 10-minute walk away, and Shenzhen Bay Park is also roughly a 10-minute walk in the other direction. The room was clean, and the shower pressure was fantastic – it was a real relief after a long day. However, the hairdryer was a bit annoying; you had to hold the button down constantly for it to work, and the airflow was very weak. I was still trying to dry my hair after 10 minutes!

The reception staff were extremely helpful and assisted us with check-in even at 10:30 PM. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Providing kids' slippers and toothbrush was a nice touch, and the comfortable bedding and thick toilet paper were great. On the downside, there was a cigarette smell in the room, and because DiDi can't pull right up to the entrance, you have to walk about 200 meters, which is something to keep in mind. However, there are tons of restaurants all around, and they even gave us a souvenir at checkout. It will leave me with such wonderful memories!

The hotel's exterior isn't particularly grand, but the overall feel is very clean, and the hallways are bright and fresh, with no stuffy feeling. The bedding and hygiene in the room, which are my top priorities, were very satisfactory. The service attitude was also very friendly and respectful, making me feel like they genuinely cared about providing good service. The hotel's location is excellent; it's close to Happy Valley, Splendid China, and the Folk Culture Village, all within walking distance. Window of the World is also just a short taxi ride away, costing around ten-something yuan. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle, with a park nearby. In the mornings, you can see people practicing Tai Chi from your window. It's also a great place to relax in the hotel when you're tired from exploring. There's a Xin Yin Ni Restaurant on the second floor, reportedly over 20 years old, and the dishes are fantastic! We ordered a roasted pigeon, a plate of pan-fried mixed fish, a lettuce dish, and a sea urchin fried rice, which came out to just over 200 yuan. Highly recommend!

What a pleasant surprise! This place is genuinely pet-friendly! Traveling with my furry friend this time, the overall experience far exceeded my expectations, and I just have to rave about it! The concierge was thoughtful and attentive, proactively communicating pet-stay guidelines even during the booking stage. During our stay, they were incredibly responsive and treated my pet with exceptional gentleness and patience, without any pretense. The staff genuinely loved my little one. The hotel offers a considerate pick-up and drop-off service, so I didn't have to worry about transportation, which greatly reduced the hassle of traveling with a pet. It's truly a blessing for pet-owning families. From arrival and check-in to departure, we felt completely cared for throughout the entire process. Not only did they provide pet amenities, but they also considered every inconvenience of traveling with a pet. The attention to detail was impeccable. My furry child was relaxed and comfortable the whole time. Breakfast featured authentic Cantonese dim sum; the shrimp dumplings and sticky rice with chicken were delicious. A truly joyful trip!

I arrived on November 30th, hoping to check in, but was told it wasn't check-in time yet and the room was still being cleaned. I really wanted to rest up a bit before meeting my friends, so I told the front desk that it was okay if the room was still being cleaned and asked if I could just go in. They said no and told me to wait in the lobby. So, I sat on the sofa shown in the picture in an 'L' shape (shoes off, legs on the sofa, back upright), closing my eyes to rest. Less than two minutes later, a staff member told me, 'Sir, you can't sleep here...' I was speechless...
