Very Good
GGuest UserFarther from downtown than anticipated, but that was my fault for not checking that out beforehand. Still, I used the airport shuttle to get back to the airport and from there I could get a train to downtown.
AAModernMusafirI had a good stay at Comfort Inn & Suites University. The location is very convenient, right near the Banff Trail CTrain station, which made getting around Calgary super easy.
The front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and I really appreciated being allowed to check in early. That small gesture set a positive tone for the stay.
The room itself was okay — functional but showing its age. The furniture felt a bit old and rusty, and the ventilation system made some noise. On the plus side, the toilet was clean and well equipped, which I value highly.
The highlight of my stay was definitely the breakfast. The scrambled eggs and waffles were amazing — honestly, if I return, it would be for the breakfast alone!
Overall, a good experience. With some updates to the rooms, this hotel could easily be a standout option in Calgary.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe hotel upgraded our room to one higher level. The room was quiet even facing a busy road. The staff is friendly and helpful. Choices of food for buffet breakfast. The price was good. To us, the only thing that needed improvement was the weak water of the shower, otherwise everything was perfect!
GGuest UserVery nice hotel. Room was very clean. Wi-FI is excellent!!! TV is more on a small size, but cable includes sports chancels! Beds comfortable enough. Lots of pillows. Keurig coffee maker is a blast. Breakfast excellent Everything you need for a comfortable stay. A little far from train, but you can use a bus. If you travel by car, there is no problem at all. Very convenient location very close to shopping mall.
GGuest UserI booked 4 adults in a room but was given only 3 pillows. We requested and front desk staff said they will deliver to our room but did not. Following morning when we complained we were told they run out of pillows 😔
GGeorge 90The staff is super friendly and the hostel is very clean! I was very happy that I extended one more night . Also I was able to use the amenities after I checked out and my flight was at 10 pm. I would stay again

GGuest UserThis motel is not Econo Lodge in & suites university. Which we stayed also, and was much better than this one (econo lodge motel village).
The room was small and the bathroom smelled unpleasant. The smell came from the shower curtain, which touches the bath tub water. When taking a shower, the water doesn't drain as fast so your feet end up soaking in that water along with the smelly fabric shower curtain. Also, the bath was weirdly higher than the ground so be very careful when getting in. During our stay, there were several bugs that found their way into our room during the night (Mosquitos, flies). The buzzing sound prevented us to sleep so we had to kill the bugs and go back to sleep each time. We also had problems with our room key, we had them replaced several times and you have to slide the card quite a few times before it unlocks. I think it's loose and you need to get the exact right angle, which is annoying when you have your hands full. I recommend the other econolodge situated behind this one. The staffs here are very friendly. For breakfast, they offered coffee, tea but without lids. There's bread and juice served in a solocup (but u can just use the coffee cup). There were muffins. If you have allergies, I suggest you to bring your own food. The price for this motel vs the other econolodge were the same. We try to avoid staying at the same place for our whole trip in case we don't like our room but we ended regretting not booking the other econolodge for our entire trip.

GGuest UserNice enough room for the price. I only stayed for a night but the guy on reception was welcoming on checking in and the room had all of the required amenities for a short stay. The location is just outside of town so will require transport of some kind to get to the centre. Chinook was the closest CTrain stop and around a 15 minute walk.
VVedanandThe room was clean, and I was not expecting to get such a nice and beautiful room to spend the night. It was beyond my expectation. Value for money. That's the main reason I trust Trip.com for all my bookings.

In my experience, the card key failed to open the entrance door but it was replaced at the reception office. I felt safe to be in the second floor due to the entrance door that nobody can enter but the guests with the card key.
I was looking for bedroom slippers but they had none.
