We stayed here for 2 nights labour day long weekend in a king bed suite. There were so many little issues that if management cared to address them, would increase their rating and make the stay for guests so much better. First, we booked our room for 2 adults and 2 children, and still had to call down for more towels as only 2 was provided. We also had to call for bedding for the sofa bed as none was provided. It's like they didn't even look at our preferences or booking information to prepare the room accordingly for us. Second, it was just chaotic and unorganized. There was no parking at all when we would return in the evening. No parking in the underground garage and no parking outside. For both nights, we had to go to the front desk at which point, the manager would try and tetris all the excess vehicles into whatever possible spaces she could find. The breakfast area was overcrowded and dirty. Overflowing garbage bins, coffee ran out by 9:30am, then ran out of napkins, forks, etc. Not well prepared at all. What also didn't make sense was the made to order station. What a waste of staff when they are already clearly understaffed. It seemed like an attempt to control the consumption of their protein selection for the day eg. bacon or sausage. On our first morning, the made to order breakfast was bacon and egg croissant breakfast sandwiches. On the 2nd morning, it was an avocado and egg mcmuffin with a side of sausage. They should just have these all premade and out along with the rest of the buffet. Then you wouldn't need someone to staff that made to order station and just have them help out with the rest of the buffet by ensuring that tables are wiped, garbages are emptied, coffee and utensils etc are replenished. Third, for a hotel at pretty much capacity that weekend, they had one working elevator. There wasn't even a sign for the broken one, but you can tell that it was out of service since there was no light. We ended up using the stairs since the wait time for the elevators was ridiculous. Also, it looks like they are trying to update a few things as noted by all the plastering and painters tape. Yet we didn't see anybody working on these issues and overall, it was just an eye sore. Honestly, unless things improve, we would not stay here again. On the positive side, the room was spacious.

Show that you care! The hotel is new, beautiful and well located. The breakfast room is impressive with its size, tall ceilings, views and terrace. The breakfast itself is great with its variety, including waffles and a delicious South Asian(?) vegetable stew each day. The suites are large and well equipped, and the bed comfortable. Now if only the staff could treat customers a bit better. We paid $30 for underground parking, which was important to us because we got an upgraded rental car and were liable for it. On the second day, the garage was completely full, with more cars entering the garage - thanks to a broken capacity indicator that permanently shows 208 spaces. Staff basically blamed it on the fact that the garage is a private facility unrelated to the hotel. They sent us to two nearby surface lots. One was only available till 8:00 at a cost of $22.52. The second one was a dirt field. 1. I don’t care whose lot it is. You sold me access to it at an extortionate price and did not mention any other options, implicitly endorsing it. 2. Don’t sell more spaces than you have, especially at that price. 3. Know and explain options. Don’t direct your customers to a lot that only sells space till 8:00 for over 3 times the price as the next lot. You are wasting my time. Then at 4:00 am, we were woken up by a loud motor noise coming from the fridge. We had to move it and unplug it (it’s a full size fridge, not a hotel fridge). The clerk’s reaction? “Sorry about that, I’ll tell maintenance.” We had one night parking taken off the bill. No consideration for the hassle both from the parking and the fridge. You can do better. Better policies, better communication and a bit more generosity. Overall, not a good experience.

I have stayed at many hotels in Calgary but this is my go to unless my work books us. The staff here are great and service in general is awesome. I like the selection of ppv movies including one's still in theaters. The restaurant and lounge are nice as is the free airport shuttle. The best rooms are the king bed rooms on the 5th floor.

When I first checked in, I said that I only had one room, showed the order number to the front desk, and finally got the room card for two rooms. However, after checking out the next day, I was deducted more than 160 plus, repeatedly looking for Ctrip to check, and finally the hotel responded that I booked three rooms on the spot.

The hotel is a bit far from the airport, but there is an airport shuttle bus. After getting off the plane, call the front desk to inform, and then wait at platform 16 for about 20 minutes. The overall environment is clean and relatively quiet, and the room size is OK. The next day I took the shuttle bus to the airport to pick up the car. Live this hotel back and forth, nice!

Simon helped us book a room at the front desk in February and really helped us a lot when he helped us book a room with pets. I am sure the room we stayed in was just improved, even if we were with pets. We met Simon yesterday afternoon, he made our stay very convenient, we were very satisfied with our newly improved room, the room was very clean. The hotel provided us with dog food, ** snacks and dog bags. The hotel is very good! Simon is also great! We will definitely come back when we want to enjoy all the facilities.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel with a friend from out of town during stampede - so we paid a pretty penny for a hotel that clearly needed to iron out issues before opening. My friend and I have chosen to find the humor in it all, but what a journey. Concerns: From the start - they couldn't find our booking and then didn't honor the upgrade to a 2 bedroom room that we had booked. The sofabed was fine - but both nights we had to ask for duvets and pillows for it. - Our first room - the toilet literally was coming away from the drywall to the point we worried it would come right out of the wall, the shower didn't get more than lukewarm, and there was no fan or hooks in the bathroom. We asked for maintenance to come up the next morning -we left for the day and came back to no changes - went back to main desk who informed us that we were being moved - but this hadn't been communicated to us and there were issues finding us a new room. - Second room - dim lighting in bathroom, again issues with water and no fan, deadbolt on the main door did not work and the secondary lock was missing - so definitely safety concerns. In both rooms the cable went in and out consistently and there was no way to connect to a streaming site. In the hallways by the elevators the wallpaper was literally coming off from the corners. Pros: The staff were kind and helpful and the University District area is so lovely and fun. I think this hotel does have potential when things are fixed.
