Absolutely Obsessed with my stay at The Residence Inn by Marriott downtown / Beltline. I got such a great deal booking on trips I booked for 5 days and got a great discount. The rooms are huge and have everything you need and OH MY GOD the buffet breakfast 😍 I would stay here again just to have the breakfast it’s amazing and SO much variety of food healthy and a bit naughty and free coffees ect aswell - and the best part is it’s included for free in your stay. TAKE MY MONEY. The gym is great too perfect amount of equipment, well lit and a nice view, plus filtered water. Guest laundry is easy to use, they sell laundry powder at reception and it’s $2 a load. Reception are friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is in a great central location. I actually stayed here alone and felt very safe and welcomed. Super happy with my stay here I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Really great hotel; nice rooms, bedding, shower. Seemed like it was brand new but I didn’t ask. We had a king bed with this mini couch that we discovered pulled out to a bed. We walked to the Peace bridge which was nice. Stephen Avenue was about 1/2 mile walk and a ton of cool restaurants and pubs are there. This hotel has a cool rooftop and two restaurants but we didn’t get a chance to go. People seemed to like them.

Everything about our stay was top notch. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. All staff we encountered either at the front desk, bar, restaurant or housekeeping were very friendly and ensured all our needs were met. The hotel is located very close to the City Hall LRT stop, so travelling around town was very convenient as we decided to NOT rent a car on this trip. A caution though, this location is not in the ‘heart’ of downtown so we found it somewhat limited if you want to go out and stroll around for shops, restaurants etc.. Since we were here visiting family, this wasn’t top of list for us. Also the breakfast was fantastic and fully met our expectations.

Water pressure is great and the toilet even has a bidet. The property has a charming outdoor garden/patio area. The pool temperature is warm. The hot tub temperature is great, but is a bit on the small side. There is a well equiped gym for guest use. This hotel is truly a gem!

Right inside the terminal, check-in is right outside the hotel, perfect for overnight stays and early morning flights.
The room was decent, clean and tidy, suitable for business trips. You can see the planes taking off and landing at Calgary Airport from the room.
There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel lobby.
The only drawback is that the sliding door of the toilet faces the bed.

GGuest User2023.03.18
I booked the Westin to cover me for a late flight into Calgary. I was able to move my flight to an earlier time but was inside the cancellation time for the hotel, so I stayed the night. The hotel presents well from the exterior, smells of freshness and clean when you walk in, and the lobby kept clean with newer furnishing. I checked in and went directly to the restaurant to get food before they closed. The prices were decent for an airport hotel with limited offerings near the location. I ordered the Mahi and it was cooked properly, tasted wonderful and the sides were just as good. The cheesecake was good but reminded me of the multi-wheel cheesecake you get at Costco. It was good but paled in comparison to the Mahi. The waiter was a younger guy that was engaging, had stories about working for Marriott, his travels and places he still wants to see. Overall, a great end of the day dining experience. Once I got to the room, it was very nice. With my status and an upgrade coupon, I was able to get an upgrade to a suite that had a nice, large shower and tub in the suite. There was limited noise from outside to interfere with sleep. The bed is the typical Marriott set up providing a good nights sleep. The TV was a nice size and the controls for lights and heat easy to access and use. The following morning, I was up for breakfast. The good experience from the previous night, at the same restaurant, was smashed for breakfast. I arrived to a 'wait to be seated' sign so I waited for 5-7 minutes watching the waitstaff serve and clean tables. There were 3 active tables, 7-10 tables to be cleaned and three waitstaff in the area. Once I was able to get one person’s attention, he wanted me to sit at a table that had not been clean from the previous customer. I found a clean table with no silverware with expectations that the waiter would see I need silverware and bring some to the table. Once I was seated, the waiting continued. Even if they were busy, which they were not, a flyby to say ”I will be there shortly' is expected. After waiting more than 10 minutes, with all of the waitstaff walking in and around me, I held up the menu to get their attention. One said, 'I thought you were taking that table' to the other person’s reply 'no, it's yours'. I ordered but the staff did not write down the order. Before he left, he asked me again what I wanted so I repeated it and said 'it is ok to write it down' but he said he was good. I handed over my free breakfast coupon before he left. When he brought the coffee, he confirmed the order and had it wrong. Third repeat of the correct order to the waiter and the food still came to me wrong and I had to retrieve my own silverware so I could eat. I had already waited 20+ minutes on getting food so I ate what they brought to me. What was prepared was good but not what I ordered. I rationalized with myself that breakfast was free, so it was not that big of an issue. After the food was served th

The checkin went very smoothly and my room was clean and spacious. It was very convenient to the Calgary Airport. Although it was connected I only found the bridge way that lead to the parking garage and then found entrance to hotel. When you walk out the hotel front door you can see the entrance to the airport. You can reach the entrance in less than a minute. I will definitely stay again when in Calgary. I especially love the added security of needed my room keycard to operate the elevators. There is a phone near the elevator should you lock yourself out.

KKathyWe loved our experience at The Dorian! Room was beautiful with so many details covered. Bathroom was huge (hard to find these days) and we especially loved the details in the wet bar cart. Service was friendly from check in to check out. We did not eat on site, but the location was in walking distance to our dinner date. Only negative was the cleaning staff talking loudly in the hallway at 9 am for about 20 minutes. I should have let them know their voices carried into our room, but instead didn't say anything...I regret that after the fact. All in all, we had a great time and will for sure book at the Dorian again!

GGuest UserThis new hotel is located just a short distance west of the Calgary Airport. It is very fresh and clean. Rooms are not large but are very comfortable and the design and appointments are terrific. Believe every room has a full kitchen including a stove top and dishwasher. Utensils and dishes were more than adequate. Only pots and pans were a bit sparce. There is a coffee bar but no toaster. Had a great sleep each of the 2 nights we stayed. The heat/ac unit worked very well and best of all, it was quiet. And the window can be opened a bit. We did not use the restaurant but there is a breakfast buffet for $10.50/person and a full-service restaurant. The hotel has fitness centre, pool and free shuttle service to and from the airport. Only negative is we found that lighting for the bathroom mirror, even with the separate light that goes all around the edge of the mirror on, could be better. Value for money spent was very good. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

GGuest UserMy friend and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Blackfoot! When we were checking in, we told the man at the front desk that we were heading upstairs to play Kings Cribbage. He said, ”Why don't you come down and enjoy a Bailey's in the lounge, and we'll turn on the fire for you?” It was a lovely suggestion, and so we sat by the cozy fireplace, drank Baileys, and played Kings Cribbage until midnight. A wonderful memory for us!

GGuest UserWe better not Jed the hotel for a night to attend a concert. It would have been a long walk to the Saddledome and it was very cold so we took a taxi. It cost $15.00 one way which would have been the cost to park our vehicle at the Saddledome.
The breakfast in the morning was a continental breakfast with plenty of everything.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

GGuest UserThe room and hallways were outdated and retro but still clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. We had a bizarre issue with the check-in where the front desk tried to tell us our reservation had been cancelled months prior, which was not true. We didn't cancel our reservation, and if they did on their end they never notified us of it. In fact, I was still receiving emails about checking in for my reservation the day before we arrived, so it was very stressful and confusing to get there and be told our reservation was cancelled months ago. Luckily they still had rooms for us, but still. Get your reservation and notification system sorted out.

Ppig-01Although the hotel is not far from Calgary Airport, it is suitable for driving. Parking is free. There are shopping centers and Chinese supermarkets T&T not far from the surrounding area. There is some space on the edge of the hotel lobby. Free American breakfast is provided. Our suites include two separate queen bedrooms and two bathrooms, the kitchen is connected to the living room, the living room has a sofa bed (suitable for one person), the kitchen provides a refrigerator, microwave and required cookware and cutlery, and seasonings - salt and pepper. Facilities, furniture and decoration are a bit old, but they are all very useful.

AAnonymous UserCheck in took a bit of a long time but the staff was very helpful. Highlight of this hotel is definitely the water park. The water slides are so much fun for the kids and even though there is no lifeguard, the pool is relatively safe for 7 years old and above taken into account the depth of the pool. Remember to bring your floats if your kiddos cannot swim independently yet

GGuest UserHoliday Inn Express & Suites Calgary South-Macleod Trail S, an IHG Hotel Horrible stay at this hotel! (Dec 31st/Jan 1st 2023) If I could give it a ZERO star, I would. Don't waste your money on this horrible hotel. It should be demolished. My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night on December 31st 2022. Check in was difficult at 4pm. They said they weren't sure if our room was ready, even though check in time starts at 3pm. We were the only people in the lobby at that time. We waited about 20 to 30 minutes for the staff to give us our room cards. Once we were in the elevator we saw a sign that said pool area is out of service until further notice. This was one of the main reasons for staying at this hotel. We couldn't use the hot tub, pool or water slide. We were very disappointed that no one told me when I called to make the reservation a month before or even when we checked in that afternoon to the hotel. Once we got to our room it looked nice until I opened the blinds to the window. There was thick black mold all over the window sill. Pictures provided. It was really gross! We then made our way over to the bathroom where we found more black mold in the shower stall and up the walls. The shower stall and the bathroom sink faucet wouldn't stop dripping. We called the front desk she said because it's a holiday weekend we are short staffed. No one did come to fix the problem. Walls are paper thin. We could hear people talking in the hallways and the TV in the room beside us. On the morning of January 1st 2023 we went downstairs for their hot breakfast to find only 2 apples and 3 muffins left. I asked the desk where the hot breakfast was as this was another reason for staying at this hotel. She said because it's a holiday no staff is here to prepare breakfast so this is what we have. Very disappointed we packed up our stuff and checked out. We asked to speak to the manager about a possible refund or a partial refund because they didn't inform us about the pool closure or the non-hot breakfast. (If we knew about this ahead of time we would have booked elsewhere) The lady at the desk gave us a hard time saying the manager was on a call and couldn't talk to us, then saying he won't be in the office till a later date. She offered us 1 small bottle of water for the inconvenience. After we got home my partner called the manager and left a voice-mail. It took over 2 weeks for them to actually connect on the phone. The manager of the hotel finally gave us a refund of $35 which was OK but we will never stay at this hotel again. I will also tell anyone and everyone I know not to stay here.
